[Exclusive] BIGBANG Presents 2nd Versions of “LIE” and “FANTASTIC BABY” for New Release

[OSEN=손남원 기자] While BIGBANG’s “LOSER” has been dominating music charts during entire May, it has been known that the team’s new songs to be released on June 1 will be exciting ones with a strong beat and quick tempo, like “FANTASTIC BABY” and “LIE”.

According to YG insiders, “LOSER” and “BAE BAE” were kind of sentimental songs that stimulate appetite like an appetizer of dinner course, and the new songs are like the fancy main dish of the course, which will excite and entertain fans to the extent that they will naturally stamp their feet.

While BIGBANG shot the music video of the new songs during the holidays a few days ago, insiders hinted that the new songs will be exciting songs that remind of “LIE”, “LAST FAREWELL”, and “FANTASTIC BABY”. Some music insiders who had an opportunity to listen to the new songs added to the already-high expectations for the songs, saying that they have even faster beat and stronger mood than “FANTASTIC BABY”.

Notably, the new songs are drawing big attention from not only Korea but also the Western pop market, as world-class female choreographer Paris Goebel worked with BIGBANG for the new songs and directly acted in the music video. YG insiders said that YG’s head producer YANG HYUN SUK spared no effort to scout Paris Goebel, to help the further globalization of BIGBANG who has grown into a world-famous artist.

Paris Goebel has seen a rapid evolution of her career since her choreography production of TAEYANG’s solo “RINGA LINGA” and GD X TAEYANG’s “GOOD BOY”. She is now famous as a top choreographer in the world, who cannot be easily casted because of busy schedules.

The music video BIGBANG’s new song is directed by Seo Hyun-seung who directed the music video of “FANTASTIC BABY”, which will add all the more synergy to it. The music video of “FANTASTIC BABY” has recently set the biggest-click record among BIGBANG’s music videos, surpassing 150 million clicks on YouTube alone.

BIGBANG’s power has been proven to be enormous, once again. As of May 26 in the morning, “LOSER” is in the No.1 place on the real-time chart of Korea’s biggest music-streaming website Melon, going up the chart again and recording the No.1 for five days in a row. “LOSER” swept the top places on 10 major music-streaming websites upon its release, and stayed in the top for 20 days. Since then, its long-run is continuing, taking the No.1 back despite attack from new songs.

BIGBANG released new songs “LOSER” and “BAE BAE” on the 1 of this month and began performances for the new songs in earnest. The two songs swept the No.1 and No.2 on the real-time chart of 10 major music-streaming websites upon their release. Notably, “LOSER” has stayed in the No.1 for nearly 20 days. The No.1 was taken by new releases for a while, but “LOSER” has taken it back in five days, showing an enormous power.

Plus, it earned 10 crowns in music shows, being called the “king of the trophies”. Beginning from taking the No.1 with “LOSER” in MBC “Show! Music Center” upon their comeback even without a performance in the show, BIGBANG has taken the No.1 in KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank”, cable channel Mnet’s “M-Countdown”, MBC Muusic’s “Show Champion”, etc. Notably, the team achieved a triple crown in SBS “INKIGAYO”, by taking the No.1 for three consecutive weeks.

Now, music fans are paying keen attention to what the new songs to be released in five days will achieve, following that of “LOSER”. Since BIGBANG made this month of May “a month of BIGBANG”, people are showing high interest in what new appeals the new songs to be released on the 1 of next month will show and how they will surpass the records set by “LOSER”.
