SHINee’s Taemin Says He’ll Never Date Publicly

SHINee’s Taemin recently shared with viewers that he has no desire to date publicly just yet.

On November 12, he starred as a guest on KBS’s quiz program “1 vs. 100.” He began by clarifying his standpoint on dating by saying, “If I said I’d never dated before, I’d be lying to you. I’ve even kissed.” To which, MC Han Seok Jun of course had to ask, “When did you have your first relationship and kiss?” Taemin replied, “I had my first relationship in elementary school, and my first kiss in kindergarten.” He continued, “Since I’m at that age where I would probably be wanting to date a girl, there are probably many people who think I would want to date – but actually, I don’t have that desire. Maybe it’s because I’ve been filming ”We Got Married’ and I’ve been able to experience things here and there. If I do begin a romantic relationship, I would want to be able to date comfortably. When I get older, I might want to make my relationship public, but right now I don’t want to.”

This episode airs on November 12 at 8:55pm (KST).

lol taem. i love how shinee started evading the question and teasing fans about it since lucifer era. they're not going to lie, but they're not going to be stupid either. very shocking, for a twenty year old guy to have kissed someone yes.

i would love it if taem and naeun actually started dating. when he was recently asked on radio how much he liked naeun, you could see him rack his brains to figure out the best possible answer that would offend the least amount of people (and then said 100% hee). kwanghee recently said on human condition he did have feelings for sunhwa at the time of filming, and they're pushing the 'real life' bent more seriously this series so more contact off camera. you can see taem's real self between his awkwardly delivered lines and they're just so cute urgh.

he's not going to be able to publicly date for the next year at least if it's not naeun tho, bc backlash will say he was dating within filming like yeon seo.

If he is being honest then I understand 100% where he is coming from. I am 20 haven't dated you could say I am one of the "pure as snow" types and I just don't have the desire to date at the moment. When you have so much other stuff going on that kinda takes a back seat. Of course there is desire but idk dating seems like a lot of work.

Over all good answer whether it is true or not we will never know.

i think that filming we got married must be fun for idols when they enjoy the company of the person they're filming with. they get to go on dates and do things they wouldn't normally do with a bf/gf because of time and bc fans would freak out. with wgm they don't need to worry about hiding anything bc (at least officially) is fake anyway.

i really don't mind him dating though. it's none of my business.

but yes, dating publicly is pretty dangerous, maybe not for him but for the girl. she'll receive so much hate and it might affect their relationship.
