Kara will be recruiting two new members into the team and make a comeback as a five member group during the later half of this year.
DSP Media, Kara’s agency, revealed its plans to recruit new members to replace Nicole, whose contract recently terminated, and Kang Ji Young, whose contract will end in April, to have Kara remain a five membered group.
A DSP rep said, “Kara’s Han Seung Yeon and Park Gyuri will be focusing on their acting during the earlier part of this year, and after we recruit two members, Kara will release a new song and comeback in the later half of the year.”
It has also been reported that the agency is working on a special project to seek for the new members among its current trainees.
The rep added, “We are going to recruit the new members in an acceptable and reasonable way for fans and the other members. We will release an official statement once we have specific plans.”
Meanwhile, after leaving Kara, Nicole left for New York in order to prepare for her solo album.
Kang Ji Young, has also expressed her plans to leave to study abroad, essentially announcing her plans to leave Kara.
