2NE1 20s teaser to 'Fire' gets overwhelming interests from music fans
Netizens asked, "2NE1 is really a newcomer?"

YG upcoming female group 2NE1 released the 1st teaser of 20sec to their debut single title song 'Fire' on 1st May on their official website. And it has attracted 200,000 views in just 1 day into its reveal - great interests roused from netizens and music fans.

YG representative said on 2nd May, "From the opening of 2NE1’s official website till now, we get about 50,000 views a day on the site. But with the release of the teaser, the traffic to the site went over 200,000. Our server went down because of the huge traffic."

I feel like there might be a backlash against this song and the group. YG has been promoting them without actually debuting them for so long that a lot of people are become irritated by them. The song seems okay but their style seems forced, especially CL. I feel like they are trying too hard to be gangstas or "urban" when they're not. CL's flows are okay but not exceptional. They're nothing like Tasha's or anything. I also think YG did a mistake promoting them as the female Big Bang instead of just a YG girl group. BB has set the bar pretty high and I don't think these girls will be able to meet it. They don't have that much of a hands on approach to their style, concept, or music like BB does which doesn't sit well with me. Anyway, I'll see what happens and wait for the whole song before i can tell whether I like their music or not.
