'Team LoKo' has won the England division of the '2013 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival'!
The England division of the '2013 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival' was held on the 8th. The festival is for K-pop lovers to compete on how well they can follow their favorite celebrities' dances, and is aimed at spreading the Hallyu culture.
The members were so shocked about their win that they were only able to stand in awe for a while. Twenty fans were chosen by JYP Audition, and 'Team LoKo' made up of 6 girls from ages 17-27 won the England division, earning them a ticket to Korea for the finals!
The leader of the team said, "We just made our team to teach English K-Pop fans how to dance K-pop, and we're so surprised that this happened. We're so shocked because we couldn't even imagine winning."

Hyoyeon and Yuri will soon appear on “Dancing 9″, Mnet’s newest global dance survival show. The two Girls’ Generation members will coach the show’s contestants as “K-pop dance masters” alongside other notable stars including Shinhwa’s Lee Minwoo, Lee Yongwoo, Park Jiwoo, Park Jieun, Woo Hyunyoung, Ducky (Kim Dukhyun), and Poppin J (Lee Jaehyung).
Regarding the show, Hyoyeon and Yuri revealed, “We saw, in person, people all over the world be enthusiastic over just a dance while performing in various countries in Asia and Europe. We keenly felt just how powerful the ripple effect of dance is. We want to share the fashion, trend, stage performance, team work, and other things we’ve gained through group activities, as well as various experiences and know-hows to ‘Dancing 9′ contestants. For contestants who are trying to become stars with dancing, we will try our best to give them the most practical help.”
Girls’ Generation previously recorded a promotional video clip for Mnet’s “Dancing 9″ application process, which can be seen below. The first episode of “Dancing 9″ airs July 20th at 11:00 PM KST. For more information, visit the show’s official website.

The College Board, the company which provides the university entrance examination for universities in the United States, took the unprecedented step of canceling testing for South Korean students for the second month in a row due to people leaking test content ahead of time.
Starting in the last week of May, certain students began to receive emails stating that due to the leaking of test material, they were not able to sit for the June Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The College Board sent a similar email canceling test dates in May. Since the leak first came to light in April, the Seoul Department of Education has been investigating a number of hagwons for leaking the material to their students.
The reaction online has been almost universal disgust for the hagwon system that obtained the test material ahead of time and the fixation on test preparation in Korean society.
