Singer IU comes back with a mini on the 12th: IU...IM

IU will being coming back with her second mini-album titled IU...IM on November 12.

The title was chosen because IU's emotions, thoughts and feelings will be expressed through music The title-song is called Marshmallow and is produced and composed by Kim Do Hoon, Park Soo Jong and Chae Gap Won; the latter also wrote the lyrics. The title-song is anticipated to reveal the teenager's feelings towards love like a squishy, sweet marshmallow.

IU's album will also contain other songs such as Love Attack, which expresses a confident girl's honest feelings toward emotions, Riding the Guitar, which reveals IU's matured vocal combined with a magnificent orchestra, Morning Tears, which has a fantasy feeling, and Dugeun Dougeun Date - which expresses the feelings of a girl's first dating experience.

IU's agency Loen Entertainment stated, "In this album, everyone can feel IU's possibilities of a great future. Everyone will fall in love with the pure emotions she is expressing through her activities."

TaeYang's 2nd Digital Single "Wedding Dress" Coming Out on the 13th

TaeYang from Big Bang is going unveil his new single, "Wedding Dress" shortly. According to the YG Entertainment official press release today, TaeYang's 2nd digital single is coming out on the 13th. And TaeYang will continue his promotional activities, inclduing TV appearances, until the end of the year.

The single "Wedding Dress" was co-composed by Teddy and TaeYang and it's a slow R&B song that has both popular appeal and artistic merit, much like "Look Only at Me".

TaeYang will make the TV debut performance of his new single on SBS Inkigayo on the 15th, coming Sunday.

Park Jinyoung reveals return plans for the first time on the show "Mureuppak."

Airing on the 11th, MBC's 'Mureuppak Dosa,' Park Jinyoung carefully revealed plans on bringing Jaebum back.

A JYPE representative said "He revealed the drawing of Jaebum's return a little bit. You may consider it as an upgrade to the responses he's been giving about the Jaebum case. It's not a response that just plainly states the recent conditions but rather a response to the fans. We expect for the curiosity of the fans to be at least a little bit helped."

This is the first time that Park Jinyoung and JYPE spoke out about the Jaebum case. The fact that Park Jinyoung is working on making Jaebum's return a reality is causing much attention.

What fans are more interested in is the level of progress that Park Jinyoung has made on Jaebum's return. Park Jinyoug has yet to announce any details. He merely stated that a 6 membered 2PM is the direction that Jaebum wants and asked of fans to understand.

The producers of were asked how much they will actually reveal. "We're in a bit of an awkward situation. Regardless, we will not make any cuts to the show and air it as is, with everything Park Jinyoung said regarding Jaebum's return."

JaeChunSu planning of working on their own and not responding to SME

The three members of TVXQ who have taken legal action against SM Entertainment are planning to work by themselves, according to their legal counsel.

When Sports Seoul asked the three members' legal counsel about SME demanding the three members to make a decision by the 12th, they were told:

"The three members are taking a break at the moment and are planning new projects. We do not plan on responding to SME's press conference. SME was ordered by the court to submit relevant evidences and they have been ignoring this order for almost 3 months now and they also have not been following any other court orders. Conversations with SME will start when they start respecting the court's decision. The court said that the three members may work on their own, so we do not need SME's permission on that. We are also seriously considering making criminal accusations against SME."

North and South Korea Skirmish

A badly damaged North Korean patrol ship retreated in flames Tuesday after a skirmish with a South Korean naval vessel along their disputed western coast, the first such clash in seven years, South Korean officials said.

There were no South Korean casualties, the country's Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement, and it was not immediately clear if there were any casualties on the North Korean side. Each side blamed the other for violating the sea border.

The exchange of fire occurred as U.S. officials said President Barack Obama has decided to send a special envoy to Pyongyang for rare direct talks on the communist country's nuclear weapons program. No date has been set but it would be the first one-on-one talks since Obama took office in January. Obama is due in Seoul next week.

High Cut Interview: You're Beautiful a.k.a I Smell Romance Brewing

The following video clip (watch here) and interview caught the cast of You’re Beautiful in a rare spare moment as they filmed busily — time is scarce and it looks like they’re in the thick of live-shooting by this point, with just three more weeks left till the series wraps. The cast also seems unusually close and always in good humor, based on the behind-the-scenes clips that have been released.

In the clip, Park Shin-hye starts by explaining the cast’s nicknames for each other (which are explained in more detail below), and then starts reciting one of her lines when Lee Hong-ki appears. Hong-ki takes over and imitates one of Mi-nam’s lines from the scene in Episode 1 where she’s drunk at the party, and Shin-hye acts Jeremy’s part. Jung Yong-hwa arrives and Shin-hye recites his line from the Towel Scene. And then everyone imitates Jang Geun-seok.

They only sleep one to two hours a night and are wrestling with last-minute script pages, but the You’re Beautiful team was asked for a short interview. The clock read 1:30 am. The reason the interview went longer than asked is because of those unstoppable “pretty boys.” At times serious, at times playful, their moonlit chatter doesn’t stop. This is the unstoppable relay between Jang Geun-seok, Park Shin-hye, Lee Hong-ki, and Jung Yong-hwa.

K.Will’s “Hypnotism” got rejected by KBS

Singer K.Will (28; real name: 김형수) 2nd single, “Hypnotism” has been decided by KBS not to be broadcast on their music show (KBS Music Bank). Their main reason to reject this song is because in the songlyrics, there is a phrase, ‘dumb’ that can be a sensitive issue to referring people with disabilities. KBS then decided to give a no-go for this song to be aired on their broadcasting network.

They were going to perform “Hypnotism” with featured rapper, Outsider as K.Will’s 2nd album 2nd single candidate. Alas, they have to make another decision as to pick another song to replace. According to K.Will’s management company, they said, “We have no intention of disrespect those with disabilities. The song doesn’t express the emotion of love itself as a metaphor for being ‘dumb’.” Thus, they have made a promise to take care of this issue with careful consideration.

2PM 'Heartbeat' Sweeping Kpop Charts

The beastly idol group 2PM's first official album's title track 'Heartbeat' is sweeping the kpop charts.

On the 10th, music site 'Monkey3' showed that 'Heartbeat' immediately took first rank the minute of its reveal. Many are showing attention to this feat as 2PM has yet to hold their official comeback stage and managed to land such a high place on the chart.

Not only 'Heartbeat' but 'Tired of Waiting' and 'I was crazy for you' have also been holding their solidified positions in the charts upon reveal, making many express feelings of amazement.

Monkey3 stated "With the revealing of the first two tracks, many have been anticipating 2PM's first album. It seems as if 2PM will be resurrecting the popularity of boy bands once again."

'Heartbeat' is a track with an addictive hook and an old school style rap that also adds in an orchestra, creating a dynamic track produced by Park Jinyoung.

2PM will be holding their comeback on the 13th at 6:40PM on KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank.'

2AM's Jinwoon fully Recovered from Swine Flu!

Group 2AM's Jung Jinwoon was confirmed lately for having swine flu.



On the 6th, a person close of 2AM said that when Jo Kwon was confirmed for swine flu, Jinwoon also had swine flu.

Fortunately, Jinwoon went for treatment with Jo Kwon that day and recovered from swine flu, not letting his team down in the schedules laid out for them. Especially with finals right around the corner, he is studying at a healthy state.

After hearing the confirmation of swine flu of Jo Kwon, fans were very sad but it is said that Jo Kwon will be back on broadcast at a healthier state. Currently on the show MBC 'We Got Married,' with Brown Eyed Girls' Ga In as a fake married couple, Jo Kwon cancelled all schedules upon hearing of swine flu.

On the other hand, 2AM's magnae Jinwoon is a fixed guest on MBC 'We Got Married' with 2AM member Im Seulong. Also, on the 7th is when SBS ETV 'Idol Magnae Rebellion Generation' will be broadcasted as he will reveal his hidden talents.

Jung Yonghwa's C.N.Blue To Guest for F.T Island

Acting as a bassist in “You're Beautiful" - Towel guy, Jung Yonghwa, will meet his fans for the first time on stage.

Jung Yonghwa will lead his fellow members of the idol band C.N.Blue to perform at FT Island's concert as guests, at Seoul's JangChung Gymnasium on 14th and 15th November.

Jung Yonghwa holds the bassist position in A.N. Jell in the SBS Wed-Thu drama “You're Beautiful“, as Kang Shinwoo. He also became the topic of many after being known that he actually belongs to a 4-member band. At FT Island's upcoming concert, he will perform on stage with his bandmates, for the first time in Korea, as the lead vocal. This concert holds an even special meaning as Lee Hongki, who acts alongside with him in the drama, belongs to the band FT Island.

According to Jung Yonghwa's management company FnC Music, “While doing performances with his Indie band in Japan, he got a casting in the drama and so he went over to acting. As he's busy filming for the drama, it's difficult to plan other schedules for him. However, we managed to get consent from the drama producers in advance, to arrange for their first stage in Korea to meet their fans, who want to listen to their performance and songs.”

Jung Yonghwa attracted lots of female fans with his tall height and princely image in “You're Beautiful“. He also studied music while doing street performances and gigs at live clubs with his bandmates in Japan. The other 3 band members are now studying in Japan. They are working very hard with the aim of debuting in Korea early next year.

Asia.co.kr: 2pm will come back with the title song of their first album, "Heartbeat" on 10th Nov. The first stage of it will be a Music Bank of KBS. At last, 2pm, who had many ups and downs, will come back into K-pop culture.

We expect that 2pm will make a lot of issues. there is always a open question, when Jay will come back? and they can rise to the top cuz there are no Dong-Bang-Shin-Ki and Bing Bang in 2009 K-pop. DJ Tukutz sends his greetings

DJ Tukutz of Epik High who left last month to serve his mandatory military service, wrote to his fans recently.

The letter went up on Epik High's website (mapthesoul.com) that read:

"To all the fans who were worried about the alcohol and cigarettes, there's none of that here, so my body is getting a lot healthier. After my mailing address was released / published last week, I've been receiving a lot of letters and I'm ever so grateful for them. I've realized, to a soldier, letters are the 2nd most important thing after food."

Tukutz added:

"I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard my military training photo has been released. How is it? Is it strange? I'm still in training, so I may look a bit awkward, but as I develop as a soldier, I will show more distinguished and cooler photos."

Looks like Tukutz is fitting right in, I'm sure he's still the same old clown though.

Korean Cultural Festival to feature K-pop boyband Shinee

For Pinoy K-pop fans, November is the season to be jolly.

To cap the year-long celebration of 60 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and the Philippines, the Korean Embassy will hold on November 19-27 the Korean Cultural Festival, which will let Filipinos have a taste of Korean food, dance, music, theater, and arts.

But the most-awaited event in the week-long festival is the free K-pop concert scheduled on November 27. It will feature popular Korean front acts like boyband Shinee, jazz band Winterplay, and energetic rap duo Mighty Mouth.

In an email message to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Blaise Regacho, Executive Assistant on Economic & Cultural Affairs for the Korean Embassy, said the concert was borne out of several petitions by avid K-pop fans in the country, to bring Korean stars to the Philippines. Group 2PM will be making their comeback on the 12th on a stage made by Mnet's "Oh~ Good! Concert."

2PM will be singing 'I hate you' along with the title track of their latest album, 'Heartbeat.' Fans have been showing interest because this will be the first stage since Jaebum's leave.

'Oh~ Good! Concert' will also feature MBLAQ, Beast, Ivy, Seeya, Hwisung, Park Hyoshin, and etc.



Since it is the day of the college entrance exams for high school seniors, Mnet said that this stage is especially in support of the test takers. It will be shown at 7 PM with Hyunyoung as the MC.

New group G.I.P, bringing it on against Super Junior-M

Looks like Super Junior-M has their work cut out for them. New Asian pop group G.I.P (亞帥公爵 lit. Handsome Asian Dukes), composed of Chinese-born Koreans, have stepped into the Chinese music boy band scene to face off as Super Junior-M's greatest adversaries. Scouted in a chance encounter by their future manager while performing in the subway, the six members are led by Wei Yuanguo, and joined by lead vocalist Jin Guisheng, as well as Cui Mingzhe, Lin Guangguo, Xu Chenglin, and rapper Cui Lin. This debut group have already begun sweeping the country with their innovative combination of hip-hop, dance, and rap skills. Bringing new elements of hip-hop into their music, G.I.P has been labeled by many as "Asia's Number One Perfect Harmony Group."

SHINee’s Onew is making a speedy recovery from H1N1

Diagnosed with the H1N1 virus late last week, SHINee’s leader Onew is currently making a speedy recovery.

SHINee’s management company SM Entertainment said in a phone interview this morning: “Onew’s body temperature has returned to normal, and he is now making frequent video calls to his good friends. He is in a good state of health as of now.”

The company also said: “Onew will be sent to the hospital on either the 12th or the 13th, to check if he has recovered fully from the virus.”

Before Onew, lead vocal Jonghyun had also fallen ill due to the H1N1 virus on the 3rd, and made a full recovery on the 6th. SHINee is currently promoting title track Ring Ding Dong as a 4-member group.

The title song 'Heartbeat' in 2PM's first official album '01:59PM', is garnering immense popularity as soon as it was released on the 10th. It had placed 1st in various music charts and is staying on as one of the top searched terms in various portal sites.

2PM's new song, 'Heartbeat' comes after their debut song '10 out of 10', 'Again and Again' and 'I hate you'. The song embodies a powerful yet dark and wistful sentiment -- the color of 2PM is well captured. 'Heartbeat' is written and composed by Park Jin Young. It uses the actual heart beat sounds of the 6 members as the base and an orchestra is arranged over the sound creating a sad, doleful melody that captures the melancholy sentiment.

As much work has been put into the song, they have put in a lot of effort into the marketing as well. The result of many fans discussing how the album's title, '01:59PM' has been used to call 2PM without Jaebum, along with how the songs, 'Tired of Waiting' and 'I was crazy for you' seems to reflect the 6 members' and Jaebum's thoughts are all a result of how the marketing point has hit its mark.
