Actor Kim Soo Hyun was recently named the number one “New Hallyu Star,” according to an episode of tvN’s “The List.”
Kim Soo Hyun rose in popularity three years ago through the drama “My Love From Another Star,” where he played the alien character Do Min Joon. The drama became extremely popular in China, with one Chinese video site setting a record with 20 billion views.

As some of y'all may know, The Legend are currently in the middle of a lawsuit against their company for things such as not only refusing to pay the members, but refusing to pay their dorm's utility bills, leaving them without things like electricity, etc. Jaehyuk recently opened up (aka dragged their company for filth) on his Instagram. He has since deleted the posts and replaced them with one that's a bit more diplomatic, but the original was screencapped and translated by fans (original screencaps can be seen at the source).

They deserve so much better than this. What a terrible, terrible situation - especially since the members are older and likely won't be able to debut again as idols should the group truly disband. I get why Jaehyuk had to delete what he posted but I'm glad he let it all out. More people need to know that stuff like this happens. They've basically been swindled by their own CEO (kind of reminds me of what happened with Block B to be honest).

GFriend continues setting records as they become the girl group with the highest number of Music Show win trophies within the same year.
On the July 31st broadcast of SBS Inkigayo, GFriend won the July fourth week's trophy being their eighth music show win (for Navillera). They also showed their growing popularity as they were able to win that day even though they were not able to perform live as they flew to Los Angeles, California for KCON.
GFriend stated "We are very much thankful to all Buddies who've given us so much love. We are so happy and thankful when we received the news that we won on Inkigayo. We also want to personally give thanks all the fans who've supported and listened to Navillera."
With Navillera winning eighth trophies it is hereby announced that GFriend is the new record- as the girl group with the most wins this year 2016. Specially when they snatched a total of 15 trophies for their title song Rough this year as well. Adding these up, GFriend holds a record of a total of 23 music show wins in just seven months.
GFriend set a new record with this achievement as the previous record-holder is Girl's Generation with a total of 22 wins in the year 2010. Following them is APink with a total of 21 wins in the year 2014 and Girl's Generation again with a total of 21 wins in the year 2015.

Kim Woo Bin said, “I apologize for coming to you so late. In this precious time, when everyone is seeing me as Shin Joon Young, I wanted to leave a message under the title ‘This is Shin Joon Young,’ but leaving one now, as the drama passes the halfway mark, I’m embarrassed.”
The actor then expressed concern at possibly having disappointed fans: “Everyone must have waited a long time for a new drama, and looked forward [to ‘Uncontrollably Fond’] all the more for the wait, but I’m worried that I wasn’t able to meet expectations. On one hand I’m sorry about not being able to show a bright and cheerful character.”
Looking back on the role, Kim Woo Bin said, “I learned a lot of different emotions through the character Shin Joon Young, and it was a valuable time during which I was able to reflect on a lot of things.”
He said, “I wanted to gift everyone with those precious emotions and thoughts that I had, and with warmth. I dare to call it a ‘present,’ but I hope that when you are watching the final episode, you will have felt at least a little of what I intended.”
Closing, Kim Woo Bin thanked fans for always loving him despite his shortcomings, and encouraged everyone not to be oppressed by the heavy heat.
Kim Woo Bin is currently filming for a new film titled “Master” alongside a heavyweight cast, including Lee Byung Hun, Kang Dong Won, Oh Dal Soo, and Uhm Ji Won.
