Jay Park confirms he’s working on a new track with Dynamic Duo

It looks like Jay Park‘s new album is going to be fire, as he’s just confirmed a collaboration with hip hop heavyweights, Dynamic Duo!

On January 16th, Jay Park caused considerable buzz after he tweeted, “It’s official y’all !!! Jay Park Dynamic Duo COLLABO COMING SOON!! OOOWEE!!!!”

Prior to that, fans got to see a Twitter exchange between Jay and Dynamic Duo’s Choiza. Choiza nudged Jay Park with a message that read, ”Jay, finished recording!!!“, to which Jay Park responded with, “YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! Thank you very much!!!”

The news comes right on the heels of our earlier post, which revealed that Jay Park had teamed up with singer Brian Joo and Korean-American rapper Dumbfoundead for a new track.

Nine Muses slightly sticks it to "The Man"

Nine Muses‘ choreography for their new song “News” has been heavily criticized for being too provocative.

The girls returned on Mnet M! Countdown and debuted their new song on January 12th. They had strong stage presence as they put on a successful comeback performance, showcasing the sexy waves and fierce hip movements that are the highlights of the entire dance.

But after the program aired, the public felt that the dance was highly inappropriate. Especially towards the beginning, where the male dancers caress the girls’ legs.

Nine Muses’ agency remarked that the girls would have to promote the song once the dance was modified and more fit to air on television.

However, they’ve followed up on their initial comment saying, “Because we have already modified a portion of the dance, there will be no need to change the choreography any further. However, the girls will be putting on slightly different performances for each stage they stand on.”

The girls will continue to promote their new song “News”, which incorporates strong beats of both rock and pop.

Brian Joo Announces New EP, Shares MV Set Picture and New Hair

It has been a pretty busy day for Brian Joo with a long list of announcements.

Earlier he shared a picture with the director of his new MV while they were filming it. On the picture Brian has a new hair style.

Also he announced through his official Facebook page that he is set to release his new EP "ReBorn Part 1".
The new production will be available through iTunes and Korean music sites on January 26th.

Miryo to release her 1st Solo album on February 1

Brown Eyed Girls' Miryo will release her first solo album on February 1. Her agency revealed pictures of her working at the studio. The producer of Miryo’s solo album Lance stated, “We will show you an album that will feature Miryo’s unique charms unseen on the Brown Eyed Girls. Also, the album will be comparable to albums from veteran singers in terms of quality.”

The producer also stated, “Miryo has taken part in producing, and writing the lyrics on the album. Through writing rap she also told her own story. The photoshoot for the jacket and also the filming for the MV have finished. Currently we are focusing on finishing the album.”

Miryo’s first solo album will begin pre-sales beginning form January 19.

MBLAQ’s Mir is frustrated with Go Eun Ah for being an overly protective sister

Actress Go Eun Ah was on set to film the next episode of SBS ‘Strong Heart‘ with her brother, MBLAQ member Mir.

The two showcased an extremely close brother-sister relationship on set, but Mir seemed to have a problem with his sister being too overly protective.

Mir remarked, “I feel like my sister always has me in the palm of her hand. Where ever I go, I feel like she’s keeping close watch.” Go Eun Ah who was a bit taken back by his remark came to her own defense saying, “It’s because I care about my little brother so much. I am constantly worried about his well being.”

Then she added, “I’m worried about him meeting girls, and I always look up girls that I think he may be interested in.”

Mir hilariously continued to express his frustration over his sister who is overly involved in his life.

Pledis Entertainment unveils teaser photo of NU'EST + more details

Pledis Entertainment, who are set to debut their new boy group this year, has unveiled more details of the members along with a teaser photo. On the 17th of January, Pledis Entertainment revealed that the new group will be named NU'EST.

Pledis Entertainment's new boy group has been named NU'EST, with NU representing the word "new". While the rest of the letters stands for "Establish", "Style" and "Tempo." It was further confirmed that the group will have five members and will have an urban electro sound. A teaser photo featuring all five members with their backs turned was also included in the announcement.

Meanwhile, with regards to debuting the group with other new artists this year, Pledis Entertainment also stated that, "We are not worried about NU'EST being the latest boy band to be revealed amongst the number of artists such as EXO and B.A.P. that will make their debut early this year because our boys are very talented and look great too."

No other information as to when the group will make their debut and members' details have been released.

4minute's comeback pushed back to February to slay your favorites as one of the top girl groups

It was announced in December that 4minute would be returning to the Korean music scene in January. However, it was recently revealed that 4minute's comeback has been pushed back and they are scheduled to return in February.

According to an official at Cube Entertainment, 4minute will be returning mid-February and they are currently working hard to prepare for their comeback.

Last year, 4minute returned with a strong charismatic title song, "Mirror Mirror," and established their place as one of the top girl groups. Since then, the members of 4minute have been busy with solo activities.

Hyuna promoted her track "Bubble Pop!" and participated in Cube Entertainment's first unit-group, Trouble Maker. Jiyoon showed off her powerful vocals in KBS's "Immortal Song 2," while Jihyun began her acting career in the MBC

Bora commented, “The members walk around the dorm without any clothes on. Sometimes, we just come out nude from the showers. [OMGGGGGGGGGGG :Q_____]  No males [NOOOO!!!! Titled “The Ultimate Korean Beauty,” the photos illustrated two faces that were considered the most beautiful in the Korean entertainment industry. An enthusiastic fan cleverly overlapped the images of the top Korean actresses to create a representative photo of the prettiest Korean actress. The fan then created another for idols.

For the actress category, Kim Tae Hee, Han Ga In, Lee Young Ae, Song Hye Kyo, Son Hye Jin, Lee Min Jung, and others’ faces were layered; while SNSD’s YoonA, Wonder Girls’ Sohee, f(x)’s Sulli, 2NE1’s Sandara, miss A’s Suzy, KARA’s Goo Hara, and others were overlapped for the idol category.

[NEWS] MBLAQ Lee Joon Surprises, “I Received Adult Goods from Japanese Fan”



The group MBLAQ mentioned about the most shocking gift received by a fan.

On January 15th, it was revealed in the broadcast of cable channel MNet Musician Interview Program, “MIC”, when MBLAQ appeared in the episode for the 4th mini album comeback “100% Ver” and talked about overseas performances.

MBLAQ, a male-group that represent K-Pop across Asia and Europe, wrote a new history. They are the first Asian singer who rose to #1 place on Oricon Chart for three days consecutively in the first week, and ranked#1 for more than 100 days in Bulgarian music chart.

The member who is popular across countries, G.O, tells, “Lee Joon is very popular in Japan, Mir who looks like the soccer player Ronaldinho is the reason (to be popular) in Brazil, Seungho and Cheondung are popular in Taiwan and Thailand because of their white skin, and I am popular all over the world,” with comic-a-like description.

To the following question asking the most memorable gift they have received, Lee Joon said that he received adult goods from Japanese fans. It was something soft. All of the members really don’t know what it is. They rotated, touched, and even put it in all the members mouth.

“I saw the blood. The eggs seem to be normal. Touching and putting it in my mouth, I had found out (it is an) adults’ stuff,” Mir shyly burst out laughing.

K-Pop's power couple makes a rare appearance

Tonight saw SM Entertainment's founder and chairman Lee Soo Man stepping out of his harem for some quality entertainment. Arm in arm with SHINee's Taemin, he walked the red carpet at the premiere of director Han Ji-Sung's latest movie, Papa. Set largely in America, the light-hearted movie is familiar territory for the entertainment mogul: the story revolves around a talent manager, Choon Sub (Park Yong-Woo), who finds one of his six children from an unwitting contract marriage is a girl with a golden voice. Choon Sub sets out to make his new daughter a reality star and successful singer. Playing his daughter, Joon, is SM Entertainment's own Go Ara. 

Lee Soo Man's fondness for Taemin was evident in the aftermath of the latter's successful cloning, all of whom are expected to debut within the next month. The industry leader couldn't keep his hands off his golden girl and paparazzi pictures reveal the happy couple looking dapper while posing with the cast of the film.

3 Korean rock bands to attend "Canadian Music Fest" in March

The Canadian Music Fest added another few artists to their growing line-up and this time they featured no less than three different Korean rock bands.

Post-modern rock band 3rd Line Butterfly is known for having smokey vocals and a moody sound, while Crying Nut has been hailed as the pioneers of Korea's punk rock scene. Together with them, punk rockers Yellow Monsters will also take the stage. This super group features members of wellknown rock bands Delispice, GumX and My Aunt Mary.

People in Toronto will have the chance to catch these artists anytime between March 21st and 25th. Further time schedules are set to be revealed closer to the festival.
