For the pre-recorded episode of KBS Open Concert aired on 18th October, groups f(x) and 4Minute have to perform their hits in the rain. This episode took place outdoors, and unfortunate for the girls, it started to rain when it was their turn to perform.

After School's Bekah is known for her fierce and sexy rapping in "Diva", "AH" and "Amoled". But at a recent performance, she was heard singing!

Although Bekah did have one singing line in "AH", singing was never what she was known for. She was mostly known for her fierce and in-your-face raps with large oversized sunglasses (many fans often compared her to a female version of 2PM's Taecyeon). However, at a recent performance, Bekah was seen and heard singing!

Fellow After School member So Young has been absent from the group to take care of some personal business and with the high demand for After School at university events and loads of music festivals, After School had to continue performing without her. I was expecting Jung Ah to take over So Young's parts because in a past performance of "Diva", it was Jung Ah that sang So Young's parts. However, at this event that was broadcast today on the 17th, Bekah has taken So Young's parts of the song.

It was announced today that Park Bom will be the next and second 2NE1 member to make her solo debut.

YG Entertainment said on the 21st, "Park Bom will release her single album at the end of October. It will be a R&B song and there will also be a music video. We haven't decided on whether there will be any broadcasting and promotional activities."

YG Entertainment had revealed back in September that the other 2NE1 members will follow after Sandara Park in releasing their solo album. Sandara Park's digital single, Kiss has been pretty popular with fans since it's release and dominated music charts despite the lack of promotion. It was also used for her Cass Beer CF with Lee Minho.

Having been tipped by many to have a solo debut since her trainee days with YG Entertainment in the past, it looks like Park Bom is finally going to do it.

Footage of the “New” Seeya filming the music video for their comeback single 그놈 목소리 “(Voice Of A Murder)” has just been released/uploaded. Looking back at Seeya during their “Hot Girl” days, Nam Gyu-ri drama included, it is apparent that the original members Lee Boram and Kim Yeonji have been put through alot of grief. But hopefully with their new hip-adult image, and fresh member Soomi, Seeya can gain a wider fan base to appreciate their incredible vocal talents. Quick question though, what is up with the title? Voice Of A Murder? That doesn’t sound like a toe-tapper, it sounds like a Charles Manson club jam!

Although the market for soju hasn’t been the best lately, because of Hyori Lee, Choem Choreom Soju has stood out in the pack again.

According to statistics of alcohol production in August, Choem Choreom Soju’s production is steadily increasing. This year, their production has soared past 13%, increasing by 4% from last year. From January to August of this year, they have sold 9,326,000 boxes of soju.

Choem Choreom Soju’s popularity is largely attributed to their spokesperson, Hyori Lee. Ever since 2007, Hyori has been the spokesperson for Choem Choreom Soju and no other soju spokepersons have lasted longer.

The soju spokespersons are constantly changing, but Hyori has stayed and maintained her popularity with soju-drinkers.

Many have claimed that Hyori’s sexiness and straight-forwardness in ‘Family Outing’ are ideal traits for endorsing soju.

Competing soju brands have used Son Dambi, Shin Minah, Baek Jiyoung and other top female celebrities but none have surpassed Hyori in popularity.

In September, Cool Beverages, the company in charge of Choem Choreom Soju, conducted a survey and asked consumers, “Which soju advertisement comes to mind first?” Hyori came in first with 54% and subtracting the 34% that answered “No one,” Hyori pretty much took a majority of the votes.

A representative of Choem Choreom Soju said, “In this time period’s Choem Choreom Soju advertisement, Hyori’s music and dance led to very good results,” and “Not only did Hyori break the record for longest soju endorsement, but she also brought excellent marketing results.”

Korea's fastest rapper Outsider, will stop his promotions for his 2nd album, Maestro.

Outsider in the past received a lot of popularity from his title-song "Loner." Since last June, he has had a busy schedule promoting his 2nd album's song such as "Youth's Confession," as well as Shin Tae Kwon's "Happy Ending," which featured Outsider's rap.

Amidst all these disasters drowning Kangin in his moment of shame, it seems like nothing can make the situation worse than it is now. I guess I was wrong, for the hatred from the netizens toward Kangin is now exponentially rising after hearing about the details of Kangin's confession towards the police.

According to the police representative who participated in the "interview" with Kangin on the 18th, Kangin revealed, "My name is Kim Young Woon (his real name), and I am a college student attending Kyung Hee University." Of course, to these busy and dutiful officers who work their butts off day and night to save citizens from danger, they were not aware that the man in front of them was actually the idol Kangin of Super Junior.

The officer to whom Kangin confessed to stated, "His identification card proved he was indeed an 85'er, Kim Young Woon. We asked for his occupation, and he answered "student of Kyung Hee University". We believed so, until we later found out that he was actually a well-known singer." This obviously proves that Kangin made an attempt to cover up his celebrity position, yet it ultimately failed.

Super Junior member Kang-in showed up at a police station on Sunday midnight to receive investigation for drunk driving hit-and-run.

He had failed to turn up at Seoul Gangnam Police Station for investigation Friday after turning himself in earlier in the day for colliding into two taxis with his car and then fleeing the scene.

Two taxi drivers and two passengers were in the vehicles the singer ran into but no injuries were reported. His alcohol level stood at 0.113 percent almost six hours after the incident.

Police said the 24-year-old singer admitted to all charges over an hour-long inquiry and will turn over the case to prosecution.

There have been speculations that uljjang actor Seo MinWoo will make a singer debut.

Earlier this year, he was also the main character to Seo Taiji’s blockbuster MV ‘Human Dream’ together with child actor Yoo ChangHyun.

And recently on his minihompy, he posted up photos taken together with other trainees. There was one particular photo, showing him posing with 4 other individuals, which sparked off netizens’ interests on whether this meant the debut of another upcoming boyband.

Seo MinWoo have appeared in dramas and movies like ‘King and I’ in 2008 and ‘The Longest 24 months’.

The release date for K-pop group SHINee's new mini-album has been put off by three days to October 22, according to their agency on Monday.

"We found problems to several songs on the albums so we had to recall every copy to make new ones," SM Entertainment said in a press release. The albums were set to go on sale today.

SM added that however, the digital versions to all six tracks listed in "2009, Year of Us" were released on online music sites including Melon and Dosirak.

Some controversy has been stirring up with MC Mong!

MC Mong has denied recent rumors that he set up certain "coincidences" on episodes of 1 Night 2 Days. MC Mong was accused of planning to have the "hoop boy" (굴렁쇠소년) Yoon Tae Ung on the show for an episode. To this accusation MC Mong said, "That is ridiculous."

On the episode, Yoon Tae Ung, who was part of the opening for the 1988 Olympics in Korea, came on the show. Since he is a (generally) widely known person, people thought MC Mong brought him on on purpose to try and help the olympic boy become famous. People were thinking it was all a set up and not a coincidence that the cast just happened to meet the guy on set. People pointed fingers at MC Mong but he defended himself.

He replied, "If I planned it out, would I pick the hoop boy? Really? We were in the military together and that's how we met. He came to visit me. I don't get why people are saying I plotted this whole thing. People are so uptight these days. Why do they have to try to make people look like liars?"

MC Mong showed his disappointment towards the people that thought low of him over the incident. He ended the interview with Newsen on a good note by saying, "It's been almost two years since I have joined 1 Night 2 Days, but I never get tired or worn out from it. It's just fun! It's all real but I have a certain character image I must follow. Lee Seung Gi is the nice and innocent one and I'm the opposite. Through this show, I discovered a new me. When I'm with the cast, I'm happy and comfortable."

MC Mong's "bad image" on the comedy show must've made people more suspicious of his actions. It's good to know that he has his 5 other members that have his back.

On a brighter note, MC Mong will be making a comeback with his song "Horror Show" on M! Countdown this week.

The dance moves for boy band SHINee's new single "Ring Ding Dong" were created jointly by famed choreographers Misha Gabriel and Nick Bass, according to their agency on Monday.

Gabriel -- famous for working with Justin Timberlake, Hillary Duff -- and Bass -- in charge of Janet Jackson's choreography as well as having worked with Beyonce and Britney Spears -- directed the dance composition for the new song released last week, explained SM Entertainment in a press release.

The five-member idol group staged their new moves on KBS' music show Music Bank on Friday, performing the title song for their third mini-album "2009, Year Of Us" for the first time since their comeback.

"Ring" received favorable response from fans immediately after its release last Wednesday, topping the charts on the online website of music channel Mnet and Dosirak over the weekend.

Asian pop sensation Rain, set to appear on CNN's "Talk Asia" next week, was invited on the show after being selected as a representative figure of Korea, according to his agency on Monday.

Celebrity siblings must be the trend in Korea.

It looks like Xiah Jun-su’s brother Kim Jun-ho is currently preparing to debut as a singer. Word is that Jun-su has personally asked singer The One to be his older brother’s vocal trainer, to which The One has agreed. Apparently, Kim Jun-ho has already been attaining acting lessons for the past three years and has had already been on stage as a musical actor.

There’s no news yet, as to when the 188 cm tall twin sibling of Jun-su will make his official debut as a singer but judging from the media attention he’s getting, it looks like his debut isn’t too far away.

But will Kim Jun-ho be able to garner as much fame as his DBSK member sibling, Jun-su?
