Only One + Talk + The Shadow + Medley (Girls on Top/My Name/NO.1)

On August 17th, BoA guested on KBS's ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook' in promotion of her comeback album, ‘Only One'.

The Hallyu star opened up the stage with a live performance of her title track. She also conducted a short interview reflecting back on her 12 year career and a look into what she has in store for her future.

Despite being a veteran to the stage, BoA began by expressing, “I always feel nervous when I’m standing on the ‘Sketchbook’ stage.”

When asked how she felt on reaching her 12 year milestone, she humbly stated, “I'll always consider myself an idol. I never imagined that I’d be promoting as a singer for this long, though.”

MC Yoo Hee Yeol then suggested that she choose key words to describe every decade of her life, and BoA chose ‘advance forward’ for her teens, ‘drive straight’ for her 20′s, ‘temporary stop’ for her 30′s, and ‘parking’ for her 40′s.

When asked why she hasn’t been promoting in Japan lately, she replied with a laugh, “I was too busy being a judge.”

December marks my 10 year anniversary of loving BoA.

All it took was watching her in the Everyheart video, and it was like 'you... are everything I need in a pop star.'

It actually wasn't in person-just the live perf of Amazing Kiss during the time it came out. I, like you, STILL haven't been able to see BoA, being stuck in the UK. But as I'm moving to Korea next year, it will happen then.

Oh my god, the way she broke it down at the end of Only One was soooo beautiful.

It annoys me, greatly, that Only One has yet to win ANY awards on the weekly shows. Like, what the hell? This is BoA! In my estimation, it's BoA at her best, because nothing can beat that piano.

She won on that worthless Show Champion thing on MBC. Anyway, I guess it fits with her transitioning away from idol status. PSY has the biggest hit of the year by far but only picked up a win here and there. "Only One" is a much bigger hit (going by streaming, download, etc) than say, BEAST's "Beautiful Night", who've won triple crowns this round, but her fans are nwo more mainstream/mature than the bulk-voting stans.

Just finished watching the whole thing. That medley gives me LIFE. Ugh, what I wouldn't give for her to do a medley at an SM concert in the US. My Name will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the FIRST song I ever heard BoA sing in person. Just thinking about that day at the Staples Center, with me waving around my yellow balloon like a maniac, making sounds no human should be able to make, brings tears to my eyes.

Her songs sound sooooo good with a live band. I wish they did that more, but I'm glad to see that they're starting to pick up on it a bit more, at least for her.

Not sure how I feel about the Mickey Mouse jacket, though. At least I think it's a Mickey Mouse jacket. BoA, you should support Donald. He is better.

This was all too much for me, I've seen her medley before but hearing it again ESP GOT gave me the chills all the way down to No1 (even though I still sing the Japanese version over it). Ah BoA so good to have you here still.
