Korean musicians must export or starve

PSY (pictured, also known as Park Jae-sang) is having the time of his life. On August 12th at a stadium in Seoul, the rap star’s concert felt like the only party in town. He entertained 30,000 fans for almost four hours. And this veteran of the South Korean charts has suddenly become popular in the West, since the video for his song “Gangnam Style”, in which he rides an imaginary horse around a posh part of Seoul, went viral on YouTube. The track even hit number one on the iTunes dance chart in Finland.

Korean pop (known as K-pop to fans) is turning into an export success. Groups such as Super Junior and 2NE1 now sell millions of CDs and concert tickets in other parts of Asia. As K-pop zooms up the foreign charts, share prices of leading labels, such as SM Entertainment, have soared too.

Choeun Ent reveals teasers for new dance group 24K

Indie record label Choeun Entertainment is set to debut a new dance focused group named 24K. Just moment ago, the very first teaser for this group was revealed through YouTube. Along with the link to the video, Choeun Entertainment’s official Twitter page tweeted, “You guys aren’t sleeping at an important time like this, are you?? 24K’s first teaser has been released via our official YouTube channel!!”

Not much is known about this group but their official facebook page states that the group is made up of 6 members: Cory, Seok-June, Byung-Ho, Sung-Oh, Ki-su, and Dae-Il.

The teaser features one of the members dancing over a wet floor in a cool lighted mask. A pretty unique way to introduce themselves.

Talented idol group B.A.P‘s lively photo shoot with ‘Elle Girl‘ magazine has been revealed.

The September issue of ‘Elle Girl’ features B.A.P in a unique shoot that shows the members’ cheerful boyish sides with plenty of action shots of them playing tennis or running with a suitcase.

Daesung and Seungri's passports and other belongings stolen

One of the worst things that could possibly happen while traveling abroad is to get your passports stolen, and unfortunately for Big Bang, that is exactly what happened.

According to several Japanese news media on August 15, thieves broke into Big Bang’s car in Tokyo and took Daesung and Seungri′s bags, which had their personal items as well as their passports inside.

The report then went onto say that the theft was discovered when managers returned to the car five hours after leaving the car only to find the windows broken.

Police are currently investigating the theft as it could lead to the personal information of the Big Bang members to be exposed to the public.
