The trailer was released at a recent Youku conference in China. The drama will air simultaneously in South Korea (SBS), China (Youku), and Japan starting August 29! Filming is expected to wrap up by end of this month. Scarlet Heart is a remake of the Chinese classic Bu Bu Jing Xin.

Let’s Eat spinoff Drinking Solo lines up its drinkers

The Let’s Eat drinking spinoff series Drinking Solo is headed to tvN on Mondays and Tuesdays this fall, and casting is underway for the drama that’ll center around drinking (of course) and the Noryangjin neighborhood of Seoul, home to gazillions of academies and gosiwons all filled to the brim with students. The Pro League of Legends X K-Pop post no one asked for, but I made anyway

Has everyone heard of League of Legends (commonly known as LOL), Korea's most popular video game and one of the most popular video games in the world? More likely than not, you've seen some of your favorite idols mentioning the game or playing it, such as EXO's Baekhyun in EXO's V App, all of FT Island, Super Junior's Heechul, etc. If any idol mentions "playing PC games" or "that popular game" or "playing games with my friends", they're probably talking about League of Legends.

So we know that the K-pop community is aware of League of Legends, but did you know that the LOL community is aware of K-pop?? For those who are wondering what I mean by the LOL community, I'm not just talking about people who play the game; I'm talking about the pros who get paid (reportedly) 300K+ a year to play and make an entire career out of it. In fact, professional League of Legends has featured K-pop many times. Here are some clips of the professional gaming world of LOL colliding with K-pop. There will be a brief primer in front of each clip to give context. Prepare for cringe and some major lolz (pun intended... so, so intended. please laugh)

Here, celebrities such as Super Junior's Heechul are facing off against SKT Telecom 1, widely considered the best professional LOL team in the world. They won the World Championships twice. Faker, aka Lee Sanghyuk, is acknowledged as the best LOL player ever and is commonly called a god.

ROX Tigers, formerly KOO Tigers, formerly GE Tigers, formerly HUYA Tigers, are currently considered the second best team in the Korean league. They were also the runner-ups at Worlds 2015, and their top laner, Smeb, calls himself the group's visual.

The Demacia Cup is a tournament held in China every year, and in 2015, they invited T-Ara to come and perform. In case anyone is wondering (which they probably arent haha), Edward Gaming took home the final trophy in this particular tournament (EDG! EDG! EDG!)

We all know what Show Me the Money is, so here's the cringey parody that the Korean league decided to make. These are the two final teams in the 2014 Summer Finals. Samsung Blue, the first team to go, has unfortunately disbanded with its members scattered to different parts of China and Europe. Deft, the first person to "rap" has the nickname "alpaca" by fans because of his resemblance to the furry creature.

As mentioned before, Faker is amazing and godly and perfect, etc., so he's the biggest superstar in SKT T1, making him the... you guess it, "Hot Issue"!

This is a parody of the variety show, The Genius, which tested multiple people's smarts and wits. While only 5 players can play at a time, some teams like SKT T1 keep substitutes in case of injury to one of their starters or other circumstances. Bengi and Faker are the normal starters while Tom and Easyhoon as the subs. Easyhoon's nickname is Emperor, and Faker's nickname is god, so...

The Rift is the name for the arena where the game actually takes place. In case you doubted how much the ROX Tigers (known as KOO at the time) love Big Bang, here they are singing one of the songs during a serious match (skip to 00:26).

While pro LOL does have seasons, they are commonly referred to as "splits", and if the regional leagues (in this case, Korea) have enough money, they can do fancy opening videos like this.

There we have it! Hope you enjoyed the post, for those who were vaguely interested enough to get through some of it. From my personal experience watching pros stream, I've heard Twice, EXO, AKMU, and many other K-pop groups played.

Previously, boy group EXO held the record with their winter album "Sing For You" but they didn't expect the rise of newly turned dark group SLAYXO, who with almost 400k copies sold in only two days and no mercy whatsoever with an already weakend group snatched the title from EXO's cold and dead fingers.
