6-member idol group, VIXX's popularity is unusual.

The comapany behind artists like Son Shigyon, Paku Hyoshin, I Sokufun, So Inguku, etc., Jellyfish Entertainment has assembled VIXX as their first attempt at an idol group. On the 24th, the band debuted on Mnet's "M Countdown" and without the sense of a newcomer at all, the boys showed flawless charisma on stage, and are basking in attention, with explosive interest growing around them.

In addition, their YouTube hits have been rising rapidly. Videos such as member history and their transformation into VIXX as well as the PV for their first single, "Super Hero" are all included.

B1A4's Japanese TV debut performance confirmed

The latest K-POP artist to come to Japan is the hotly anticipated newcomer group, B1A4. Their first single, "Beautiful Target" will be released in Japan on June 26 and is being eagerly awaited for. They have decided to make their first appearance in Japan on NHK's "MUSIC JAPAN." It will be airing on June 15 at 1:30am. With their cute looks, cut-above singing abilities, charming and excellent performances, musicianship through their self-written and composed songs, and incredibly high potential, their performance is not to be missed!

Since opening "Official Fanclub 'BANA JAPAN'" they have gained nearly 8,000 members across Japan and every performance has been a massive success. And after announcing their Japanese debut in front of their fans, leader Jinyoung said "We will get the #1 on Oricon," and Baro declared, "I want to perform a solo concert at [Tokyo] Budokan!" to the cheers of fans. This year they will be creating a whirlwind throughout the country.

The boys have rerecorded their song, "Beautiful Target" in Japanese, which was originally released last year in Korea. The coupling song will be the same song released in Korea, "Chu Chu Chu" as well as the Jinyoung-composed and written "Bling Girl" (only available on the limited B-version of the single) in Japanese. An original Japanese song, "Ready to go" (only available on the regular edition) has also been included. They haven't just challenged recording in Japanese, but also creating the rap, etc. Three versions will be available for purchase (Limited editions A and B and a regular edition). To commemorate their debut single's release, they will be holding concerts over two days (6/30 and 7/1).

IU reveals her true height and weight on ‘Strong Heart’

We recently reported that IU would reveal her true height and weight, and the nation’s little sister did exactly that.

On the May 29th episode of SBS ‘Strong Heart‘, IU was determined to set a few rumors straight.

“My bones are thin, so they can appear thin even when I have some meat on my bones,” she said. “I lost a lot of weight suddenly, and so people have been saying that I look like I am starved, and that I look like an elementary school student.”

“I want to reveal my true height and weight right here,” she added.

Big Bang to focus on world tour, no promotional activities for 'Still Alive'

YG Entertainment has revealed it will not hold promotional activities for Big Bang’s much-anticipated special re-release album Still Alive. The special edition album is scheduled to drop on June 3 with five additional songs in addition to the songs from the mini album Alive. However, a source close to YG Entertainment revealed the group has decided to not hold any performances for the new album, including music shows, and focus on its ongoing world tour 2012 Big Bang Alive Tour instead.

Pictures of G-Dragon’s “folder” bow were recently uploaded to  an online blog.

In the collected images that were posted, G-Dragon is seen bowing at 90 degrees – like a folder being folded.  Compared to the other members’ bows, G-Dragon’s bow stands out because of his perfect 90 degree stance.

In the collage of photos, G-Dragon is seen doing the same “folder” bow at TV appearances, to his sunbaes (seniors), to the audience and even to his hoobaes (juniors).  Many commented that his bow shows his great etiquette.

Girls’ Generation’s next JP single, “Paparazzi”, to be released in June

Nichkhun covered Bruno Mars‘ hit song, “Just The Way You Are“.

Displaying his piano-playing talent and singing the sweet lyrics in fluent English, Nichkhun effectively captured the hearts of the audience members who responded to his performance with explosive cheers.

Actress Shin Sekyung to Release Digital Single

Actress Shin Se Kyung (22) will be revealing her hidden singing talent.

An insider from the K-Pop industry informed SportsSeoul on May 29th, “A song personally sang by Shin Se Kyung is scheduled to be released in the near future,” delivering the news of her debut as a singer.

Shin Se Kyung has reportedly completed recording her digital single, and her new song is scheduled to be released through various online music sites sometime next month.

According to the insider, Shin Se Kyung has always had much interest in music and has waited for an opportunity to participate in an album. Ahead of this, the actress also drew interest for singing one of the soundtracks to her movie, ‘Blue Salt‘. Shin Se Kyung will be showcasing a new side of herself with this new bubbly dance track, produced by Free Style.

Though the actress will be making her debut as an artist, it will be hard for fans to see her perform on stage. She will not be partaking in separate promotions as an artist, and the public will only be able to hear her singing voice through her albums.

Meanwhile, Shin Se Kyung has recently wrapped up her drama SBS ‘Fashion King‘ with fellow co-stars Yoo Ah In, Lee Jae Hoon, and Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri.

T-ara's 9th member Dani to join in December

T-ara's member Dani has been officially revealed.

T-ara's ninth member Dani is 14 years old and has been growing up in the United States since she was four. She is 167cm and slender and looks like an Eastern version of Girls' Generation's Yuri.

Despite her charms of looking like a young girl, she has a strong charisma and a variety of skills that are attractive.

When T-ara's new album is released on July 7th, T-ara will be joined by an 8th member first for their schedules. In December, Dani, the 9th member, will join. Before then, she will meet fans by acting in T-ara's new song's music video.

Dani will join T-ara in December. The reason she is not joining her older sisters is because she wants to practice more to make sure she's perfected all around before debuting.

T-ara's 8th member has not been revealed yet, but she is known to be a 19-year old girl with both the looks and skills and boasts a height of 168cm. T-ara's 8th member will be revealed at a alter date.

T-ara are working with popular choreography Jonte Moaning who has choreographed for world stars like Beyonce in the past. He introduced T-ara's new album comeback through a teaser trailer online.

Meanwhile, T-ara are preparing for a Thailand concert and Japanese tour in June and their fanclub inauguration on July 14th.

An adaptation of the popular French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, Snow Piercer boasts an impressive international cast - Song Kang-ho, Ewan Bremner, John Hurt, Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell and more - and the presence of Oldboy director Park Chan-wook as a producer.

Principal photography began last week in the Czech Republic and will continue until we're all frozen under a thick layer of ice.
