Following Super Junior's Sorry Sorry, SNSD's Genie and SHINee's Romeo, SM Entertainment is finally releasing material from more SM heavyweights in the Philippines this month via Universal Music.

K-pop is booming in the Philippines and with that comes the release of Super Junior M's Super Girl, BoA's BoA Deluxe Edition and not one but THREE DBSK albums.

First up are Super Junior M's Super Girl and BoA's BoA Deluxe Editon on Wednesday, November 18. Super Girl comes with a free poster and both albums will be available at Odyssey, Astro Plus and M1 stores throughout Metro Manila and in select provinces.

A few weeks back Universal Records Philippines posted a promo picture originally used for DBSK's Mirotic concert with only the members silhouettes and I suspected that either The Secret Code or Mirotic would be released here.

Despite the band's complications with SM at the moment, the companies (Universal + SM) are still going ahead with the release of THREE DBSK albums in the Philippines. According to Universal Records Philippines, The Secret Code, Mirotic Version C AND the Mirotic live album are set for a late November or December release. No word on the exact date yet but an inside source from Universal's Marketing Department says that the albums will see a 2009 release.

Big Hit Rookie f(x), Takes over Drama OST too “Sings for Invincible Lee Pyung Kang”



Rookie, f(x), participated in the OST for KBS 2TV Mon-Tues Drama ‘Invincible Lee Pyung Kang’.

The song ‘Difficult and Easy’, sung together by f(x)’s Luna and Krystal, is a piece of work from popular composer Park Geun Tae and lyricist Kim Yi Na. It is a beautiful ballad song in which the lyrics are about a love that looks awkward, clumsy and hard, but the love will be earnestly nurtured.

The music video for ‘Difficult and Easy’ will be revealed through GomTV on November 13th. Also it is anticipated that the song will make the sweet love story between Lee Pyung Kang (Nam Sang Mi) and Woo On Dal (Ji Hyun Woo) even more fun.

Also this song will be revealed through Melon, Dosirak, Cyworld and various other music sites on November 16th. This song is the third song revealed from the ‘Invincible Lee Pyung Kang’ OST after 8eight Lee Hyun’s ‘I Can’t Breathe’ and MC Mong’s ‘Who’s the Man’ featuring Maybee. We anticipate a much bigger interest for the drama equal to that of the songs.

On the other hand, f(x) will perform their title song "Chu~♡" on the 14th for MBC’s ‘Music Core’ and on the 15th for SBS’s ‘Inkigayo.

Deadline of 12th November up! But no response from Dong Bang Shin Ki 3 members

Dong Bang Shin Ki trio Hero JaeJoong, Micky YooChun and Xiah JunSu did not respond to the deadline which SM Entertainment gave them on 2nd November.

SM Entertainment revealed on 12th November, “Until 6pm, they did not give us an answer.”

And about what will happen after this since the 3 have not given an answer, the SM representative said that they are not in the position to say anything yet. But they will be coming up with an official stand again.

During a press conference held on 2nd November, SM Entertainment gave the trio a deadline till 12th November to respond if they have plans for album release as part of Dong Bang Shin Ki early next year.

But the 3 have not given an answer by the deadline. And when asked if it will lead to disbanding of the group, the representative said, “It has not been mentioned to us yet the steps which will follow from here.”

It seems that this fight between the trio and the company will last longer than we have expected it to be.

Korean singer Jang Nara's comment angers Chinese netizens

Jang Nara is a very popular Korean singer and actress. She also sings in Chinese and is known there by her Chinese transliteration name (张娜拉 Zhang Nala).

[East Daily] Recently Jang Nara said in a television program “Every time when I am short of money I will always go to China to make more!” This remark was immediately bombarded by the netizens. They threatened to blacklist her. Today evening (12th), Jang Nara posted an announcement in her blog, apologizing for such remarks.

This blog post was written by Beijing Nara Culture communication Co. Ltd. for her. The article reads “Actually Jang Nara’s speech in the program that day was purely based on the nature of entertainment, as entertainment meant to express, and did not mean any disrespect to the Chinese people.” “We sincerely apologize to those fans and Chinese people who were hurt by this.” Then, the paper describes the whole story of this incident in detail, says “‘every time when short of production budget, will always go perform in China” was added during the translation of the program production process, and Jang Nara did not say that.” Also “solemnly declared” that “Jang Nara definitely does not only come to China for milking money.”

So Nyeo Shi Dae Jessica and her younger sister f(x) Krystal have been picked as the top celebrity siblings.
A survey was done on Monkey3 from 31st October till 6th November and about 585 netizens particated answering the question ‘Who are the best celebrity siblings?’ and the duo Jessica-Krystal received 40%(232 votes) response, coming in #1 on the survey.
The participants to the survey explained their choice, “The 2 are really beautiful and have great vocal capabilities”, “Great genes bestowed upon them”, “Enviable sisters” etc.

YG Entertainment explained its recent 'reverse' strategy for promoting Big Bang member Taeyang's new album, saying it is aimed at prolonging the singer's activities for his new solo album for as long as possible.

Taeyang released digital single "Where U At" from his upcoming first regular album in mid-October and will promote "Wedding Dress", released today, till the end of the year, but neither songs are the title track for the album.

"It has become more difficult for singers to promote tracks on their album other than their title song these days with the entire record being released online and people's listening patterns changing rapidly," Yang Hyun-suk, founder of YG and also producer of the singer, wrote on his agency's official website on Thursday.

2PM Reveals Feelings on 6 Membered Activities

[Asia Economy Park Gun Wook Reporter] Group 2PM (( Junsu, Wooyoung, Nickhun, Chansung and Junho)) has revealed their feelings on 6 membered activities.

At the Oh Good Concert, 2PM told reporters and said "We are very anxious and confident."

Also, "The title song 'Heartbeat' we are very confident in. 'Confident' doesn't mean that we think we can get 1st place, but we have prepared a lot for this so we will show you everything that we have practiced for."

They also said a message for the fans.

Wooyoung said " We had a lot of hard times latley, and I'm sure our fans have been through that too. We will think of this as a new start and work hard."

6-member 2PM revealed their stand about a leader member in the team with the release of their full length album ‘1:59PM’ and coming back with promotional activities for title song ‘Heartbeat’.

A JYP representative said, “There is no new leader for 2PM. The boys have been together since trainee days and until now they know the roles that each of them are confident of, and they have also matured much, then they feel that there is no need for a new leader. There are no plans for choosing a new leader.”

The representative also said, “And when the members need a leading role and when they are in need for help and guidance, every member will take on the role to help every other member. Currently, every member is playing the role as a leader.”

JaeBum, who has left the group earlier, has been given the nickname of ‘leadja’ as the leader to the team by fans. When he left, many fans were left wondering what will happen to the group without a leader role.

Furthermore, Park Jin Young recently said on MBC Golden Fishery that JaeBum will return as 2PM if he comes back. Hence it seems there is no need to choose for a new leader as of now.

Meanwhile, it is revealed the boys will not be appearing on variety shows, there are only plans for them to appear on music shows. They had their comeback stage on 12th November performing as 6 members officially for Mnet ‘O Good Concert’.

Yeah, I kinda figured as much since they're already into their comeback and no "___ is now leader" announcement has been made (though if you ask me, Taec seems like defacto quasi-leader right now, which I would be ok with). 2PM recently released their full album 1:59PM along with a MV for their title-song Heartbeat. Through what seemed like an endless number of teasers, they raised the hype amongst fans, creating a domination among music portal sites with their first track, Tired of Waiting. However, we've got bad news for fans - it is looking like you won't be seeing 2PM on variety shows any time soon! These variety show masters have revealed plans to stay away from being the funny guys they are for a while.

A representative stated:

"We set a policy that 2PM will not be cast in variety shows. They will focus more on activities related to music programs."

It seems like a huge part of the reason is because of the problems related to Jaebeom that is still up in the air. This makes 2PM be in a bad situation to be cast in variety programs for the sake of fans and viewers.

Following their first comeback performance yesterday at Oh Yeah! Concert, they will have their second comeback performance on this week's Music Bank.

Key of 5 member group SHINee reveals, "I have never once thought of SNSD and f(x) as 'girls'.

During SBS Live FM DGDR on the 11th November, Key revealed his thoughts when the DJs asked if dating was not allowed in SM Entertainment.

Girl group 2NE1 had previously revealed that they could not date for a 5 year period. With this mentioned, SHINee could not hide their surprise and said, “We do not have such a rule.”

Key said that “Even if it is like this, I have not thought of SNSD and f(x) members as ‘girls’”, indicating that there is no chance of couples. He continued to explain that for SNSD and f(x), they have known each other for a very long time and while training together, their relationship have become like family, or like friends.

The SHINee members also talked about how they feel awkward when they called “Sunbaenim” by new idol groups. Key said that new groups would come to them and say “Sunbaenim, please look after us well” and they would respond in kind rather sheepishly.

Also, SHINee’s magnae Taemin said “ f(x)'s Krystal and Sulli are just one year younger than me, and when I see them on broadcasts, I find it really intriguing” as he has only debuted over a year but now he already has juniors/hoobaes.

After having pulled in great attention with TOP and Lee Hyori's kiss at least year's year end ceremonies, the special stage this year has been revealed to be between 2PM and Ivy.

MAMA has stated that there will be a surprise stage with these two singers. With the shocking kiss that took place last year, many are expecting the chemistry between Ivy and 2PM to be a step higher in an effort to attract the same, if not more, attention.

2PM is not only the sexiest male group of the year, but Ivy is the returning 'Sexy Queen,' making the anticipation for their stage that much greater. Many are translating this stage as the meeting of 2009's sexiest icons.

A documentary about Korean superstar Rain "Hip Korea, Seoul Vibes" has been nominated in four categories at the 14th Asian Television Awards, according to his agency on Friday.

The documentary, which aired worldwide on the Discovery Channel earlier this year, was nominated in the following categories -- Best Music Program, Best Infotainment Program, Best Direction and Best Cross-Platform Content, J. Tune Entertainment announced in a press release.

The program shows the past and present accomplishments of the Korean singer and actor, from his childhood upbringing to the difficult journey leading up to his success in music, television and movies.

The winners of the 14th Asian Television Awards will be announced at the ATA 2009 Gala Dinner in Singapore on December 3.

Rain is currently on the U.S. promotion tour for his upcoming Hollywood blockbuster "Ninja Assassin", which opens worldwide on November 26.

K-pop group HAM to debut in Japan

K-pop girl band HAM is set to debut in Japan next month, according to the agency on Friday.

The four-member group will appear on a month-long TV shows titled "Idol Sniper" in Osaka with CS Victory channel, LeeYeon Entertainment said in a press release.

LeeYeon explained HAM will go into shoot in December and the show is set to air in Japan in January.

They are also set to hold a joint concert, both in Korean and Japan, alongside Japan's idol duo Marry Doll and perform at numerous concerts in Osaka, including the "Super Live 2010" on March 28.

HAM, which stands for "Heart And Mind" -- debuted in September with the single "T.T Dance". The group's agency also announced that they will release a follow-up single in early December.

Super Junior Eunhyuk has confirmed to have a regular spot for him on the show KBS2TV "Let's go Dream Team Season 2".

Eunhyuk, while attending the show, had not mind doing all the extreme physical activities as well as always bring the bright atmosphere to the show. Many fans had left comments on the show's bulletin board to express their wish for Eunhyuk to become regular member on the show.

Jeon Jinhak, producer of "Dream team 2" said "The decision for Eunhyuk to be regular guest on the show was temporary. Eunhyuk himself had expressed his wish to become regular member of the show and because the production team have agreed so from now on, we plan to let him to be our show's regular guest".

According to Jeon producer, Eunhyuk has become a big help for the show after Jo Sungmo's ankle injury "After seeing his active image on the November 11th filming day, we decided to give him a chance".

Kim Heechul, "Want Recognition As An Actor" Loses 8kg

Super Junior's Kim Heechul lost 8kg, and immersed himself in his acting.

In a recent interview with SportsHankook, Kim Heechul stated, "To be able to appear on screen as the best person I can be, I started on a weight loss plan. In two weeks I successfully lost 8kg. To be able to give everyone my best self, I feel very content."

In SBS's weekend drama [I Love You Ten Million Times] (Screenplay: Kim SakyungㆍDirector: Kim Jungmin), Kim Heechul has successfully changed into an actor. In the drama, alongside the group Sugar's Park Soojin, they act as a couple, & he achieves this role very well. Kim Heechul wasn't satisfied with himself in recent scenes, and began to exercise and eat less, starting a special grade weight loss plan. Kim Heechul stated that his weight loss secret was that he used tofu & roasted chestnuts to replace rice.

Kim Heechul said, "Not only as a singer, but I want recognition as an actor. Whatever appearance I give on stage the fans always gaze lovingly, but it's different in a drama. Not merely just weight loss only, but it takes self-management as well to show the best image."
