ICON (No Minwoo) releases "Rock Star" video teaser

Former TRAX member and actor No Minwoo will be making a return to the music industry under the stage name ICON. On June 28th, No Minwoo released the first video teaser for his upcoming single album, "Rock Star."

Recorded in black and white, No Minwoo coolly walks up to the camera, a guitar sling across his shoulder. He slowly begins to string a beat on his guitar before playing an upbeat Miyavi-type rhythm.

"Rock Star" was directly produced by No Minwoo, and was able to freely express his fashion, music and design into the single.

No Minwoo will release his new single "Rock Star" on July 1st.

And we are happy to announce that the second winner of the show, BANG YEDAM, has also just completed all negotiations related to signing up with YG. 4minute ‘Is It Poppin’, sweeps #1s on seven charts four hours after release

Girl group 4minute has swept #1s on 7 music charts for their new song ‘Is it Poppin’

Released on the 28th, 4minute’s ‘Is it Poppin’ was crowned first on 7 out of 9 major music charts, which are Mnet, Bugs, Olleh Music, SoriBada and many more. The song also took the top spot – 3rd and 9th on Melon and Cyworld charts respectively.

‘Is It Poppin’ is the latest release followed by ‘What’s Your Name’ that took the chart by storm in May with its long-run records. 4minute and Brave Brothers once again collaborated for this song this time round.

The song portrays a girlfriend’s bittersweet love and jealousy, while expressing her innocent and young heart as she waits for her boyfriend that plays outside to return every night.

The music source which was released today, together with an MV, have gained hot responses from local and foreigner fans. 4minute’s sprinklers and ‘water-splashed dance’ in the MV is expected to bring a cool and refreshing performance on stage soon.

Meanwhile, 4minute will be making their first comeback stage on the coming 30th at SBS ‘Inkigayo’.

10,000 Korean Children Born to Filipina Prostitutes

A campaign to help Korean-Filipinos find the Korean fathers who abandoned them in the Philippines has grabbed headlines and led to condemnation online. Kopinos, the term for Korean-Filipinos whose mothers are often prostitutes and whose father is a visiting Korean, now number 10,000 in the Philippines. Adding to the furor, coverage about Kopinos has revealed how Koreans have become known for pursuing child prostitutes in the Philippines.

Netizens roundly condemned the behavior of men who look for child prostitutes and abandon their children in the Philippines. Castration and public execution were popular answers to the issue.

The Kopino phenomenon bears similarity to the Japino community in the Philippines, as well as Amerasians, the offspring of American soldiers and Korean mothers.

1. Actress A recently decided to part ways with her agency, the reason being because of her ex-boyfriend. Since her debut, A was in a long unofficial relationship with actor B before they broke up.
