Kim Soohyun's SBS drama "You Came from the Stars" will begin airing on December 25th while Suzy is continuing to promote Miss A's latest release "Hush".

Taeyang’s new song “Ringa Linga” contains a “story I’ve been wanting to tell.”

BIGBANG Taeyang’s previous solo tracks, “Look Only At Me,” “Where U At,” “Wedding Dress” and “I Need A Girl” were all songs based on the theme of love. His new song “Ringa Linga” breaks from that tradition and chooses a more free-spirited path.

The song’s lyrics, “Wave your hands like you’re free,” “Shake like you’ve got a seizure,” “Women (cry) at my body and my songs,” brought out his witty, provocative side.

The movie ‘Commitment’ (director: Park Hong Soo; production: The Lamp, Golden Fish) led by Big Bang’s T.O.P, is proving to be a big success especially with students taking the Sooneung.

According to statistics released by the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) today, ‘Commitment’ which had opened on November 6th, drew 130,737 admissions yesterday to lead the box office chart.

‘Commitment’ is the comeback piece for T.O.P after a 3 year hiatus since ’71: Into the Fire’, and sees T.O.P lead a movie for the first time in his career. The movie is about a North Korean youth named Myung Hoon (T.O.P), who is forced to become a spy in South Korea in order to save his sister Hye In (Kim Yoo Jung) from harm.

SHINee’s Taemin recently shared with viewers that he has no desire to date publicly just yet.

On November 12, he starred as a guest on KBS’s quiz program “1 vs. 100.” He began by clarifying his standpoint on dating by saying, “If I said I’d never dated before, I’d be lying to you. I’ve even kissed.” To which, MC Han Seok Jun of course had to ask, “When did you have your first relationship and kiss?” Taemin replied, “I had my first relationship in elementary school, and my first kiss in kindergarten.” He continued, “Since I’m at that age where I would probably be wanting to date a girl, there are probably many people who think I would want to date – but actually, I don’t have that desire. Maybe it’s because I’ve been filming ”We Got Married’ and I’ve been able to experience things here and there. If I do begin a romantic relationship, I would want to be able to date comfortably. When I get older, I might want to make my relationship public, but right now I don’t want to.”

This is both a question and a discussion. I didn't see any article of this, and since Norazo isn't the most popular I'm not sure if there ever will be. I initially saw this image on my facebook feed and immediately thought blackface. The brown paint and the hair screamed it, but the carrot confuses me. I then saw some comments mention they were supposed to be horses, and I would be pretty relieved if that was the case. Kind of a fail horse cosplay, but I'd much rather that be the reason. In any case I feel this could be straightened out if a member could understand this article talking about it. It may even be announcing a new album concept or something. Actually, I looked more and found this quote from their facebook on November 3rd.

"The Norazo concert was fantastic!!! The audience were the first to hear the upcoming new single, 'Wild Horse' !! It is a powerful upbeat song that is sure to make Gangnam Style sound like a horse's fart!! It will be released on November 13th!!!!!

So my questions are:

1. can anyone confirm what the article sourced at the bottom says?

Big Bang member Taeyang recently expressed interest in acting after attending the premiere of “The Alumni” featuring fellow member T.O.P.

On November 11, Taeyang met with press at a cafe and shared his thoughts on pursuing acting himself in the future. “I just watched ‘The Alumni’ starring T.O.P as a leading actor, and I thought he did an amazing job. When I watched the movie, I saw him as the character, not as my fellow group member.” Taeyang added lightly, “If I was ever given the opportunity to act, I’m sure I wouldn’t disappoint.” He continued, “I wasn’t interested in it before, and it’s not as though I have an overwhelming interest in it right now…but while watching movies even at home – I realized that movies and music alike can make you feel something. If I was given a role that suited me and allowed me to express those feelings, I don’t think it would be a bad idea to try it out.”

He will be acting out an innocent first love romance and will be working with many popular actors in Japan.

This drama expresses the innocent and pureness of young people's first love.

The honesty and reality of the story line will surely capture the audience's attention.

Seungri commented, "I studied hard in order to play my role. I studied Japanese everyday and made sure everything sounded correct. I hope that I am able to show a different side of me through this role."

He also worked together to created the theme song for the drama as well.

The theme song is also included in his most recent solo album release.

More and more Koreans are deciding to stay single or, if they marry, to have no children. Like most developments this is led by the capital, where the number of people who live alone has increased more than 10-fold over the last 30 years, while that of childless couples has grown more than four times.

The figures come from data about the 3.6 million households within city limits released by the Seoul Metropolitan Government on Tuesday.

Childless married couples accounted for a mere 5.51 percent or 101,135 households in 1980, but that surged to 12.8 percent or 423,229 in 2010.

Among singles the surge was even more dramatic -- from 4.49 percent or 82,477 households in 1980 to a whopping 24.39 percent or 854,606 in 2010. From the rarest kind of domestic setup, the single household has now turned into the second most common.

Popular boy band CNBLUE is to release a documentary titled “The Story of CNBLUE/ Never Stop” in Japan.

The group is scheduled to attend the Tokyo premiere of the documentary on Dec. 16., but the documentary will be officially released on Jan. 17 in theaters across Japan.

The film captures the band’s life before stardom when they were just an indie band in Japan and after they became popular with performances in Korea. The film features the daily life of the band, largely revolving around their activities both in Korea and Japan.

Meanwhile, CNBLUE embarked on a Japanese arena tour, “One More Time,” starting on Nov. 1 in Saitama, and is set to perform in Osaka from Nov. 26-27, Hiroshima on Dec. 6, Nagoya Dec. 18-19, and Fukuoka on Dec. 26.

Pop, derived from the word "popular," is a genre that's continually hard to define. Pop music shifts constantly, but over time, it has been known to include catchy melodies and hooks, repeated choruses, and widespread appeal. Today, pop music borders on a lot of rap and dance music, but at its core, the aforementioned qualities define it.

Picking a list of The 50 Best Pop Album Covers of the Past Five Years is hardly an easy task, but it's one that reveals a lot about how these album covers work. Especially in the context of recent pop releases—Katy Perry's Prism, Lady Gaga's ARTPOP, Sky Ferreira's Night Time, My Time, and M.I.A.'s Matangi—one realizes the tendency for pop covers to be direct facial portraits, sometimes without much more styling or design.

When it comes to more indie releases, the imaging naturally gets more experimental. Ailee’s agency, YMC Entertainment, has taken concrete moves in order to take legal action in regards to the distribution of the singer’s nude photos.

A representative from YMC Entertainment stated to a local news source on November 12 KST, “CEO Jo Yoo Myung has personally appointed a lawyer in the U.S. However, we cannot currently reveal specific plans as we are still in the process of closely examining the facts.” The reason for appointing a U.S. lawyer is due to the difficulty of investigating from South Korea, as all sources of the photos are located overseas.

A source from the foreign affairs department of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency also commented, “The foreign affairs department doesn’t always take on every investigation involving foreigners.” Pointing to the lengthy and difficult process of obtaining help from U.S. law enforcement agencies and embassy, the source stated, “It will be hard to expect a proper investigation in the case of Ailee.” The source continued, “But if [the agency] appointed a U.S. lawyer, the speedy procurement of the identity of Ailee’s ex-boyfriend might be possible. It will depend on how much ‘Allkpop’ cooperates.”

YMC Entertainment has also stated to several news sources that Ailee will be continuing as normal with her promotions and activities in Japan scheduled for the month of November. Ailee had made her Japanese debut earlier this month with the release of the single “Heaven” on November 6. There are currently no decisions made for the singer’s activities in December.

After staying below the K-Pop radar in recent days, B.A.P is bringing ~~sexy back~~ beautiful pictures of its members in a specially made calendar for the fans.

On November 12, TS Entertainment announced the release of its special limited edition calendar titled 2014 Season’s Greetings.

While the calendar will give you all the dates of 2014, it also serves as a beautiful photo book filled with the 24 hours of the B.A.P members.

“The Season’s Greeting is B.A.P asking the fans to join them as the group awaits everything that will happen in 2014,” explained TS Entertainment. “With the concept of 24 hours, you’ll be able to see different sides to the B.A>P members and get the feeling that the members are always with you.”

The photos unveiled on November 12 show the group’s maknae napping under the afternoon sun, while leader Bang Yong Guk flaunted off his back as he dreamily stared out into the window.

The special limited edition package will be released on November 22.

Meanwhile, B.A.P will begin its first Japanese tour, Warrior Beings (op note: it's Warrior Begins) on November 19.

Well doggone it.. What is Kpop and why is it so ‘poppin?

It is a mixture of Pop, Rock, Hip Hop and even R&B #KOREANstyle. Thanks to the Internet, KPOP is recognized all over the world.

So here is where my story begins. Here is an artist who went solo in 2007 from the popular group, Big Bang. Taeyang was first introduced to me, through a friend, who has lived in South Korea for over 4 years. I went into her apartment and saw this huge poster on her wall and said, “Is this your man?” She smiled and “introduced” me to him.

I teach English to most elementary and middle school students who are Big Bang’s biggest fans. They kind of remind me of the days when I was their age during the N’Sync and Backstreet Boys era. My cousins and I would buy ALL CDs, magazines, and tear out large size posters and hang them on my bedroom wall. Today, my students have notebooks, stickers, and nearly 99 percent of them have smartphones with wallpaper and ringtones of famous KPOP stars. Luckily, I’ve been able pick up on work as a part-time model, dancer, and actress as a Black woman in Korea, (YAAY), and one of them was to be a part of Taeyang’s comeback music video “Ringa Linga.” During the 16-hour + shoot… I met so many fun, talented people on the shoot, from all over the world. Off camera, we were singing, dancing, and telling jokes during down time. We definitely created a “Comeback family” during that time.

What I especially liked about this shoot was that he hired over 30 foreigners for the shoot.Don’t get me wrong, I’m still new to KPOP and haven’t sat and watched all videos, but I think this move was pretty brilliant to introduce more foreigners to his music (break time)–>

The set was filled with tribal, eccentric, artsy things all around. Abandoned cars, large animal made out of used tires, and a large symbol that represented the meaning of Taeyang’s stage name, “The Sun Will Rise.” I don’t want to give too much away, Ill post the video below… So anyway…

SUCCESS! The shoot was over… I’ve been waiting, along with some of my new friends from set, for the video premiere. To make sure, I would see it first, so I followed YG Entertainment (the artist’s label) and I found out many things!!

#1 — Asia probably has the most ride or die fans I’ve ever seen! I mean, probably 80% percent are under 18, and these fans are ridiculously cute, lovable, and supportive people.

#2— Taeyang has a thing for Hip Hop and American urban culture. I saw some photos of him with cornrows, loose clothing, and swag… somethings I never see walking on the streets of Seoul. Not to mention the R&B swag for sure get the ladies bothered.

#3—There is NO WAY an artist like him can have a relationship. It would ruin his career and possible his significant other can be threatened. Again, his fans are die-hard; I’ve read comments under his photos and boy…

#4—His label, YG Entertainment has a ball jerking around his fans. Not literally, but I like the way they held a countdown and gave teasers for his new song, which by the way has ranked #1 in 5 Asian countries. #5— There are not many opportunities for fans to meet artists, like an autograph session, contests to win dates, you know, the cutesy things America does.

#6— He’s pretty fine and his English is superb! TIS ALL.

MBLAQ’s Mir has revealed that his shopping experience in Japan has gotten much better thanks to U-Know Yunho.

Mir appeared on SBS Power FM’s ‘Kim Young Cheol’s Fun Fun Today’ and revealed that he would sometimes mention TVXQ U-Know Yunho’s name to get discounts on the items he bought while on a trip to Japan.

Talking about how to shop overseas, Mir confessed, “Because K-pop is extremely popular all over the world, revealing that I’m from Korea helps me when I have to haggle.”

He continued to add, “When I go to Japan, I pretend that I’m friends with U-Know Yunho by saying things like ‘I live in the same apartment as him,’ or ‘U-Know Yunho knows my name,’ to get discounts on things I buy.”

‘Korean Monster’ Hyun-jin Ryu and the ‘famous idol star’ Suzy have been spotted recording the variety show ‘Running Man’.

On November 12, a source from SBS said to TV Report, “Currently, Hyun-jin Ryu and Suzy are recording ‘Running Man’.

Hyun-jin Ryu and Suzy are reported to have met at a hotel in Seoul and moved to Gawanju, Gyeonggi Province in the morning. The two are recording the Hyun-jin Ryu special episode of ‘Running Man’.

On the first part of the Hyun-jin Ryu special episode of SBS’s ‘Good Sunday-Running Man’ aired on November 10, Hyun-jin Ryu and EXO appeared. Hyun-jin Ryu appeared in a video and gave missions to the ‘Running Man’ members. EXO and the ‘Running Man’ members had a race to steal each other’s name tag.

By the end of the show, the caption saying, “‘Hyun-jin Ryu to take the mound of Running Man with Suzy,” appeared.

I've been thinking RM PDs need to re-take editing 101 but maybe they also need to think things ahead more because it's becoming a real issue. Take a funny game or mission, let it last for over 20min and it'll just ruin the whole segment.

[NEWS] 131113 Voodoo Doll Appears in Apgujeong… Anticipation for VIXX’s Unique Album Concept ↑

A large voodoo doll appeared in the streets of Apgujeong.

On the 13th, VIXX’s agency uploaded a picture with the title ‘A voodoo doll installed at VIXX’s agency’. In the picture was a large doll with VIXX’s name engraved eerily on it, hanging upside down.

At midnight yesterday, VIXX revealed their ‘cursed doll’ concept character for their first full album through their official home page. This doll will appear in VIXX’s album jacket and of course the music video.

A representative of the agency said, “On stage VIXX has shown vampire concepts, as well as Jekyll and Hyde, and now they’ve raised expectations for their voodoo doll concept. In order to show that significance, we made a ‘voodoo doll’.

Her activities this month consist of promoting her single album in Japanese cities such as Fukuoka and Sapporo. She will come back to Seoul to attend the ‘2013 Melon Music Awards’ on the 14th.

Nude pictures of Ailee were released through Hallyu site Allkpop. Her agency is currently working with a lawyer in America to catch the suspect.

The Let's Dance and comeback bts were uploaded awhile ago but I didn't see them posted in the fiestar tag, so I apologise if they have been posted before.

She has played football at the highest level for her country, and has returned to the top of her game after a career lull, but Park Eun-seon is suffering "humiliating" scrutiny of the most personal kind.

In a controversy that echoes the ordeal of South African runner Caster Semenya, the 27-year-old is facing accusations about her gender.

At 1.80 meters tall and weighing 74 kg, Park was top scorer in the South Korean women's league last season with 19 goals and she led Seoul City Hall Amazones to second place in the table.

However, six rival teams have threatened a boycott if Park, who went to the 2004 Olympics, continues to play.

Singer and pianist Yoonhan graduated in 2006 from Berklee College of Music in Boston (USA) and is signed to Stomp Music.

His albums include instrumental tracks as well as jazzy songs in both Korean and English. A new mini-album "Man on Piano" is set to be released on Thursday. Listen to this post!

Pianist, composer, arranger, and TV host Yoonhan ’06 graciously made time for our interview on a busy day just before he dashed off to the sound check for a concert at a venue miles outside of Seoul.

Yoonhan is a rising star with a multidimensional career. A film scoring major, his training in arranging and orchestration comes in handy when he writes two charts weekly for the 30-piece orchestra on the TV show he hosts. MBC (one of the four major national TV and radio networks in South Korea) airs Beautiful Concert on Sundays, with Han serving as the musical director and pianist as well as the show’s MC. “Playing in front of people is not as hard for me as being an MC,” Yoonhan confesses. “This is the first time I’ve done this. Everything is on a teleprompter, but I memorize my lines so that it won’t look like I’m reading.”

After finishing at Berklee in 2006, Yoonhan returned to Korea, fulfilled his two-year mandatory military service and then launched his career. Representatives from Stomp Music spotted him at a music competition and signed him to a management contract. So far he has released two albums on Stomp’s imprint featuring his original vocal songs in English and Korean as well as his jazzy piano stylings.

Last year, Yoonhan played the role of Ishmael four nights a week in a musical production of Moby Dick (based on Herman Melville’s novel). “It was tough,” he says. “I sang, acted, danced, and played piano.” The show is a new dramatic form in Korea called an actor-musician musical where cast members perform on stage in all four capacities.

Yoonhan is also developing his career as a concert attraction and headlines regularly. Some of his concerts are presented in collaboration with fashion designers. “That’s pretty interesting,” he says. “It’s like a blend of Maroon 5 and Victoria’s Secret.”

Despite having a packed schedule, Yoonhan has carved out time for further education, anticipating that one day he will teach. He is currently finishing Ph.D. studies at Sangmyung University and writing his doctoral thesis on the music of Keith Jarrett.

With talents and opportunities that could take him in different directions, Yoonhan will continue with TV for now. “The show is fun,” he says. “There are so many more artists I want to work with.” He also hopes his concert appearances will take him to audiences in Europe and America.
