Park Bo Gum has been accused of promoting cult. The 24-year-old actor recently took to his Twitter account to post an advertisement for a prayer meeting at his church, Jesus Centered Church. "#PrayForKorea. Prayer Assembly for the Peace of Our Nation and Country. The Seoul City Hall Square at 3pm on Oct. 2nd, 2017," read the tweet along with a pic of the ad.

The church Bo-gum attends has been accused & known for their belief of curing the sick through an exorcism from the priest. They've been also involved in the death of a woman back in 2000 who was found dead with several broken bones and bruises at the conference led by the church’s pastor (she apparently attended the service to be cured of her illness). Their website is sketchy af

A new teaser for This Life Is Our First has been released, showing a tense negotiation table between Lee Min-ki and Jung So-min. Lee Min-ki is the house-poor homeowner, who wants to rent out a room to help pay for his mortgage, while Jung So-min is a prospective renter. Well at this point, she’s homeless because she’s too poor to afford regular housing.

The teaser shows them at a table with cards in hand, as they try to guess what the other has. Right away, Jung So-min realizes that Lee Min-ki’s under a lot of debt because he bought the house, which technically is more the bank’s property since there’s still decades left on his mortgage. Then, Lee Min-ki sends a card her way: “Taking out the trash and recycling.” She agrees, and she makes her play: “No down payment on the rent.” Countering her, he demands that she take care of his cat, to which she agrees. Her final condition is that she can move in right away.

He stands up angrily at that, and for a moment Jung So-min’s eyes grow wide as she thinks the contract might not be happening. But then, Lee Min-ki extends his hand and tells her that because she’s not his style, she’s passed his inspection. She quickly grabs his hands, telling him that he’s not her style either, and they both look at the camera as they shake on their agreement. We’ll see how long that un-attraction lasts once they become housemates, shall we?

There's so much about this set up that I like, from the actors involved to the cohabitation plot to the cat featuring heavily in the marketing for it. Will you be watching?

Today was the second day of filming for The Unit, which started over 3 hours later than originally scheduled and ended at 2am (supposed to end at 5pm).

According to rumours former T-ara member Ahreum got the highest amount of votes out of all the contestants yesterday. Slay girl!

No specific groups mentioned, but a group had all members eliminated, a group lost all but 1 member. It sounds like Boyfriend finally was able to do their audition at 1am and they were super tired, but still listened well. Standards for passing (likely from mentors) seems to have gotten higher from Day 1, but there's still a lot who passed to round 2. Lots of the Audience members who attended Day 2 weren't pressing the pass button on their remotes. Taemin was crying again during auditions today, this attendee says it was one of the times he cried the most.

Below are already confirmed nugus that showed up today plus new ones.

Making it to the top of the Korean pop music charts demands no small amount of blood, tears, and sweat — and even more to break beyond it. Few current groups know it as well as the boys of BTS, the young septet who this week became the highest-ranked K-pop act ever on the Billboard 200 chart, as well as only one to rise into its top ten and to appear on both the Billboard 200 and the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. Their success marks one more step in a long campaign in the Korean pop music industry, and the Korean entertainment industry as a whole, to cultivate a robust fan base as far beyond the borders of South Korea as possible. But how far, K-pop observers have long wondered, can this unabashedly glossy, visually oriented, and aggressively young music really go?

Bighit is also conducting a fan survey in multiple languages, similar to the one JYP did a while ago. Now's your chance to tell BangPD to give Jin more lines!

None of this article is really anything new to anyone who knows anything about kpop but I just never thought I'd see the day that NPR covered Bangtan's meteoric rise to stardom

They try to explain the following words:
- Bias (= your favorite member of a K-Pop group)
- Visual (= the member who is considered the most attractive by the ideal set of beauty standards)
- Hi-Touch (= a fan service or contest where the winners line up to give various K-Pop idols a high-five)
- Trash (= when you have an unhealthy obsession with a particular group or celebrity and you acknowledge it)
