pretty boring filler episode but i really, really want ji hyo's cap!! anyway, has anyone seen the preview for episode 150? the avengers special. disappointed because a)no chanana (or taec too i guess) at all during the preview = his guest spot is probably really short and b)looked like FD dong wan was in blackface? frowns all around

Not wanting to start a fight here, I'm honestly curious how Dong Wan cosplaying Nick Fury is considered Blackface? To me it seems something completely different than this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackface
I'm not saying Blackface didn't happen in korean variety shows, I know they did - but does that Cosplay really count as Blackface? =/
And I hope this question is allowed, considering the preview is included in this episode...?=)

The short answer, yes it is blackface and yes it is offensive. Intent doesn't matter. And the other characters in Avengers aren't Asians but white yet they did not feel the need to do something about that. They didn't give them wigs or anything yet we still knew who they were supposed to be. Blackface wasn't necessary for us to understand it was Nick Furry.

I see, thanks very much! You're right - I was actually wondering why they didn't give Kim Jong Kook a blonde wig aswell for example...not cool. :(
