JYJ’s Junsu releases album jacket cover and tracklist for ‘UNCOMMITTED’

Earlier this week, JYJ‘s Junsu announced that he would be releasing a new English single titled ‘UNCOMMITTED‘ in lieu of a repackaged album for his first solo album.

On August 9th, C-JeS Entertainment updated their official website with a new album jacket cover for the single along with the official tracklist. The single will include a 32 page booklet of picorial photos and lyrics of the songs. As previously revealed, the single is the work of Sony Music composer Bruce Automatic Vanderveer and also includes an English version of his previous title track, “Tarantallegra“.

Phantom to show their “discordant harmony” through their first mini album, ‘Phantom City’

Rookie vocal trio, Phantom, is set to release their first mini album, ‘Phantom City‘ on August 16th.

Phantom is not your typical boy band, as the group explores an eclectic array of music genres as well as backgrounds. Phantom’s Kiggen (33) was born in Japan and previously worked as a composer. Member Sanchez (26) spent his school years in New Zealand, while the group’s maknae Hanhae (22) is from Busan.

JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong: “To Eat or Not To Eat”

JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong is deep in thought in front of cup noodles.

On August 9, he posted a tweet, “To eat or not to eat,” “Which one to eat” along with two pictures of himself.

In the released pictures, Jae Joong crouches in an adorable position in front of two nicely aligned cups of noodles. His hands embrace his face as he worries over the question whether to eat them or not. The picture on the right shows a more complicated situation of one too many options. He still does not fail to keep it stylish, as he dons a beanie and sunglasses.

Netizens who have seen these pictures responded, “I wonder which one he ended up eating,” “Worrying himself sick,” “It’s so cute of him crouching down like a kid,” “I bet he ate them both.”

Meanwhile, Jae Joong was recently cast as Kim Kyung Tak in “Dr. Jin.” The drama is scheduled to complete its run on August 11.

Skarf reveals individual video teasers

After revealing their MV teaser yesterday, Korean-Singaporean girl group Skarf has revealed individual video teasers to introduce each of their members.

As mentioned earlier, their name indicates the collaboration between Korea and Singapore using ‘scarf’, a popular fashion item, as its base. The S stands for Singapore while the c was switched out with the K for Korea. The group is made up of four members from Korea and Singaporean members.

Skarf will be making their debut with a showcase on the 14th.

G-Dragon Postpones New Album Release Date

G-Dragon’s new solo album will have to delay its release date due to the new video rating law implemented by the Korea Media Rating Board (KMRB).

According to a report by Star News, G-Dragon and YG Entertainment just recently found out that the new video rating law initiated by KMRB gets enforced on August 18, the initial set date for G-Dragon’s new solo album, which is also his birthday. Because of this new law, all videos expected to get released and uploaded online after August 18 are required to get a classified ranking by the KPRB prior to its release.

B1A4′s ‘Hello Baby’ rakes in teenage viewers

B1A4‘s ‘Hello Baby‘ has succeeded in capturing the hearts of teenage girls.

According to the report released by AGB Nielson Media Research, ‘B1A4′s Hello Baby’ recorded 1.503% in viewer ratings with females in their teens.

Considering the fact that any cable show is considered a success if their ratings reach 1%, the show is off to a great start.

Following the success of previous seasons, season 6 with B1A4 and the group’s unique brand of energy and enthusiasm has increased viewer ratings.

Fans have also been very excited about the show. They commented, “B1A4′s charms are finally being shown“, “Everything the babies do is so lovely“, “Love the small missions“, and “When the first-time daddies panic, it’s the funniest“.

You can catch all the cute and funny scenes on KBS Joy on Wednesday nights at 12:20 am KST.

SM Entertainment and JYJ to have another trial in September

SM Entertainment and JYJ have failed to reach an agreement on the issues surrounding the members’ TVXQ contract.

The trial between SM Entertainment and the members of JYJ took place on August 10 at 4PM KST in Seoul Central District Court. SM Entertainment’s representative Kim Young Min, along with lawyers from both sides, were present to debate the issue. The members of JYJ were not present for this trial.

Ever since JYJ‘s big sasaeng scandal in March of this year, most of the dialogue about unacceptable fan behavior towards idols have been focused on sasaengs. Stars like Jang Geun Suk, who is usually known for being very gracious toward his fans, have come out saying that they don’t consider sasaengs to be fans at all, and that their behavior is unacceptable. Before closing his Twitter account, Heechul of Super Junior told sasaeng fans to back off and stop following him around (blaming himself for not being understanding enough). Leeteuk, also of Super Junior, recently lamented that sasaengs had already gotten a hold of his brand-new phone number and were invading his privacy.

Sasaengs make an easy scapegoat. We complain about them, shame their behavior, and hold them up as examples of everything that’s wrong with the fandom. Unfortunately, this can prevent us from looking at other, less obvious things that even well-meaning fans do.

G.NA's weight becomes a hot topic

It was recently revealed that G.NA, who’s been known for her amazing figure since her debut, is seriously underweight.

On the August 8th episode of KBS2‘s ‘Vitamin‘, stars known for their fit bodies underwent tests to figure out the age of their bodies. During G.NA’s examination, a medical specialist diagnosed, “[G.NA] has low blood sugar levels and is severely underweight. She needs to increase her weight by 10.5 kg (23.1 lbs) at the very least.” In addition, it was revealed that the singer’s “body age” was 28 years old, a whole 4 years older than her actual age of 24. The expert recommended, “You need to stop skipping meals in order to avoid Hypoglycemia.”

After hearing the diagnosis, G.NA revealed, “I have a habit of eating fried food, gummy candies, bread or other junk food instead of eating substantial meals. Because I’ve been trying to cut out those bad foods, I end up hardly eating anything at all.”

Fans will probably agree that G.NA never needed to lose weight in the first place.

Open World Entertainment CEO sentenced to 6 years in prison

The CEO of Open World Entertainment, who was charged earlier this year for sexually assaulting his female trainees, has been sentenced to six years in prison.

On August 10 KST, Judge Yoo Won Jae of the Seoul Central District Court officially sentenced 51-year-old Mr. Jang to 6 years in jail as well as 40 hours in a sexual assault treatment program. His file will also be available to the public for 5 years.

Prosecutors previously requested a sentence of 9 years on July 29 despite a petition filed by Jang for favorable treatment on July 12 and a written letter of apology he sent in on July 18. He applied for bail, submitting withdrawals from three out of four victims who filed complaints, agreements, and parental consent forms, but it was denied. Mr. Jang also received a court warning for making threatening phone calls to ‘female A’, who agreed to go through with the trial.

Jang was taken under custody this past April for sexually assaulting female trainees in his own agency from November 2010 to March 2012.

1) There was no bullying, really. Just Isolation. Which is still mean-spirited. But oh well. They tried to get along, it didn’t work. Look, you have to think about it this way. Here are 6 people who have worked really hard to get to the level of fame they achieved by the time Hwayoung joined the group. They had already experienced member shakeup from the first lineup of T-ara and they were finally comfortable with the 6 member group chemistry they had. Then KKS throws in this new girl — a rapper whos taking lines away from two people who already rap — & then on top of that this same new member needs a lot of training because she’s definitely not on the same level as the original 6 & she misses her twin like terribly & complains about not being put in the same group as her twin. Of course people aren’t going to be happy! So what do most catty young women do? They get bitchy & ignore the girl.
