omonatheydidThe trailer was released at a recent Youku conference in China. The drama will air simultaneously in South Korea (SBS), China (Youku), and Japan starting August 29! Filming is expected to wrap up by end of this month. Scarlet Heart is a remake of the Chinese classic Bu Bu Jing Xin.

A: "It was our first time hearing IU say she’s tired."
After preparing the outdoor dining area, we sat quietly, waiting for IU to arrive, but when she arrived, everyone was near tears, as we had never seen IU look so tired and our hearts ached for her.
When she first came out, she wasn't wearing her hood, did not have makeup on and was swaying slightly as she walked. She didn't hear us the first two times we called out to her. When she finally heard us and turned around to wave to us, everyone was shocked as we had never seen IU look so fatigued with dark circles under her eyes. If you saw her then, you would have started crying too.
After greeting us, she went into the waiting room to do her makeup. As she was doing her makeup, SW (one of the fans) asked her, "Are you very tired?" She answered, "Yes, we filmed through the night yesterday, so I’m very tired." SW replied, "You should eat more later on then." IU replied, "Neh, kamsahamnida (ok, thank you). I’ll go out to greet everyone after I’m done with my makeup."
So you guys MUST remember to watch the drama 'Moon Lovers' on August 29th! IU after she had her makeup done! Seeing the light purple decorations, she was really happy! She took out her handphone and kept taking photos, while looking really sweet.
B: “She remembers every performance she had in China last year.”
IU hurried into the waiting room to prepare for her afternoon filming schedule, but on her way there, she saw the presents we put on display and SW told her that the presents there were for her, so she stopped to take a look at the presents.
She first looked at the framed pictures on display and said they were really pretty. Then, she saw the photobook specially prepared by Eunknight and SW flipped through the book to show her. IU looked carefully at every page and said, "This was in Shanghai", "This was in Hong Kong", "This was in Beijing", she remembered where every photo was taken. She even asked us whether we made the photobook by ourselves and commented that it was amazing! IU looked through carefully from the first to the last page and kept exclaiming that it was awesome.
C. "IU is super adorable."
After she had her hair and makeup done, she really looked like a doll as she rushed off for her afternoon filming schedule. She looks really pretty in her costume, so everyone do look forward to the ‘Moon Lovers’ drama broadcast!
Then Loen staff came over to tell us that IU had to go and film, so she would be back to give us autographs at about 2:30pm and told us to wait for awhile. Since she was dressed in her costume with her hair accessories on, we were told that we couldn’t take any photos.
So we waited and waited…..
After IU was done filming, Loen staff told us to go over. By that time, IU was outside her van and had already finished changing. Her costume would have taken quite some time to take off and remove the accessories, but IU was already changed and ready to meet us, so that we could take photos. It was super nice of her.
Cuteness overload warning!!!
IU took the paper from us, ready to give us her autograph. Perhaps since she’s been practising her Chinese songs lately, she wanted to sign for the 3 fanclubs in pinyin (Chinese pronunciation). We were worried that it would be too difficult for her, so we said it’s fine, she can sign in Korean, but cute Jieuni insisted on signing in pinyin. So…. she started signing in pinyin which we all couldn’t understand (ROFL!) When signing for Eunknight, Jieun wrote 'xingku', so SW asked her what she was writing and explained to her in Korean what she just wrote. IU said that wasn’t what she meant and started laughing. So we asked her what she wanted to write and after she explained herself, we realised it was totally different from what she wrote, hahaha, she was totally adorable.
Then she kept editing what she wrote and when signing for PeachwithU halfway, she forgot what she wanted to write, so she went back into her van and flipped her book, then came back to continue writing, but she still wrote wrongly. Seeing how serious she was about learning Chinese, we didn't want to make things difficult for her and didn't correct her mistake.
During the autograph session, we were overwhelmed by her cuteness and she herself thought it was amusing too.
After that, SW asked her whether she could greet her Chinese fans and that everyone missed IU a lot, so IU used SW's phone to write a message on Weibo and took photos with each of the fans that went down as well as a group photo with everyone.
Initially, seeing that she was in her plain clothes, we thought she was done with filming and asked her if she was going back home, but she replied that she still had to continue filming. So we asked her around what time it would end and she replied that it might last until midnight. Then she left after that and we went off feeling touched and sad at the same time.
So basically, in order to let us take photos, IU changed into plain clothes and then back again, making us so touched that we were on the verge of tears.
