Group VIXX has been chosen as models for a global watch brand.

On the 12th, agency Jellyfish Entertainment revealed, “On the 10th, VIXX signed a contract and became models for a Swiss global watch brand JOWISSA.”

VIXX, who are currently promoting their new song “hyde”, received many love calls from the advertising industry through their intense yet distinctive concept and gentle visuals. It is unusual that a rookie idol group has been chosen for a global advertisement.

At the same time as VIXX being chosen as models for JOWISSA, they’re also receiving attention for the launching of the ‘VIXX Black Edition’, with the starting price at millions in KRW. The ‘VIXX Black Edition’ was produced especially only for the six members of VIXX and comes in six different colors.

‘VIXX Black Edition’ posters will be hung in all Swiss JOWISSA stores, so all domestic and of course international fans can anticipate as one.

Meanwhile VIXX are working hard promoting their new song ‘hyde’ in music programs, and are emerging as the new blue chip of the advertising industry with being chosen to model a global watch brand.

Now that SISTAR has a firm grasp in Korea, it looks like they may start to look to expand and promote beyond. And they're not just looking at the usual countries such as Japan, China, and other Asian countries. It appears they want to expand into the Americas as well.

SISTAR's label, Starship Entertainment, said, "SISTAR's promotions overseas will happen gradually, step by step. We have received numerous love calls. We have offers from the United States, South American countries, and other Asian entities as well. We're currently reviewing and looking into these markets."

SM Entertainment's plans for 2nd half of 2013, f(x) to comeback soon?

SM Entertainment hasn't been fazed at all when their quarterly earnings fell short of last year's, because they have a lot to look forward to.

Back then, the label had said, "There are various big concerts that will be factored in the 2nd quarter, such as Girls' Generation's Japanese tour, TVXQ's Japanese Dome tour, and SM Town Live. EXO is also going to start promoting actively in Korea and China. The artists' various promotions will spring on a new momentum."

But it looks like concerts won't be the end of it! An analyst from Korea Investment Holdings hinted at some of SM Entertainment's plans for the 2nd half of 2013. He stated, "f(x) is going to release their full album in June or July. SHINee is also planning a mini album scheduled to be released in the second half of the year. There's also a possibility that a new artist will debut in the second half of the year as well."

This along with the rumors of a potential TaeTiSeo comeback should excite SM Entertainment fans for the rest of 2013!

AOA's Seolhyun has been receiving great reviews for her portrayal of 'Gong Na Ri' on SBS' 'Ugly Alert'.

Seolhyun plays an aspiring actress in the daily drama, and she's being noticed for how she handles the childish, immature maknae character. She previously appeared in 'My Daughter Seoyoung' as an acting tutor, and this only adds to her promising acting career.

She commented, "The director has been encouraging me by saying I'm the perfect person to play the character, so I'm continuing to give my best to meet expectations," adding, "The AOA members are surprised by the change in my personality. Everyone around me is shocked at how much I've gotten into character."

'Ugly Alert' is currently the most popular daily drama, and it looks like it's not slowing down anytime soon.

One of our TV stations has a new tv show called The Truth Is... with Hamish McDonald, in it he does reasonably indepth reports (given the 25 minute time frame) on many and varied subjects, the episode just gone was about K-Pop, and the Asian Century and the Hallyu wave and a few other things, in it he follows EVOL as they film their MV, we see LUNAFLY doing some busking, he talks to the guys from EYK, visits a plastic surgeon, the obligatory Psy mention.

Korea’s beer brand Cass is releasing its new advertising in which they casted actors Kim Woo bin and Lee Jong suk as models on June 15th. The new advertising ‘Cass in Island’ covered stories of the two stars enjoying a vacation in an exotic place.

The advertising was shot at a beach in Rayong province, Thailand. In the advertising, the two stars are jumping on blob jump which is an extreme leisure sports. This blob jump makes one person bound in the air when another person jumps on an air mat in water. Kim Woo bin jumps without noticing Lee Jong suk and Lee flys very high in the air.

This 15 second advertising will appeal the brand aims ‘healthy youth’ by Kim and Lee’s perfect act. The staffs of the brand were very satisfied that these two young icons expressed the concept of the brand more than they asked for. Then the staffs added that they will continue more marketing activities to communicate with young generation. (photo by Cass)

The production team of SBS TV Wed-Thu drama ‘I Hear Your Voice’ has released a new set of photos featuring Lee Jong Suk and Lee Bo Young on a date by the utility pole.

The photos was of a particular scene that will be aired in episode 3 tonight (June 12th). Hye Sung (Lee Bo Young) and Soo Ha (Lee Jong Suk) are seen gazing intently at one another, and left the hearts of those watching to accelerate for them.

The two actually had a big quarrel with one another when they first met. But to assist Sung Bin (Kim Ga Eun) in her case, the two decided to work together. To prove Ga Eun’s innocence, viewers are anticipating to see the close collaboration between Hye Sung and Soo Ha, and how it would have a bearing on their future relationship.

A drama representative said, “The relationship between the two will grow even closer through this week’s episodes. Besides Ga Eun’s case, Hye Sung and Soo Ha will also come face to face with a new challenge, so please wait in anticipation for the collaboration between them.

Meanwhile in the previous episode, Hye Sung meets Do Yeon (Lee Da Hee) once again after the latter had caused her to leave school 10 years ago due to a firecracker incident, and creates more tension in the drama. Episode 3 will be aired tonight at 10PM (KST).
