Norazo keeping us on our toes

This is both a question and a discussion. I didn't see any article of this, and since Norazo isn't the most popular I'm not sure if there ever will be. I initially saw this image on my facebook feed and immediately thought blackface. The brown paint and the hair screamed it, but the carrot confuses me. I then saw some comments mention they were supposed to be horses, and I would be pretty relieved if that was the case. Kind of a fail horse cosplay, but I'd much rather that be the reason. In any case I feel this could be straightened out if a member could understand this article talking about it. It may even be announcing a new album concept or something. Actually, I looked more and found this quote from their facebook on November 3rd.

"The Norazo concert was fantastic!!! The audience were the first to hear the upcoming new single, 'Wild Horse' !! It is a powerful upbeat song that is sure to make Gangnam Style sound like a horse's fart!! It will be released on November 13th!!!!!

So my questions are:

1. can anyone confirm what the article sourced at the bottom says?
2. Does this horse concept work for you?
3. Are you excited for new Norazo?

As for me I'm excited for new Norazo and a crazy dance. Also I'm curious abou what a musical horse's fart sounds like. I'm not crazy for the promo picture of course, but if the concept comes together, I'll get over it.

but if u only look at the paint, on their faces it looks like a horse! its actually kinda cleverly done. but then horses dont have manes like that hair type (i think :S) so.... ? maybe it might be? :/

Ya know, if you didn't point it out, I wouldn't have seen the horse-like areas: the darker chin, the brighter stripe down the middle of the face.

To me, the 'fro' looks like it's a cartoon-ish exaggeration of the mohawk-ish manes sported by Norwegian Fjord horses (http://www.horsenation.com/2013/03/26/9-stylish-norwegian-fjord-haircuts/) ...in fact I find a lot of cartoon show/noble horses are presented either this way or with banded braids (i.e. Disney's Sleeping Beauty)...

It's hard to tell because of glare, but there's a white strip going down his face. So it's not blackface.

And the hair is probably just the style that his hair actually is right now. He's had weird, poofy hairstyles before like a triangle. And it's not a high top fade because there is no fade.

I kinda see the horse make-up... But I find really shady the afro hair + brown painting. Changing the hairstyles between them would have made it less shady somehow. I'm conflicted, I don't know what to think, but I know I really dislike this confusing part about the concept. Couldn't they realize it might be offensive for a lot of people ??

The article is basically what you surmised; it talks about their new single "Wild Horse", the release of the image teaser where they're supposed to be horses, and how they're teaming up with Noh Hongchul for this comeback.
Looking at it some more, I definitely see the horse makeup/concept. BUT. They could have made it more obvious and gotten a different hairstyle for Jo Bin. I like their music and how they're stupid most of the time, but I think I'm gonna stay away from this concept.

I love Norazo! The guy with the permed black hair, goddamnit I can't remember his name, anyway if you watch old videos of them you'll see that he's had crazy black curly hairstyles before. I think the combo of this hair and the color of the paint is just a coincidence. People need to ctfo tbh.
