2NE1 20s teaser to 'Fire' gets overwhelming interests from music fans
Netizens asked, "2NE1 is really a newcomer?"

YG upcoming female group 2NE1 released the 1st teaser of 20sec to their debut single title song 'Fire' on 1st May on their official website. And it has attracted 200,000 views in just 1 day into its reveal - great interests roused from netizens and music fans.

YG representative said on 2nd May, "From the opening of 2NE1’s official website till now, we get about 50,000 views a day on the site. But with the release of the teaser, the traffic to the site went over 200,000. Our server went down because of the huge traffic."

Girls' Generation announced on the 30th that they're opening registration for their first ever fan meeting since debut. This is the next big step for fans of SNSD, with the previous being the announcements of the official fan club name S♥NE and the opening of registrations for the official fan club by S.M. If the performances at the fan meeting are anything like SNSD's performance at MBC's Dance Battle and Wonder Girls' performances at their fan meeting, then there are a lot to be excited about.

Jang Geun Seok’s HaHaHa video will be the 2nd main campaign video after So Nyeo Shi Dae’s. For Jang Geun Seok’s version of ‘HaHaHa’ video, he confessed to a noona (played by Yoon Seo Jin, who is in actual 5 years older than Jang Geun Seok himself) whom he has been with a for a long time.

'Thirst' Tops Box Office in Korea With 600,000 Moviegoers

"Thirst", of Director Park Chan-wook's latest film, placed top in the box office during the two consecutive holidays of the opening week.

The film attracted a total of 626,024 moviegoers during the first three days after the release, following 439,950 at 601 cinemas across the country for May Day and Saturday, according to the integrated computer network figure of the Korean Film Council.

The film also attracted 178,000 cinemagoers, Thursday, the largest number among new releases in the first day of their screening this year.

The film, which tells the story of a priest who becomes a vampire, is expected to hit 800,000 in total Sunday if the current trend persists, according to movie analysts.

SNSD's Sooyoung and Yuri's deceitful hidden camera acting drew in viewers' attention.

On the 3rd, MBC's "Sunday Night" new corner broadcasted SNSD's "Horror Film Factory" at a haunted house in Kyunggido at an undisclosed location. There, they told a fake ghost story to the leader, Taeyeon, in order to start their hidden camera.

WonderGirls SunMi gets surprise 18th birthday party in America

WonderGirls threw a surprise birthday party for member SunMi, in America as they prepares for their American debut, on 2nd May.

They posted an entry on Ningin blog on 2nd with a post title ‘Happy Birthday, Mimi!’.

"Hope you didn’t forget that it’s Mimi’s bday today!!! Follow her on Twitter and wish her a happy birthday on Facebook/MySpace too! The four of us and our JYP family threw her a surprise party last night when it turned 12am, and she loved it!!! ^^ Thank you so much for all the presents that you guys sent us - a special shoutout to SPECTACLE!"

They also updated fans about their current status in America:
