Anticipation for CNBLUE member Jung Yong Hwa’s upcoming solo album is rising as he recently talked about completely taking the reins on producing the kind of music he wants to do.
This past January 1, CEO Han Sung Ho of FNC Entertainment officially announced Jung Yong Hwa’s solo debut and hinted at a bit of the singer’s plans.
In a recent interview for a magazine, the CNBLUE member shared, “Within the band, I’ve always maintained a middle ground, but this time, I’m planning to honestly push in the direction that I want to go in until the end. The end product will include a variety of music. Through this opportunity to work on a [collaboration], I was able to expand my thinking. I feel that I’ve become more certain of what it is that I like, as I experienced diverse styles and received influence.”
Meanwhile, Jung Yong Hwa is currently in the final stages of preparation for his solo debut later this month.

With exactly one more week left to his solo debut, Jonghyun reveals several pieces of new information for his upcoming first mini-album, announcing the title track’s name, revealing a new teaser image, as well as unveiling the third feature artist!
In Jonghyun’s ninth jacket image, a light lits up Jonghyun’s face, while two white lasers create a triangle in the background.
The SHINee member has also invited hip-hop rapper IRON to feature in his debut album. The rapper received much attention with his performance on Mnet’s survival show Show Me The Money 3.
Earlier, Younha and Wheesung were announced as the first two feature artists in Jonghyun’s album, with one more artist yet to be revealed.
Jonghyun’s first mini-album BASE is scheduled for a January 12th release.
Before the release, Jonghyun is also expected to drop a teaser video for “Crazy” on January 5th, hold a showcase on the 8th, and kickstart his solo promotions on music shows including KBS Music Bank on the 9th, MBC Music Core on the 10th, and SBS Inkigayo on the 11th.

SHINee's Jonghyun will be holding his very first showcase on January 8th, where performances of his new songs will be revealed.
On the evening of January 8th at 19:00 (KST), the showcase entitled 'BASE of JONGHYUN', will be held at the SMTown Coex Atrium in Samseongdong, Seoul, and it is expected to receive a warm and positive response from music fans.
Jonghyun will bring live performances of the new songs that many are curious about, and he also plans to tell the many stories that happened in the process of making the album. All of this will display Jonghyun's transformation into a solo artist with a unique musical charm and color.
Additionally, special invitations will be handed out to fans during the showcase to attend an information session on Jonghyun's first solo album. Information on how to participate in will be announced on Jonghyun's homepage.
Also, the reveal of the collaborative musicians for this album started sequentially from January 3rd on the homepage. On the 4th, Jonghyun revealed the next musician to be Wheesung. Wheesung wrote the lyrics for a track in the album, and the written track will showcase their fantastic teamwork. With this piece of news, expectations for the album have been amplified greatly.
Jonghyun's first mini album 'BASE' will be released on the 12th.
