Unknown (at least to me) trot singer Teu Ma King recorded a trot remix of 2NE1/Big Bang's "Lollipop". Dare I say it's better than the original? I dare. Hwang Bo Poses in Wedding Dresses

Hwang Bo looks stunning in wedding gowns. She looks incredible in this photo shoot titled "Exquisite Allure." Looks like the We Got Married feel is back. Hwang Bo is set to release a new album again and make her comeback along with other "older" singers such as Chae Yeon, Lee Jung Hyun and Park Ji Yoon.

While We Got Married currently is still teetering on the edge of near failure, WGM alumni Alex was quoted as saying that he hasn't been hit on by women since the show. But instead, his famous foot-washing scene for ShinAe has gotten him a lot of demands from women he meets for the first time. He said on a talk show that he's completely shocked how women are so upfront with him about washing their feet. Anyways, enjoy the photos of Hwang Bo below.

TV Programs Testing Limits in Foul Language

The popular SBS miniseries, "Cruel Temptations," had been warned for offensive language on more than one occasion by the country’s T.V. watchdog.


SBS perhaps could change its name to something that includes "swearing", as it leads a list of major broadcast networks exposed for their increasing use of bad language.

The Korea Communications Standards Commission (KCSC), the country's watchdog for television, radio and Web content, said a jump in profanity was found on virtually every network in both the terrestrial and cable field.

Viewer complaints have also been rising, it said.

Of the 158 complaints submitted to the commission in March, about 70 percent of them were about programs from national networks. There were 17 complaints regarding language standards, the commission said, up from six complaints in the previous month.

Moon Geun-young celebrates 22nd birthday

Moon Geun-young (Tale of Two Sisters, Painter of the Wind) celebrated her 22nd birthday with a group of 700 fans, and it sure looked like she had a good time.

The birthday fanmeeting took place on May 2 in Seoul at Moon’s current school, Sungkyunkwan University, where she studies Korean literature. Moon Chae-won, with whom Moon Geun-young acted in Painter of the Wind, was also a special guest at the fanmeeting.

Why Few Koreans Master English

Once again Jon Huer has approached an issue of interest ―"Why Is English So Difficult for Koreans to Master?" (April 25) ― but, rather than grounding his thesis in real-world research (i.e. talking to students or teachers of English), he has wandered off into thickets of abstruse philosophizing leading to risible and unsupportable conclusions.

For example, Huer makes much of the social stratification embedded in Korean versus English egalitarianism. I have yet to meet a Korean, however young, who took longer than 30 seconds to grasp that English has only one second-person pronoun, you, which is used to address everyone from the president to a janitor.

Similarly, Huer contrasts "efficient, calm and factual" English with the han-ridden emotionalism of Koreans. One wonders if Huer has read Shakespeare, Faulkner or Albee (to name a few), who have plumbed the depths of pathos and psychic torment in English.

Enough. Here is why Koreans have difficulty mastering English.

Steering Committee Launched to Globalize Korean Food

First Lady Kim Yoon-ok called for efforts Monday to promote traditional Korean food, or "hansik", around the world, saying doing so will help upgrade the country's image abroad.

"The globalization of hansik will not only help expand hallyu (the Korean culture wave), but help enhance Korea's global reputation", Kim said in a ceremony in Seoul to launch the initiative steering committee.

Kim will serve as the honorary chairwoman of the 36-member group, which will include Yoo In-chon, minister of culture, sports and tourism; Chang Tae-pyong, minister of food, agriculture, forestry and fisheries; and chief executives of food firms.

Actor Bae Yong-joon, who runs a Korean restaurant in Tokyo, was also appointed a committee member.

On April 29, 2009, SS501’s Park Jung-mn confessed that he has no regrets filming a condom commercial. On MBC’s “Golden Fishery,” the pop act added that the prophylatic CF was filmed while he was a horny teenager in his senior year of high school. And when asked if he was ok if the CF were to be aired again- he replied that he would be fine with it since the message is “is something important”.

The opening day of Micky Yoochun's TimeOut Gelato Bars, which had been set on May 2nd, has been delayed to the 9th. TimeOut Gelato Bars is a franchise that started in Thailand, so the picture with the girl workers in the previous article was most likely taken from another franchised TimeOut. But never fear, these new pictures are straight from Micky's TimeOut in Korea. It has a nice, clean, modern decor. He has good taste in cars, women, and interior design.

Even SNSD Can’t Save MBC Sunday Nights

All the girls from SNSD and Shin Dong Yup were brought on board to try and save the tanking MBC Sunday Sunday Night shows, which are getting low ratings and are seen as a total humiliations by the media.

Sunday Sunday Night's first part has new shows called "Quiz Prince" and "Horror Movie Factory," and the second part is the show familiar We Got Married. The first scored 3.3% and WGM's ratings were 6.8%, an all time low for the once popular show according to TNS Media Korea on May 3rd.

SNSD pranked Taeyeon on Horror Movie Factory on hidden camera. Members Sunny, Yoona, Jessica, Soo Young, Hyo Yun, Yuri, Tiffany, and Seo Hyun took Taeyeon into a haunted house to build up Taeyeon's tolerance for fear. Each episode will feature an acting coach and unique techniques to learn acting skills. The winner of the horror queen contest will get to star in a new horror flick. WGM's Kim Shin Young, Cho Hye Lyun, and Yoo Se Yoon will be the MCs on the show to add a little comedy relief to the scary show.

The same players from previous shows Golden Fish and Myung Nang Hero were used in Quiz Prince with Shin Dong Yup as the host.

MBC seems to be having some trouble as talk show 'DaeMang' was canceled after only four episodes because viewership remained at single digit ratings.
