Jang Geun Suk has graced the front cover of the weekly Japanese magazine, ‘Anan‘. The issue was released on March 23rd and sold out all 280,000 copies!
‘Anan’ is a famous Japanese magazine that’s popular with women in their 20s to 30s. It’s known for having only the top Japanese stars on its cover – to see Jang Geun Suk being picked demonstrates his popularity amongst Japanese women.
Even the staff members were affected by the star, as it’s being reported that they were eagerly anticipating his arrival. They’re said to be big fans of his drama, “You’re Beautiful“, and were captivated by the actor’s professionalism and sense of style.
Jang Geun Suk stated, “I was quite surprised when I was picked to be on the main cover of ‘Anan’. I filmed happily and the atmosphere on setwas great. When I heard about the number of sales for the magazine, I was very surprised since ‘Anan’ is a weekly magazine. I’m always thankful that people are interested in me and give me lots of love.”
The actor is currently preparing for his Asian tour, which is to be held in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Shanghai, Thailand and Malaysia next month.

Earlier this month, Jun Hye Bin showed off the results of her diet, but apparently she’s not quite done.
On March 31st, Jun Hye Bin tweeted,
“Commemorative photo of my 30th day dieting! Now only 2 weeks remain until I’m done. This picture is from 2 weeks ago. I’ll reveal a current picture later!“
In the picture, Jun Hye Bin is seen showing off her tight abs and tiny waist. Although it’s a photo casually taken at her home, it was almost as if it was photoshopped.
Those who have seen the photo commented, “Is this a pictorial?” “How much weight have you lost now?” and “You’re too thin!”
We’d have to agree with the last comment. If this photo was taken two weeks ago, and if she is continues with her diet for two more weeks, how much thinner will this star become?

While guesting on MBC’s “Bright Night of Memories“, T-ara’s Hyomin explained that she was a hardcore fan of g.o.d’s. In fact, she was such a huge fan that her parents had to intervene.
During her school days, Hyomin and her friends would get together to compare photos of their favorite idol group. As a rare fan of lead vocalist Kim Tae Woo, she pulled out a new postcard of his face. To her horror, however, she and her friends discovered that there was a very noticeable pimple in the photograph.
She stated, “Right after school, I got home and gathered all my dyes and pigments to fix the photo, but when my parents saw that I was playing around those things instead of doing my homework, they took away all my g.o.d-related stuff. In the end, I had to stop being a g.o.d. fan.”

It was so out of the place that we immediately wanted to have a shoot there and luckily we got to reach Chris around that time. The place turned out to be all good for our new episode; the piano was a little out of tune but Chris was okay with it and the owner of the bar was happy with us doing a shoot there. We met the band and people from Leaplay Music at around noon at the back entrance of Bomun Market, then we went in through the tarp doors the tavern Bomundong Ilbeonji. The musicians seemed to enjoy the charm of a shabby street market. While Chris was checking the piano, Lucas put his cello on the cement floor. The sound and video were also being checked out while Ben, the drummer, Leaplay Music crew, and the rest of us were standing by the doors under the occasional sunlight, watching and smoking.

Idol group B2ST, singer IU, and duo group December will participate in a charity concert to help teenagers without parents and are the head of their households.
The concert, titled “Super Triple Concert“, will be held on April 30th at the Busan BEXCO exhibition hall. Much anticipation is already being gathered for this event particularly because of the three artists. B2ST – who has been receiving huge popularity in Korea and Japan, IU – currently at the center of the ‘IU syndrome’, and December – known for their sweet voices and harmony.
B2ST, IU, and December are not acknowledged just for their popularity but also for their vocal talents. The coming together of these undisputed Korean superstars in 2011’s first concert to help teenage breadwinners carries a significant meaning.

On this week’s episode of Mnet’s “Wide Entertainment News,” the members of MBLAQ were asked a unique question on the topic of qualities idols should and should not possess.
All of the members unanimously agreed that all idols should have singing talent, but excluding Lee Joon, the members chose ‘bodily fluids’ as a quality idols should not show.

After the recent release of 4minute's "Heart to Heart," 4minute, who are gaining tremendous popularity, will drop their first full-length album on April 5th while simultaneously promoting two lead singles!
On the first, a representative from Cube Entertainment said, "We have kept hidden the other lead track, "Mirror, Mirror" and will be releasing a full-length album on the 5th."
4minute released "Heart to Heart" on the 29th, the first song of five as part of a digital release. Ten tracks will be featured on the new album.
4minute has tested a music metamorphosis with "Heart to Heart," which features a more casual melody. However, the upcoming lead single, "Mirror, Mirror" will show 4minute's upgraded overflowing charisma and showcase an upgraded, strong and unique feeling throughout.

Singer Kim Won Joon (38) and actress Park So Hyun (40) have been announced as the final third couple for MBC’s “We Got Married“!
According to info released by industry representatives on April 1st, Kim Won Joon and Park So Hyun completed their first recording at a location in Seoul on March 31st. The two reportedly enjoyed an exciting first date together, and the chemistry between them was bright and friendly.
A representative of “We Got Married” stated, “We’ve mostly had idol couples, so we decided to go with a different route by showcasing the love story of an older and more experienced couple.”
Jung Yonghwa and Seohyun will be airing their last episode on April 2nd, which leaves the show’s final line-up to be comprised of Nichkhun and Victoria, Eunjung and Lee Jang Woo, and finally Kim Won Joon and Park So Hyun.

From the get-go, the boys of Super Junior were a topic of hot discussion. Launching their career in 2005 as a 13-member boy group, they’ve been reduced to 10 active members due to the departure of Han Geng and the absence of Kangin and Kibum.
Though all 10 members have branched out into acting, unit promotions, and solo activities, there were four members in particular who managed to shine in their respective areas; they’re none other than leader Leeteuk, Kim Heechul, Yesung, and Shindong.
Coincidence or not, the four are dominating the prime time slots of MBC, SBS, and KBS respectively, and are highly recognized for their witty gab talents.
The reporters of JoongAng recently met up with the four at a fusion restaurant in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul and enjoyed a glass of soju or strawberry cocktail for a laid-back interview.

Kim Isak (25), former member of SM Entertainment group Isak N Jiyeon and VJ on Arirang TV, is starring in a musical.
Isak has been cast for the role of Ilse in the musical ‘Spring Awakening.’ Isak, who debuted as a Isak N Jiyeon member in 2002, has been acknowledged for her beauty and vocal talent.
Isak make her theatrical debut as an actress in the musical ‘The Life’ back in 2008 and for the musical she stated, “I feel pressured about the piece but I’m practicing hard to become a successful musical star.”
Spring Awakening is a rock musical adaptation of the controversial 1891 German play of the same title by Frank Wedekind. Set in late-19th century Germany, it concerns teenagers who are discovering the inner and outer tumult of sexuality.
Aside from Isak, musical actor Choi Jae Rim, who appeared on KBS2TV’s ‘Happy Sunday – Men’s Qualifying’ Harmony episode, has also been cast as Georg. Former baseball star Yoon Hyun Bin plays Melchior and Jung Dong Hwa plays Moritz.
‘Spring Awakening’ will be on stage from June 3rd until September 4th at the Doo San Art Center in Seoul.

Since Super Junior’s Siwon and Donghae were cast to play leading roles for a Taiwanese drama, “Extravagent Challenge“, late last year, they recently attended the drama’s production announcement conference, which was held in Taiwan on March 31st. Their female co-stars, Bianca Bai and Ivy Chen, were also in attendance.
Around 100 fans and reporters swarmed to the scene to catch a glimpse of the actor-idols, and they showed immense curiosity toward whether or not the gentlemen would be partaking in any kiss scenes. The drama’s producer, Niu Cheng Ze, clarified, “After announcing Siwon and Donghae’s casting for this drama, a lot of fans shared their varied opinions on my personal blog. Some are in favor of having kiss scenes, while others aren’t. After observing the opinions, there were a greater percentage of people who wanted to see some kiss scenes. We’re considering filming a male-male kiss scene.”
In response, Siwon added, “To tell you the truth, Donghae and I are currently practicing every night.” Donghae instantaneously blurted, “This is nonsense,” causing everyone at the scene to chuckle.
Siwon and Donghae are planning to stay in Taiwan for two months due to the filming.

Ever since news broke out in October 2010 about SHINee’s Jonghyun and Shin Se Kyung being an item, the Korean media would occasionally report on rumors that the two have broken up.
Indeed, some websites suggested that Shin Se Kyung was too busy filming her new movie, ‘Blue Salt‘, and that she naturally grew apart from Jonghyun.
But according to Shin’s agency, Namoo Actors, those statements couldn’t be farther from the truth.
They stated, “We get a lot of questions regarding Shin Se Kyung and Jonghyun’s relationship. [However], they’re still seeing each other. Please view them in a positive light.”
Shin Se Kyung and Jonghyun met at a private meeting last August. They started seeing each other in October as they bonded over talking about their hobbies and lives. The couple recently celebrated their six-month anniversary as well.
Jonghyun is currently preparing for SHINee’s new album, while Shin Se Kyung has just completed filming ‘Blue Salt’.

Earlier this week, Fluxus Music labelmates W&Whale and Handsome People collaborated for a remake album titled “2011 Camomile Remake Part 2“. The indie groups sought to deliver fresh cover of hit tracks from the ’80s band, Camomile.
Handsome People took on “The Train Heading to the World“, and made a light-hearted acoustic recreation, showing vocalist Tei’s definite departure from the ballad genres he’s usually known for. In contrast, W&Whale made a slower, darker cover of “After Love“.
Although both tracks are vastly different from the original, Camomile fans shared their praise for the two for successfully capturing the songs’ essence.
The full remake album, which features contributions from other indie bands like MoT, Huckleberry Finn, Guckkasten, monni, and Lee Jang Hyuk will be released this month.

Recently, SHINees Onew updated his me2day with a supportive message for CSJH’s Sunday, who is currently competing in tvN’s reality show, “Opera Star 2011“. It’ll be her first Korean broadcast appearance in four years.
Onew wrote, “Hello ^^ Our big sister Sunday is taking on the opera stage. ^^ I think ‘opera’ is a subject? haha~ I mean a genre~ It’s good music that makes me burst into tears when I listen to it~ I actually tried it once and~ anyways~ please cheer for our big sister Sunday! Opera Star~ Sunday hwaiting!”
“Opera Star” is a survival reality show with singers fighting to become an opera star. Sunday will be working alongside Moon Hee Ok, Shin Hae Chul, Kim Chang Ryeol, Lim Jung Hee, Tei, JK Kim Dong Wook, and Jewelry’s Eunjung for the top prize.
