BamBam really took the lead this time. He’s always been chatty, charming, and personable, but I wonder if there was discussion about this? Mark, as always, is super chill about helping with English. I have always appreciated how he comes off as really non-judgmental about people trying with language. I wonder if it’s one reason BamBam is so comfortable, or if that’s the result of (them both actually) having to learn new languages at a young age.

I found Ellie’s style worked well with EXO, but it felt a bit much with Got7. I dunno if they seemed extra chill, or because the language barriers is so much lower than with EXO.

I am so so sad the American interviews are coming to an end. I think the loose Western style really suits Got7 (and JYP allows it)... I'm not sure it suits JY and JB, but hard to know because JY seems to always have his image in mind and JB just seems basically serious.

Yeah I think all of them were on the same day, but iirc that's how these things are done? I might be wrong but I have vague memory BTS also had a US interviews dump all on the same day? Maybe it's because of scheduling, but it is kind of a weird arrangement.

i like ellie lee! last time i watched one of her interviews was when she interviewed exo but it's nice to see that she remains as cute and funny as ever. :') she seems very chill so a perfect match for got7!

bam has really been taking over these interviews and i love it! i was thinking that jackson was being unusually quiet during this interview but maybe it was just the exhaustion of the whole day catching up with him. and anyway, he seemed visibly more relaxed later on. mark is seriously the cutest human being alive ... i love him. i love him!!!

yugyeom is my son and i love him but when will he stop speaking of chr*s br*wn as his role model!!! surely there are other artists out there who can dance AND sing???? it's been years i thought he would finally move on at some point. also by the way can they let us know which artist jinyoung mentioned!! i really wanted to know but of course they just edit it out lmao

yeah i always thought episodes were like an hour long or something but watching a dozen 15-minute episodes was pretty easy! i didn't have any real expectations when i first started watching because i had seen a few clips or gifs of it here and there before but i did remember that you said dream knight was what convinced you that jinyoung is a really good actor so yeah. basically i went in with mixed feelings and honestly that didn't really change until like halfway through the series.

the turning point for me, however, was definitely episode 8 and a little bit of episode 9!! i watched that and i was like, wow yes i see what everyone is saying about jinyoung being a good actor even back then!! :') idk if you can call it a real plot twist but what was revealed about jinyoung and his team in episode 8 had me shook lmao!! all those flashbacks were truly everything!! and jinyoung just. he took his role and made the best out of what was given to him which, i admit, wasn't a lot. but he did it!! at that point i was so intrigued by his storyline that now i honestly and genuinely do wish for a sequel lmfao like i know they were just joking about it in one of their interviews but seriously ... do it @ jype!!! OR JUST GIVE JINYOUNG ANY ACTING JOB god at this rate i'll have to re-watch nunbal too. but seriously the scene at the very end of dream knight (with jinyoung in ~normal student clothes with his hair down HOLY SHIT HE LOOKED SO GOOD) could serve as a great transition into a sequel even though i'm a little ??? why jb even appeared there at the end because it kind of ruins the storyline doesn't it? lmfao idk all i know is i want more

i guess overall the story was pretty flat, just some mindless entertainment!! i thought the girl was super duper cute and she did really well acting out her role as well, especially towards the end. jb was embarrassing lmfao I'M SORRY but he had so many scenes where i just had to pause the video and take a breath. i'm really bad with secondhand embarrassment lmfao. and fuck him, he didn't even have the guts to kiss her for real ladfhakdfgdf i'm just kidding but some of that stuff was really cringey!! sadly the other boys were nowhere near as developed as they could have been character-wise. i feel like they dragged out the story too much in the beginning and then didn't really have enough time to explore everything at the end. but still you know i'm glad i watched it because now i can enjoy it even more when someone brings up dream knight to got7! :^)

also that intro is like one of the best things i've ever seen!! hahahahah

You touched upon so many aspects that I remember thinking also after watching it! I don't remember exactly how the plot progressed but I remember it being kinda "lighthearted"(?) but nothing special and like your average-at-most webdrama and I wasn't super into it (only watching bc it was got7 lol), but then it suddenly turned kinda... dark?? towards the end and it peaked my interest, and Jinyoung really got to shine! I agree tho that the rest of the cast was left a little one-dimensional so they were even more over-shadowed by Jinyoung's character's whole backstory. I feel like Jinyoung's character really carried most of the show and saved it from being a complete flop lol.

and being surprised and impressed by seeing some... actual emotions in his face rather than the cringy "look at me acting out emotions" idol-acting that I was used to.

I also thought the very end was so dumb lol I was like that doesn't make sense.

Idk why JYPE was so keen on pushing Jaebum as an actor in the beginning, while he may have had interest in acting he definitely lacked the range to portray different emotions and their nuances with believability. Whereas Jinyoung just really commanded the screen and his face is so expressive and I was like WHY DOESN'T THIS GUY HAVE MORE ACTING JOBS?? What a WASTE.

It would be sooo interesting to see them do another webdrama, if not a sequel then just SOMETHING.

Lol now I'm feeling like re-watching DK to see if it's as good/bad I remember it ( god that intro almost made me nope out of the show all-together asdfgh I'm just as bad with second-hand embarrassment as you).

i guess it was a good plot in theory but the way they executed it, especially in terms of pacing was pretty underwhelming! and there were a lof of plot holes that i couldn't simply just overlook because they were so glaring. i definitely agree, overall it was very lighthearted and some comedic moments were indeed pretty funny. i got hooked when it turned kind of dark so i wish they had expanded on that part of the storyline more but by then, we had almost arrived at the last episode! which is why i'm so intrigued by the idea of a sequel because i feel like it would definitely be worth it but also, i understand that got7 want to leave all that in the past. it's just a pity, is all i'm saying heheheh. they all had much more potential to explore in dream knight!!

yep, jinyoung definitely hard carried them all through dream knight lmao! and exactly, i would see those gifs as well and i'd be like, hmmm, maybe i should watch this one day!! because he emotes so well and i'd be like, just what exactly is happening in this story for him to tear up like that? since jb was the character he was acting in direct opposition to, i always thought that scene you linked had something to do with jb but nope, apparently not! the circumstances of that whole storyline are very tragic honestly lmao ;;

i know right! i always feel like jb agreed to accept acting jobs because the company required him to do it so idk. it doesn't seem like acting was ever his forte (or will ever be) and what makes it even worse is that a lot of his acting jobs (if not all?) had him act alongside jinyoung and jinyoung is just SO GOOD that it made jb's lack of acting talent stand out even more. no offense to him though, i love jb but it's just, not everyone is equally qualified for that stuff. and jb knows it too! i think he is very proud of jinyoung's talent for acting and likes to show him off to other ppl but when it comes to himself, he always tries to shush everyone and get them to stop talking about it which i guess i can understand. :')

we seriously need a petition for jype to get jinyoung more acting gigs!! seriously!!

I feel Jinyoung has been pushed more now this year (at least) than before, and an acting role could really bring him to the general public's view more, esp concidering the success he's had with his earlier roles (that JYPE webdrama (that I didn't finish bc ppl stopped subbing it) he was in was kind of a joke, even if we did get a lot of cute!Jinyoung and a heart-fluttering kiss scene for him finally,

but I feel like putting him in some cheesy webdrama again just undermines his potential, which just makes me wish he'd get more serious roles in dramas because it's so clear he has the RANGE to do a lot of things. I ofc understand got7 is keeping him super busy most of the time but I hope what his career has given us so far won't be all it is. Ugh, I could rant about actor!Park for forever lol.

Now tho (*my attempt to steer us somewhat back onto topic lol*) got7 has been on the rise and most of the members have all shown insterests in things beyond music, so maybe at some point they'll be given time/opportunities to indulge those interests and Jinyoung can take some acting role again to further bring got7 into the public's awareness.

lmao wait, i suddenly don't remember anymore what got7 even did this year before they went on tour! oh right they released eyes on you lhsdfghgkfdfg BUT YES ever since their flight log trilogy he definitely has been pushed as a kind of center and even though i know he's happier when every member gets to shine in their mvs like look, the joke is still on him because even in look, he has that center feel lmfao. i think in terms of individual popularity, verse 2 era has done a lot for jinyoung and jb and while i do believe they were able to carry some of that momentum throughout 7 for 7 and eyes on you, i feel like their next comeback will be a very decisive one which is why i think jype needs to promote, yes, every single one of them but since we're mainly talking about jinyoung, jype needs to invest in his acting career right now!! with him getting the right role in some kind of quality production and their next album doing well (preferably better than eyes on you) on the charts, this could become a very important year for them. i mean don't get me wrong, they already have achieved so much this year but just, you know? in terms of longetivity?

OMG i loved jinyoung in magic school lmfaoooo and actually it's one more example of jinyoung completely blowing my expectations of out the water because he did so well in it even though it was such a dumb simple webdrama!!! i'm not gonna lie that kiss had me feeling some kinda way (jb could learn a thing or two from him!!!) lmfao but also his romantic interest (sorry i forgot her name) was sooooooooo cute!! i loved her in magic school too

but yes, he needs more serious roles! as in, roles that can be taken more seriously. when he was announced for legend of the blue sea i was so excited until they said he was gonna play the younger version of that other guy there lmfao ... like just give him something substantial!!! BUT EVEN THEN he was really good in it. god what CAN'T he do i swear to god

idk what his current stance regarding taking any acting jobs is right now but i really hope he won't make us wait for too long for another acting project. he is indeed very busy but like i said, with the right role, he could do so much to further his career as a musician as well!

I really do hope we don't have to wait too long for his next acting job. It's the same old rant fans (well, some fans, like me lol) keep repeating about how much potential this group (and on the topic of Jinyoung whose so freaking multitalented, HE) has and if JYPE really knows that and knows how to properly take advantage of it. We'll just have to wait and see.

oh same! i was so adamant about watching his drama but i remember naver wouldn't let me because of regional restrictions and for some reason there was no one that really subbed it and uploaded it somewhere so idk how i even watched it but it was still very interesting and fun! and it's the kind of role i would love to see him play more often, like a normal student living with his parents kind of stuff. i think he too has said he wants to do more of that. his lil magic tricks were so cute :( that was such a good time lmfao! and now he's out here doing his eyeball trick on national tv in the us lkshdfghdfkg
