*Note : giving (putting) puffs on someone's shoulders -- it is quite Korean way of thinking and expression, meaning "to give(put) someone much pride and confidence." when someone has so much pride and confidence in himself his posture would be straight up and shoulders are high as if there are big puffs on the shoulder of his jacket

G-Dragon to Debut New Single through Lady Gaga's Stylist's Show

Group Big Bang's G-Dragon on top star Lady Gaga stylist's show, will release a new song.

YG Entertainment's official who on the afternoon of the 15th, called OSEN and said via telephone call " On the 16th, G-Dragon will come to Lady Gaga's stylist's Nicola Formichetti's show and unveil a new single."

This morning on Nicola Formichetti's own twitter, he said "Coolest Asian dragon is making music for my show on Wednesday", revealing it.

In this post Nicola Formichetti and G-Dragon's charisma is overflowing in the photo, bringing great interest to fans. Now Nicola's twitter/SNS has received over 1,500 comments from abroad, commenting things like "exciting" and "I am really looking forward to it!".

The YG official commented "This morning, G-Dragon will depart for the awards show in Malaysia." And added, " So the schedule for Nicola's show has yet to be released."

Meanwhile on March 30th and 31st, G-Dragon is scheduled to hold his World Tour concerts in Seoul.

I was too lazy this morning but the article is unclear about certain things.
Nicola Formichetti is Mugler's creative director and it's very likely that the song will be used for his fashion show in Paris, so no actual GD I guess.

Upcoming idol band 'Iconize' releases album jacket photo

Rookie idol band Iconize recently conducted a photo shoot for their album jacket ahead of their debut, making it clear that their debut is not far off!

The pre-released photo shows the 5-member group holding up their colorful guitars. As mentioned before, the band features lead guitarist Kim Hyun, guitarist Jung Young Bin, drummer Jung Hoon, bass guitarist Cha Bum Jin, and vocalist Lee Du Ryeot. It has been revealed that all of the members are still currently in high school and their average age is 18.

Iconize also achieved a rare feat for rookie groups by being selected as the endorsement models for teenage fashion brand ‘INTERCREW‘ ahead of their debut, further increasing the anticipation for their upcoming debut.

B1A4 naver interview "From 'Paper-dols' to Super Rookies with 130000 Fans"

If you were to decide a singer’s popularity on the age group of their fans, B1A4 (Jinyoung, Baro, Sandeul, CNU, and Gongchan) have made a definite standing in the 10’s~20’s age group, which is the average age for fans of idol groups. 

Since they aren’t ‘national’ singers that people will know of if you just mention their name, their popularity among the public may be low, but their growth levels can definitely be felt.

The member amount for their fancafe has passed 130,000 people, and they sold 8000 tickets in 5 minutes for their first solo concert, which took place at the Olympic Park SK Olympic Handball Stadium last month.

PSY To Begin Promoting "Gangnam Style" In South America

After months of promoting "Gangnam Style" in Asia, North America and Europe, PSY's next stop on his global campaign will be South America.

While the song may have been released last July, "Gangnam Style" is apparently experiencing a delayed reaction in South America as he receives calls to perform in the region. "There has been a delayed response from South America, so it looks like I'll have to promote more," the rapper stated.

PSY has been invited to participate in a carnival in Brazil in February, prompting the rapper to decide to do some promotions in South America. "I could sing 'Oppa Samba Style' at the festival," PSY joked.

PSY, who has been promoting "Gangnam Style" since July of 2012, originally planned on ending promotions for the song after his New Years Eve performance, but due to continued interest in the song will continue his promotions while at the same time working on his next album.

Vixx Decides to Discard Albums Over Jacket Image Complaints

Vixx has decided to discard the group’s third single album over issues with its jacket image.

Vixx previously released its new teasers for its upcoming third single album, On and On last week under the concept of ‘wild animal’.

However, reaction to the teasers from fans proved negative, as many commented the concept was "bizarre" and bordered on terrifying.

Vixx′s agency ended up receiving so many complaint calls from fans that regular operations were disrupted.

Eventually Jellyfish Entertainment decided to listen to the complaints, and made the choice to discard the produced albums and reprint new albums with a new image.

The agency added despite the time issues, it would still release a high quality album for fans with no delays in the album’s release or Vixx’s comeback was anticipated.

Vixx’s new single album is set to drop online and offline on January 17.

Big Bang to focus on solo activities after their world tour ends

After Big Bang finishes their world tour, the members will be shifting their focus to promoting solo activities.

The five members will be finishing up their world tour in Seoul from the 25th to the 27th. After the finale, the members will be promoting under their own individual names and not under the name of Big Bang.

G-Dragon will be going on a solo world tour, and will even be having a 3-dome tour in Japan for the first time as a Korean solo artist. He is also planning to release a new song within the first half of the year.

Never Mind releases Shooting Star MV Teaser

Another rookie band will be joining the 2013 line-up as Never Mind was revealed to be releasing their debut single later this week.

Consisting of four members; One, Hoon, Changha, and Ino, Never Mind takes on a pop punk sound not seen in the current Korean mainstream scene. Their video teaser goes along the same lines with fresh colors and a happy feeling.

Though more information on the idol band and release wasn't revealed, Never Mind will be releasing their first single "Shooting Star" on January 17th. The full music video for the song will be revealed at the same time.

To say the least, it’s clear that Girls’ Generation didn’t release a song that’s like every other song. There was no girl group before Girls’ Generation with such bitter controversy over one song. Controversies girl groups get caught up in are usually over “suggestive” things: suggestive dancing or outfits that expose too much skin. However, people are talking not about their choreography or outfits, but about Girls’ Generation’s song.

What kind of song is “I Got A Boy” to have people divided into either “liking” or “hating” it?
