INFINITE L Confirms Role in Upcoming Series

INFINITE member L has confirmed his role in his upcoming TV series, the show’s promoter announced on Tuesday.

A press release by 3HW.COM said that L will play the driver and personal assistant of the drama’s main character Cha Jung-woo, the boss of a top IT firm, to be played by actor Joo Sang-wook in “Devious Divorcee” (translated title).

However, L’s character will also have a personal relationship with Cha, being the only soulmate-like person that Cha can talk to and rely on.

Of his upcoming role, L was quoted as saying, “I’m honored to get to work with such great senior actors and I’ll do my best to become a more solid actor through this drama.”

An official with the producing company was quoted as saying, “L will attract viewers as a personal assistant who speaks frankly and interferes with everything Joo Sang-wook’s character does.”

“Devious Divorcee,” set to go on air after current Wednesday and Thursday series “Miss Korea” ends its run this month, will be a romantic comedy, also starring actress Rhee Min-jung, that tells about the realizations a divorced couple have about love and marriage when they re-encounter each other.

First Gen Idol Group g.o.d. Records Special 15th Anniversary Song

With rumors spreading that g.o.d. is coming together to release a full-length album celebrating 15 years since it’s debut, Kim Tae Woo’s agency revealed its current situation.

Soulshop Entertainment, Kim Tae Woo’s agency, told enews on January 28, “It’s true that they recorded a special song to celebrate their 15th anniversary, but the specific contract between agencies in regards to the release of a full-length album has not been established yet. We’re facing some difficulties as the members are currently in different agencies.”

g.o.d halted its promotional activities after releasing its 7th album in 2005, with the members carrying on with their individual activities thereafter.

In celebration of its 15th anniversary, however, the members put efforts to record a special song together, but whether or not they will be able to release a full-length album is unclear.

The agency rep also stated, “If we reach a mutual agreement between agencies, it might be possible, but as of now that is not the case. We have been discussing the album release, but not much has advanced since a similar report came out last November. We have no idea what the end result will be.”

Kara’s Hang Seung Yeon and Hong Jong Hyun met to shoot the drama poster for the upcoming drama Girls Comic Shoes.

During the photo shoot for drama poster, Hong Jong Hyun, who is a model-turned-actor, was seen leading on Han Seung Yeon as they posed for the camera.

In Girls Comic Shoes, Han Seung Yeon will act as ‘Shin Ji Hoo,’ a new girl at work who is afraid to fall in love and develops a crush on her co-worker Hong Jong Hyun.

Hong Jong Hyun will act as the guy who has lots of dating experience and is rather cynical about love, but slowly transforms as he meets Ji Hoo.

A drama staff stated, “This was the first time that Han Seung Yeon and Hong Jong Hyun have acted opposite each other, but they showed great team work, to the point where one might think they are lovers in real life. You can get your expectations up for this couple’s chemistry.”

Meanwhile, Girls Comic Shoes will air the first episode on February 24 through SBS Plus, online and mobile services.

The FT Island member has been cast as the protagonist ‘Lee Gyo Soo’ for an upcoming film No One to Trust in the World (translated).

No One to Trust in the World is a film about three armed thieves and Seung Hyun will be taking the role of Lee Gyo Soo, a mysterious and serious thief that hides his thoughts.

Seung Hyun has been building up his acting career by appearing in numerous musicals, being the youngest actor to play the role of ‘Daniel’ in Jack the Ripper in 2012 and making his appearance in Summer Snow and Three Musketeers.

He is currently performing for Three Musketeers and will be preparing to star in the upcoming film.

Kara to recruit two new members and make a comeback this year

Kara will be recruiting two new members into the team and make a comeback as a five member group during the later half of this year.

DSP Media, Kara’s agency, revealed its plans to recruit new members to replace Nicole, whose contract recently terminated, and Kang Ji Young, whose contract will end in April, to have Kara remain a five membered group.

A DSP rep said, “Kara’s Han Seung Yeon and Park Gyuri will be focusing on their acting during the earlier part of this year, and after we recruit two members, Kara will release a new song and comeback in the later half of the year.”

It has also been reported that the agency is working on a special project to seek for the new members among its current trainees.

The rep added, “We are going to recruit the new members in an acceptable and reasonable way for fans and the other members. We will release an official statement once we have specific plans.”

Meanwhile, after leaving Kara, Nicole left for New York in order to prepare for her solo album.

Kang Ji Young, has also expressed her plans to leave to study abroad, essentially announcing her plans to leave Kara.

A surprising and unfortunate news has come to Nine Muses' fans as two members have confirmed their withdrawal from the group.

Member Lee Sem (Lee Hyeonju) and Park Eunji are going to leave Nine Muses, their agency confirmed on January 29. They stated, "After 4 years of being Nine Muses members, Lee Sem and Eunji are going to officially withdraw." They continued, "They have been together for a long time ever since their debut days and we think it's the agency's duty to respect their personal decision."

"Eunji and Lee Sem are going to meet you in the future in variety of areas. However, we haven't discussed about specific details yet." It seems like the two members are still going to continue their contract under the agency.
