Court Hands Former President Park Geun-Hye Another 8 Years In Prison

A Seoul court on Friday sentenced former President Park Geun-hye to eight years in prison for illegally taking off-book funds from the state spy agency and interfering in elections during her term in office.

Televised live, the Seoul Central District Court meted out the guilty verdict to the 66-year-old, who's already serving a 24-year jail term on a string of corruption charges in a nation-rocking scandal that led to her ousting last year.

The court also ordered her to forfeit 3.3 billion won ($2.91 million).

Seungri talks about new album & BIGBANG's hiatus

Seungri, the youngest member of sensational K-pop boy band BIGBANG, released his first full-length album Friday with a title based on the well-known American novel "The Great Gatsby," aiming to make up for the quintet's prolonged hiatus.

The nine-track album, "The Great Seungri," was named after his recent byname, "Seung-tsuby," likening the singer to the novel's main character for his successful restaurant business as well as his lavish lifestyle.

This song has been posted twice before, so this time I’m picking a concert performance. And an English version of the song! This was when the girls took part in MTV’s World Stage concert in Malaysia in 2010. I think this was also when Lim was pretty new to the group? Also, I feel spoiled with Korea’s music show camera work, this camera work seems all over the place to me lol.

A man in Kazakhstan has confessed to killing Olympic figure skating medalist Denis Ten, authorities said Friday.

Prosecutor Berik Zhuyrektayev said in a televised statement that Nuraly Kiyasov "confessed his guilt in the presence of an attorney" while being questioned over the 25-year-old figure skater's death Thursday in the Kazakh city of Almaty.

The prosecutor didn't give further details of what exactly Kiyasov said.
