Canada’s National Capital Region to host Hallyu Com-On Dancefest this December!

Following the success of this summer’s K-Pop World Festival 2015 Ottawa Preliminaries, the National Capital Region is wrapping up the year with another big K-pop event! The Hallyu Association of Canada and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Canada, in partnership with KOFICE, will be hosting Hallyu Com-On Dancefest from Thurs., Dec. 17th to Sat., Dec. 19th. This three-day festival will celebrate and promote K-pop, which is Korean pop music, through the art of dance. The festival will kick off with a series of K-pop dance workshops on the 17th and 18th lead by L.A.-based team Aimee Lee Lucas’ MVP Elite and award-winning dance cover team BETTER SWAGG all the way from Seoul, Korea.

The festival will wrap up with the Korean Ambassador’s K-Pop Dance Gala on the evening of the 19th at the Canadian Museum of History. The showcase, which celebrates Canada’s K-pop scene and those who have participated in various K-pop events throughout the year, will feature performances by 14 of Canada’s hottest K-pop dance groups from Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal. The show will also feature exciting performances by our special guests, MVP Elite and BETTER SWAGG.

This is an event that K-pop fans, and fans of dance in general, won’t want to miss!

Admission to both the workshops and gala is free. However, space is limited, so make sure to RSVP for the workshops HERE and get tickets for the gala HERE ASAP!
