SHINee plans to release a new mini album in the second half of 2013

It looks like flaming charisma Minho really meant it when he said that SHINee will be "promoting in Korea so much the audience will get sick of them"!

On the morning of June 12th, a news article on Nate about TVXQ's Japanese tour contained information about the plans SM Entertainment has for their artists for the rest of the year. One of the reveals was about SHINee's 5th mini album that has been planned for release in the later half of the year.

As fake articles are so easily circulated around the internet, a fan in Korea took the initiative to call up SM Entertainment's office. A staff member confirmed the authenticity of the news article, and also confirmed that the plans mentioned are in accordance with what the company has currently.

With two wildly successful album releases in first half of 2013, one can only imagine what SHINee has in store for us!

Fans were hoping/cautiously predicting this but yay, it's actually happening! I hope SM utilizes the same judgement they showed when they chose Trap as Henry's title track. After the success of Dream Girl another mainstream radio-friendly song would be really beneficial.

SHINee's albums had a great reception so I guess sm's finally following through and not scheduling a comeback 2yrs later.
Personally, i've still not got my head around the two installments of Misconceptions, then there's "boys meet u" :I but w.e they always make great music, never enough imo. I just hoped they had sufficient time to promote the mini but w. JAT spread throughout the year i'm worried it'd be the sherlock 2:0

i really hope this comeback is good. I initially was hoping a lot from the dream girl comeback and was a tad disappointed with the song and dance. I though that the next album comeback would be stronger in comparison.
But then SM made them do WSS which was pretty meh.
Now that they have this comeback, hopefully they will do a fresh concept that hasnt been done before with good choreography

I was kinda dissapointed in DG too because I was totally expecting an indie-esque MV. The song and the dance are just good imo. Not ~outstanding~ but pretty nice.
WSS was a hot mess but I kinda ended up liking it. The rock sound is interesting idk.
Anyway, I don't think the song being bad has anything to do with slaying. Just look at WYN or IGAB. Those songs are even worse than WSS amd they've slayed.

SM choosing WSS kinda wasted all of Shinee's efforts in the WSS promotion period. It doesn't matter how hard they promote if the song is not that good. Hopefully SM would have learnt something. im positive they will do something different than WSS seeing that it didn't even get 1 win on the music show.
tbh, groups like 2pm, Mblaq, b2st are all going for a chill mature sound in their comebacks. Hopefully shinee will do something similar.
I was actually listening to see-saw from their Japanese album and was thinking how awesome it would be if they release a korean version of that song. :3 It their best Japanese song imo...

Yessss can't say no to more shinee. They used to promote twice a year in their earlier years aka pre-lucifer but yeah they don't have much solo activities (acting, emcee gigs etc) and they definitely don't have concert tours back in the days so I really hope they don't get worn out :/

I'm still hoping for shinee to go on RM though. All of them or other than minho or minho and someone else if not all. But I have this feeling that other than minho no one else wants to get all worked up voluntarily lol
