btob and red velvet together really made this tho, they're a riot. i was in tears at the segment on the bus, from them changing the seating to changsub forever alone in the corner. ilhoon fangirling over irene and everything was adorable. i'm starting to stan eunkwang so bad and idk anything about them. he's so sweet and fun to watch! i need someone to post a gif of him doing the fly aegyo thing because i was murdered. and omg hyunsik is so pretty! his smile had me dazzled. him and seulgi being so shy together was adorable.

some do and some are already in relationship so they need to keep their s/o private. i remember yoo in na was preparing or filming wgm and at that time her irl bf announced that they were dating right before he enlisted and it was kinda messy.
oh also if you are a 2pm fan victoria & khun did this show too. they got a huge crazy khuntoria fanbase which erupted w/ dating news of tiffany and khun came out early this yr/? or last year. key did this show w/ arisa they were really cute and could communicate b/c key could speak japanese. siwon was on it w/ supermodel liu wen (she's too good for him tbh!!)
they also did this weird season where real life couples were on it : jungeum actress & one of the members of sg wannabe- they have since broken up but yeah its a controversial show b/c it's scripted but some audience go crazy and can't tell the difference or something. shinhwa minwoo & amy dated briefly but that was crazy early season. henry & yewon was on the show this year but it was messy too b/c she got into a scandal and henry is weird. heechul was on it w/ puff kuo (tw singer/actress). I obviously know a lot b/c everytime i'm about to quit it they bring in a cute couple... like joy and sungjae.......
Out of all couples, only 1 become real life couple after the show (Junjin & Lee Siyoung).
The show are scripted thus it is heavily criticized by many people. But I just watch it as watching kdrama with real life people so I enjoy it a lot esp since you can see the real personalities of actors/actresses on the show.
Not sure about other couples but Taemin's fans has been pretty pressed while he's on the show. Why the public seemed to enjoy his virtual marriage with Naeun, his fans not so much. Rumour had it that they has been pretty pressed with the producers of WGM to take him out from the show. :P
LOL fangirls That being said I would be seething if JB was on the show lol. Taemin seems very quiet to me, I know a little more about Key and Jonghyun but not much about him, if I start watching it I guess I'd start with his episodes. Is the scripted stuff too obvious?
I didn't watch all of Taemin's episodes but the best parts for me were episodes when SHINee members appeared as guests and trolled him, lol.
Some people say that Taemin/Naeun's WGM was 'sooo fake' and 'it's obvious they really can't stand each other', etc. but I didn't really see it that way? I think most of it is just because they are both rather awkward and shy, well at least Taemin since I don't know Naeun that much. Awkward is Taemin's middle name, he lets loose a little more when he's around his members or close friends.
The scripted is getting so heavy-handed I stopped watching a while back, but the first season was good. It had less idols and the couples used to watch together live and comment throughout the show. I especially like Crown J and Seo In Young because they were such big/similar personalities and it wasn't scripted. He would try to maintain this strong hip-hop image (with flashy purchases and injected English phrases) but she had such a high-maintenance image she would shut him down. TBH, I really enjoy Taemin's WGM. I guess because he's so quiet all the time so its refreshing to see him try and being cheesy lol (fans can see the new side of him that we didnt see before). People say it was too fake but I cant see it tbh -- like I said, the public like the pairings but not the fans. So the 'fake/can't stand each other' comments mostly comes from pressed fans and I actually try to read their reasoning but I ended up rolling my eyes so much since they are reaching for the stars with their reasoning.
Try it and I bet you will enjoy it too. The first episode was hilarioous since we have Onew said 'he's the happiest when he's filming with fried chickens'. XD
Lol Key was on there? He doesn't seem like he'd be good at playing pretend for long. It seems like something D-list celebs would do tho. I'll definitely check it out but I'm surprised really famous people are on it.
the key/arisa episodes are adorable!! i didn't finish the season but i love them. they get along so well and can communicate in 3 languages while the other half of the show, heechul and puff can't understand each other at all. it's hilarious
that's something i really like about the korean entertainment industry. compared to the american film industry you have a lot of people going back and forth from film to tv shows. and no matter how successful their career is, mostly it's not "beneath" them to do variety shows.

That is the thing with k-entertainment unless you are "top actor " you do whatever program they want you in. I was quiet shocked at first and still somewhat suprised at times because something in my mind was reserved for like you said D-levels like reality shows or some CF like sanitarny pads or digestive medicine but that how SK rolls.
I love Joy. Seriously, she's adorable. Poor Sungjae was so nervous though, aww. Is he always like that? He seems to be easily nervous on WGM Red Velvet and BtoB together is variety gold, I wish those episodes were longer! Also Red Velvet needs their own show. Seulgi was having so much fun playing around. Hopefully they'll have at leats one of these half-holidays half-variety show. Irene's shy self outside stages is forever amusing me Eunkwang was out of control lol and Ilsoon was low key entertaining with his "Irene is smiling!". I'm glad Changsub got to change places, he also changed his behaviour as soon as he had someone next to him to witness his craziness.
I never wanted to enjoy a WGM couple so much, I don't like the concept, but those two are making it really hard. I hope they'll keep some friendly relationship after all this
these two episodes are too cute. I need more RV and BTOB interections, they all look so happy and having fun, these are my kind of shows. All about fun. I know this is scripted and that's why I see it as a k-drama and not "reality", but the proposal was just so freaking adorable and Sungjae looked so nervous and Joy looked so clueless, like she had no idea what the hell was happening around her. I feel like she wants more skinship than she's getting but he's too shy for it. I've the feeling that if they ever kiss (almost every couple on WGM does it) she'll be the first to do it. I think that when this is over they'll be able to keep a friendly relationship because they seem good friends now...hopefully!
