Male group MYNAME plans to participate in a film festival with their blockbuster music video, for which they spent a total of 500,000,000 won.
MYNAME revealed this news at 4pm on the 19th, at the press conference held at Paradise Hotel Busan, Haeundae, Busan Kwangyeok, in the midst of filming their 1st mini album’s title song ‘Baby I’m Sorry’ music video.

Nana hospitalized after second check up on her injury

Earlier today, After School's Nana was said to be recuperating after a fall from the stage and that she seemed to have suffered no serious injuries. However, Pledis Entertainment has just revealed that the idol has just recently gone through a second check up after she continued to experience pain.

With the additional check up, it's been found that there is severe shock and contusion to her pelvic region, so Nana has been hospitalized.

K-pop news has been extremely slow recently, as nothing has really caught my eye. Pair that with my busy real life, and there’s a recipe for a lack of posts. On top of that, I haven’t written a critical word about allkpop, Soompi, or any other site for about three months now. My level of fucks given has gone down ten-fold, basically.

So as you can imagine, it must have taken something truly special to motivate me to write today, and it certainly did. A special kind of stupidity.

Short version? Two allkpop executives saw a livestream by a staff member/helper at Netizen Buzz and they both took the time out of their day to maliciously out the person. Why? Because she used to work for allkpop … oh and she defended allkpop in the livestream against the haters. Yup, that’s how you get rewarded.

This position was specifically only for monitoring the comment section and disciplining when rules are broken. We had a good turn out of applications, and we want to thank everyone who applied. We have chosen 5 new mods, but we may go back into the applications to add more in the future if needed.

Summer Mayhem: Recap on upcoming June and July comebacks

This summer is sure to be an intense one. Many artists, more than you can count on your fingers and toes alone, will be returning in the next month and a half with new, exciting and hot singles.

Already, the music industry has been experiencing a large handful of popular artists making a return since May, including Shinhwa, Lee Hyori and 2PM. The competition is expected to heat up this June and coming July.

( It's a nice summary of what comebacks we can look forward to this summer. )

BREAKING NEWS: NANA FELL A METRE BUT SHE'S OKAY (MOSTLY)

It is being reported that After School’s Nana has taken a huge fall, but thankfully, is not seriously injured.

According to Pledis Entertainment, on June 19, Nana lost her footing while coming off stage after recording for MBC Music’s “Show Champion,” and fell from the platform that was around 1.2 meters high. Nana was taken to the hospital right after the accident and received a physical examination, and fortunately, was found to have no serious injuries.

Pledis Entertainment stated, “While Nana’s injuries are light, due to the unexpected accident, she is resting from the shock. For her recovery, all schedules after today’s pre-recording have been canceled, and we will decide future activities depending on her recovery and health.”

When will KANG SEUNG YOON, the ex-Superstar K contestant, be debuting?
Unlike LEE HI, who made a debut immediately after season 1 of the talent show program was finished, KANG SEUNG YOON, who is an ex-contestant of Superstar K, has been preparing hard to become a professional musician for 3 years at YG Entertainment. On the show he aroused much popularity with his song “Instinctively”, which helped him be a cast on a big sitcom. Thanks to all this, many were curious of when his actual debut as a singer would be.

But good news first. KANG SEUNG YOON’s first solo album is a mini album with 6 songs, which is nearing its completion. On July 15, his first song ‘WILD AND YOUNG’ will be unveiled for the first time.

The much-anticipated first song is a fruit reaped by YG’s main producer, Teddy, which strays away from his past production. This song is a strong rock with KANG SEUNG YOON’s husky and powerful voice. His refreshing voice makes the song a perfect one for the blazing summer.

KANG SEUNG YOON has spent yesterday and today working on filming the music video of ‘WILD AND YOUNG’ with director HAN SA MIN, who also directed BIGBANG’s ‘BLUE’ and 2NE1’s ‘LONELY’.

Unfortunately KANG SEUNG YOON’s first song ‘WILD AND YOUNG’ will not be aired on television. Currently we are still deciding on the date of his official album release, and I believe that the date will be confirmed depending on how the other pending issue goes. I will further explain this other matter tomorrow!

Actor Yoon Si Yoon Prefers Uee Over Lee Hyori

On the recent episode of SBS’s “Barefoot Friends,” which was aired on June 16, the members and Lee Hyori went camping to Jiri Mountain.

During the episode when Kim Hyun Joong asked to pick between Uee and Lee Hyori as an ideal type, actor Yoon Shi Yoon chose Uee without hesitation. Kim Hyun Joong stated that Lee Hyori was his type.

Kim Hyun Joong also asked Yoon Shi Yoon about his last relationship. Yoon Shi Yoon asnwered, “It has been well over a year since I had a girlfriend.” When Kim Hyun Joong asked if he still loved his last girlfriend, Yoon Shi Yoon explained, “No. I just hope she is happy.”

Kim Hyun Joong then teased Yoon Shi Yoon as he said, “It’s that female celebrity, right?” Yoon Shi Yoon pleaded jokingly, “I really hope they make sure to put a caption that says that my last girlfriend was not a celebrity.”

After comedian Lim Joon Hyuk criticized MBLAQ for their lack of cooperation, variety show PDs have spoken up for the group.

The PD of KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Song' said, "I can't believe the rumors that they don't work hard. If you ask other variety show PDs, they'll say the same thing. No one works as hard as MBLAQ. Also, it's the comedian that's at the center of a comedy program. Even if the guests are a little lacking, it's their job to fill in that space. I can't understand why he had to say it over SNS, instead of just saying it on-site."

tvN's 'SNL Korea' said the same thing. 'SNL Korea' said, "It's the first time we heard that someone say that MBLAQ doesn't work hard on variety shows. They worked harder than even the hosts when they were the featured guests on SNL. Lee Joon especially, he came right after recording 'M! Countdown' early in the morning on the 15th, waited 2 hours for Miranda Kerr, and went to act on the solid ground."

Q:Your first World Tour is almost at an end and it’s hot! Although you still have some shows left, how do you feel to successfully end your tour?
My first world tour was last year's BIG BANG world tour. And I was still half worried and half excited to visit new places for my concert but it was really fun touring around. Personally I never have time to travel but as I was on this tour, I could rest during break times and hang out with staff. I’m glad I could make many memories. For me it was like a school field trip. I was also glad that I got love everywhere I went.

U-Kiss Latin America Tour

U-KISS embark on their 3-country tour in Mexico, Peru, and Colombia

U-KISS have departed Korea on June 19 to embark on their first ever 3-country South American tour!

The boys will kick off the tour in Peru on the 21st. They will then perform in Colombia on the 23rd, and then wrap up the tour on the 28th in Mexico, which is technically a country in North America. Back in May 2012, the boys were in Colombia to attend the biggest South American musical festival, 'EVENTO 40'. Their presence was so well received, it even resulted in the creation of an official South American fanclub!

NH Media said, "We decided to go on a 3-country South American tour to give back to the fans in Peru, Colombia, and Mexico. Since we can't visit then often, we want to spend a meaningful time with the South American fans."

U-KISS will be singing both their Korean and Japanese songs, and they've also prepared a surprise gift for the fans!
