Girl version of “Bobby Kim,” ALi debuts

It looks like another artist has debuted! Thankfully, it is a solo-artist, who is being called a "female version of Bobby Kim," as her name is "ALi."

In the past, she has worked with hip-hop duo LeeSsang, in their songs "I'm Not Laughing," and "Ballerino." Listening to her featuring, you will hear that she has a rich, explosive and powerful voice.

She hit the music charts impressively, as on the 8th, when she released the songs online, she was ranked third in Cyworld's music chart, taking a place amongst the sunbaes Wheesung, LeeSsang, and MC Mong. On October 14th, she released her first mini-album in the market, called "After The Love Has Gone," which contained 5 tracks.

Ga-In and Jo Kwon become regulars for We Got Married

Remember Brown Eyed Girls' Ga-In and 2AM's Jo Kwon getting "married" on the Chuseok special of We Got Married? At that point, it ended with them going into their unique container home. But their appearance then was supposed to be a one day trial run for Chuseok only.

But thanks to the widespread interest from viewers hoping to see Ga-In and Jo Kwon again on We Got Married, they will now become the third couple on the show joining Hwang Jung Eum - Kim Yong Joon and UEE - Park Jae Jung. No such luck for the other Chuseok couple, Kim Na Young and Lee Suk Hoon who was not mentioned.

Shin Hye Sung's Agency Issues an Apology

Boy band Shinhwa member Shin Hye-sung's agency issued an apology on Friday, asking fans to forgive the singer who has been indicted on charges of compulsive gambling.

A day earlier, Incheon District Court indicted without physical detention the 29-year-old singer for gambling with money worth over 120,000 dollars over five occasions in Macau between July 2007 and April 2008. He was also handed a fine of 8,500 dollars.

FT Island becomes ambassadors for Gangwon-Do Province.

Lee Hongki and Song Seunghyun, members of FT Island who gained lots of popularity in Korea and Japan, were at Gangwon-Do recently for a photoshoot to promote the province to Japanese tourists.

The two members introduced Gangwon-Do by experiencing the place themselves. They went to Kyungpo Beach, Chamsori Museum, rode on rail bikes as well as the beach train at Jungdong-jin, East Sea. The series of photoshoot by famous Japanese photographer, Shimokoshi Haruki, portrays the beauty and charm of Gangwon-Do.

Lee Hongki said that, “Having the duty of promoting Korea overseas, we hope that many tourists will come and visit Gangwon-Do.”

Gangwon-Do’s official homepage featuring “FT Island Treasure Hunt Tour, Go! Go! Gangwon-Do” will open on 19th October.

This is a joint project by KNTO, Gangwon-Do and Gangwon-Do Tourism Association.

Lee Junki as a nightclub waiter in Hero

Lee Junki may be playing a reporter in the new MBC drama Hero, but in these stills, he’s playing the part of a nightclub waiter. (The articles don’t specify why, but I suspect he is undercover.)

A source from the production said, “Lee Junki is so slick as he acts the role that the staff has joked back and forth with him about whether he used to work at a nightclub. It should be entertaining watching him show various sides to the Do-hyuk character, the ‘passionate reporter,’ as he transforms into a fun, oddball waiter.”

Another source said, “The staff and actors are all working hard at all hours of the night. We anticipate that the passionate work of the Hero team will heat up the drama as well. We hope that the viewers will look forward to watching.”

Hero, which also stars Kim Min-jung and Eom Ki-joon, will broadcast a week earlier than originally scheduled. Due to the cutting of Heading to the Ground, it premieres on November 11.

GDragon to perform ‘A Boy’ and ‘Billie Jean’ on SBS Inkigayo

GDragon will move on to promote the song ‘A Boy’ from his solo debut album.

Coming 18th October on SBS Inkigayo, he will be performing the followup hit ‘A Boy’ from his solo album for the first time. He will also be performing a special dance performance of Michael Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean’ on Inkigayo that day.

The lyrics to the song talks about the truthful feelings of GDragon from when he started training at the tender age of 13 until present.

Meanwhile, on Inkigayo this Sunday are also the performances of debut groups like BEAST and MBLAQ.
