2AM’s Im Seulong Cast in “Hogu’s Love” with After School’s UEE and Choi Woo Shik

2AM’s Im Seulong has been confirmed and cast in “Hogu’s Love,” an upcoming tvN drama starring After School’s UEE and Choi Woo Shik. The three actors along with Lee Soo Kyung have been confirmed as the main four actors in the show.

tvN’s upcoming drama Hogu’s Love is a romantic comedy about Kang Hogu (Choi Woo Shik), who has no experience in dating at all, reuniting with his first love and the national swimming team’s goddess Do Do Hee (Uee) and getting involved in a complicated relationship and dangerous friendship.

Im Seulong will be acting as lawyer ‘Byun Kang Chul,’ who has never experienced failure in his life. As a member of 2AM, Im Seulong has expanded his activities to dramas and movies, receiving recognition for his acting ability.

Im Seulong will play Byun Kang Chul,who is an ace lawyer who grew up in the top 1 percent of Korea and who has never known defeat. Everything he does works out well and he seems like he’s a perfect man. Unlike Hogu, who has never had a girlfriend and has no dating skills, Byun Kang Chul has been superior since birth to the point where he doesn’t need dating skills. However in reality, he is sloppier than Hogu and will be catching the hearts of the female viewers with his charms.

SS501’s Park Jung Min was previously cast in the role but had to pull out due to an injury.

An affiliate of tvN stated, “With Im Seulong joining, the four main cast members, including Uee, Choi Woo Shik and Lee Soo Kyung, have been confirmed. Hogu’s Love is a romance drama about Korea’s representative ‘hogu’ (pushover), who always gets pushed and tricked, named Kang Hogu, the national swimming team’s goddess Do Do Hee, the ace lawyer Byun Kang Chul and the expert of ‘push and pull’ Kang Ho Su. It will be a cheerful and comical drama with unique characters, so we ask for your anticipation.”

Meanwhile, Hogu’s Love will be directed by director Pyo Min Su, who worked on KBS’ Iris2, Full House, The World That They Live In and more, and written by writer Yoon Nan Joong, who wrote the scripts of Flower Boy Ramen Shop, Queen of the Office and more.

Hogu’s Love is based on a webtoon with the same title by writer Yoo Hyun Sook, who also wrote the original webtoon series of tvN’s Flower Boys Next Door.

The drama is set to begin on February 9 at 11 p.m. (KST) after “Valid Love” finishes its run.

I'm really pleased with the change, as I wasn't very into Park Jung Min and his acting, and I adore Seulong, plus he is way better looking imo. And the fact that he is friends with Uee makes me look forward to the bts videos, which I bet will be very fun.

Awwwww I'm so glad Woo Shik is getting to work with someone of JYP, he has few interactions with his labelmates and I love Seulong oppa, can't wait to watch the BTS :D
