this is totally a marketing gimmick. no network would just go and cancel a music award show just cause. this would be a bigger deal and would have some kind of further explanation. considering that they even made a video and it wasn't in any way sad or reminiscing, it's a marketing ploy.
plus, if this was true, then they wouldn't of offered the winner of superstar k a performance at the awards this year. and for the skeptics that are saying that they probably didn't know the decision back then canceling a huge program doesn't just come overnight. also, up until the revealing of who won superstar k, they still said that the winner would be performing at the awards. (the winner was only announced last week.)
so this is probably and most-likely a marketing ploy.
that sounds really gimmicky - I bet something interesting is heading our way. TV in general does not hype up the non-existance of a program unless something different/new is being hinted at. It's simply bad business otherwise.
mte, this just seems like the beginning of some advertising shit-stirring for some new gimmick they have planned. people aren't interpreting this the right way - lol if a big korean program shut down, they would write out some ridiculously awkward and terse apology and release it to the media first. instead, we have a vague video that seems to be foreshadowing something... hm
