Key East Entertainment Refutes Reports That Kim Soo Hyun Is in Talks to Appear in a Hong Kong Movie

Actor Kim Soo Hyun‘s star is rising not just in Korea, but in China as well. Hong Kong media have reported that Kim Soo Hyun’s advancement into China is currently under discussion, but his agency has dismissed these reports.

Hong Kong’s HK Channel reported on February 14 that , “Kim Soo Hyun, who is currently enjoying much popularity in China due to ‘Man from the Stars,’ is currently in talks to appear in the movie ’Pao Mo Zhi Xia.’”

A Sneak Peek at What SM Entertainment is Preparing to Release in 2014

The start of 2014 has been quite busy for SM Entertainment. Starting with TVXQ’s comeback in the beginning of January, the agency recently announced that Girls’ Generation would also be making their official comeback with the song “Mr. Mr.” Yet, there is much more in store for 2014, as SM has been preparing for their artists’ comebacks. In a recent interview with SM Entertainment’s producing team leader, Lee Sung Soo, the agency revealed their plans for 2014.

The producing team leader commented, “After TVXQ’s and Girls’ Generation’s comebacks, the agency plans to make another EXO comeback. Also we have two surprise projects that will be released within the first half of the year. For Super Junior, we have been preparing their new concept since the end of last year. In f(x)’s case, we have been working with our ‘Teddy Riley’s Writing Camp’ program, and our composers are writing new songs very diligently.”

It is only February, and yet we are excited to see what more SM Entertainment has in store for us this year. 2014 will be a year full of comebacks for SM artists!

Biracial couple gets raw deal on adoption

A “multicultural” couple ― Korean wife and American husband ― living in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province, learned the hard way that couples like them are effectively blocked from adopting a baby.

In August 2012, the couple decided to adopt. They soon found they faced an uphill struggle and nearly gave up. Three major adoption agencies they contacted said they had no idea how they could arrange an adoption for a Korean-foreigner couple under the revised Adoption Law.

“We checked with Holt but they told me they didn’t know how they could help,” the wife remembered during a recent interview with The Korea Times. Holt refers to Holt Children’s Services, the country’s largest adoption agency.
