Kim Soo Hyun Convinced Jun Ji Hyun to Star in ‘You Who Came From the Stars

It turns out Kim Soo Hyun played a vital role in casting Jun Ji Hyun for the drama You Who Came From the Stars.

A recent recording od E Channel’s Brave Reporters revealed the story behind casting Jun Ji Hyun for SBS’s You Who Came From the Stars.

A guest reporter on the show said, “The lead actress of the drama, Jun Ji Hyun, rejected the casting offer in the beginning.”

When the panel of celebrities asked the reporter why she rejected, he said, “She was receiving many love calls from dramas and movies after successfully starring in The Thieves and The Berlin File. She was already talking with a movie when she received casting offer for You Who Came From the Stars.”

But the drama production team, who had Jun Ji Hyun in mind from the beginning, didn’t give up on casting her. Kim Soo Hyun also put his efforts into casting the actress, claiming that she was the only one fit for the role of ‘Chun Song Yi.’

“Kim Soo Hyun who acted alongside Jun Ji Hyun in the movie The Thieves, contacted her personally and was finally able to convince her to act in the drama,” said the reporter.
