Star Empire has expressed their regret for group V.O.S’ transfer to another company.
On Mnet ‘Return of the Empire’s Children’ aired on 19th October, the representative Shin JooHak of Star Empire said, “This year, there is no much profits for Star Empire and we have no backup plan for that. With that, we call it a crisis for the company. With various situations of singers like transfer of company and inactivity, we will have to go ahead with Child Of Empire unconditionally.”

With that, it was stated that there are plans for Child Of Empire to do a programme on their wingcar public performance, saying that, “It will be of help. This was what Jewelry and V.O.S went through.”
What it means by a wingcar performance is that the members will do a mission of going around doing public performances without the help of a manager or company staff doing PR and promotions. Even as Child Of Empire consists of 9 members, they will only be given 100k KRW as promotion fees and they will have to settle meals and sleep in tents.
Star Empire’s representive said, “It will be hard to survive over 2D1N with just the amount because they have to settle from petrol fees to food with that. But with the hardship they go through, it will allow them to display their strength on stage in the future.”

After coming out about being each other’s fans, 4 member mixed gender group B2Y and girl group f(x) have become intimate.

Immediately after the broadcast of SBS Inkigayo on the 18th, in the waiting room B2Y and 5 member multinational girl group f(x) learned each other’s song and dance and exchanged their friendship. Particularly, f(x) were the first ones to reveal that they were fans of B2Y, so from beginning to end the atmosphere in the waiting room was friendly.

After B2Y finished performing their debut title song ‘Jeez’, and while they were coming off the stage, f(x)’s Luna revealed to them “I really like the song” while singing and dancing along to it. While they were showing an example of their dance, B2Y’s female members Nara and Rika, were supported by the remaining members from the two groups.

Also B2Y’s members followed along to f(x)’s LA chA TA, contributing to the warm atmosphere. After coming out of their waiting room, B2Y and f(x) contrasted the ‘rival’ name that they were given between the two groups, and attracted the attention of people.

Among the flood of girl groups, f(x) who has been shooting forward as super rookies, performed their song LA chA TA at Inkigayo.

June released a two song EP last month on the 18th, which was followed by a MV for the first song, Who Do You Love. And look, here's a second MV for his other song, 만약에. (Translation needed!) 만약에 is a soft sounding ballad where Who Do You Love has a more electric pop/jazz feel to it.

June, real name Yun Yeongjun, used to be (or is? unsure!) in the duo named 20th Century Boys that debuted last year with their self titled album.

Leader Yoon Doo Joon (20) starred in Mnet’s “Hot Blood.”

“In 2007, just 3 months after being a trainee at JYP, I ended up starring [in Hot Blood]. Looking back, I was so cocky to point where now I think, “Why was I like that?” I didn’t have any sincere desire to succeed as a singer. I’m embarrassed.”

Entertainment companies, including YG Entertainment, were ordered to correct their unfair contracts after a government inspection by the Korean Fair Trade Commission (FTC).

FTC announced on the 20th that 198 contracts between an entertainer and their company were corrected after their inspection on 20 entertainment companies. The inspection was carried out from April to May of this year.

For example, YG deleted the clause that reads "After the day that the contract between the company and the entertainer ends, the company is relieved from the duty to pay royalties from recorded materials to the entertainer and all proceeds from said materials belong to the company," meaning that YG's entertainers can now receive royalties from the songs they made with YG even after they leave the company. YG also changed the clause that reads "Entertainer must receive permission of the company in order to travel outside of Korea" to "Entertainer must inform of their out-of-country travel plans to the company beforehand to not cause any disruptions in management planning process," meaning that YG's entertainers like Big Bang and 2NE1 now may travel outside of the country without YG's permissions.

Singer Se7en is in preparations to make a comeback to the local music scene for the first time since 2006, according to his agency on Tuesday.

"He has recently been recording songs for his next album to be released in Korea," an official at YG Entertainment told 10Asia over the phone.

The official added that a single could be released ahead of a regular album, although she could not confirm the exact timing. "It will all depend on how good the song is -- the comeback may be delayed if the song isn't good enough," she explained.

The 24-year-old singer had last released a fourth album in Korea before heading to the United States to expand his career. He released his first English single "Girls" featuring Lil' Kim in March this year.

Since his debut in 2003, Se7en has enjoyed a successful career not only in Korea but also throughout several countries throughout Asia including Japan, China, Thailand and Taiwan.

SHINee's Minho was one of the guests on KBS2TV's "Chitchat of Beauties" on the 19th along with his fellow group members, Jonghyun and Onew.

While the beautiful ladies from different countries talked about dating younger men they said, "Guys mature slower so we need to date older men so that our maturity levels are the same."

Minho responded to this by saying, "That's prejudice. It's a stereotype that guys mature slower. It's not always true. If you dated one, you'd think differently."

Cute Minho also said, "I know about women. I know that they're not men," which made everyone laugh.

A fellow beauty supported Minho by saying, "I've always dated men younger than me. I'm more comfortable with younger men or men the same age as me. It makes me feel more powerful."

Maybe Minho speaks from experience.

It was as much of a success as it was problematic. But nobody can deny that the Korean version of “Boys over Flowers” became a phenomenon in South Korea and a successful adaptation for all of Asia.

During its airing, the series was constantly at the center of rumors, unfortunate incidents and controversies -- one of its actresses committed suicide, most of the main characters got injured in car accidents while rushing on tight shooting schedules and the show received warnings from the media watchdog for excessive product placement. “Boys” also received harsh criticism for its unrealistic plot and seemingly discontinuous storyline in parts.

But the 25-part series ended in a success, recording ratings of an average 30 percent while selling to 11 countries in Asia.

“Boys”, based on a 37-volume Japanese comic series received a top manga award in 1996 and had been adapted into TV series in Japan and Taiwan.

10asia met with Bae Jong-byung, the planning director of “Boys” from production company Group Eight to get a closer look behind the scenes.
