The goal for the strike is to change the rules for internal position appointments so that it would take a 2/3rds vote, rather than the current majority vote, to install a new CEO in office.
However, since the 11-member voting council consists of 7 members from the majority party (currently the Saenuri Party) and 4 members from the minority party, the labor union has opined that the current majority-rule system is unfair and flawed.
The union workers affected by the strike include approximately 1,200 staff, including journalists and producers. The union has also reached out to the KBS Labor Union – a separate entity – to include their workers in the strike, as well.
If both labor unions participate in the strike, 4,000 out of 4,700 KBS employees will be on strike, leading to massive problems with programming and broadcast schedules.
This strike follows a couple of months after the first strike, which affected both KBS and MBC.

Band Nell’s Kim Jongwan participated in idol group Infinite’s Kim Sunggyu’s first solo mini-album ‘Another Me’ as a composer and lyricist.
Sunggyu revealed a track from ‘Another Me’ on the 7th called ‘Shine,’ which Kim Jongwan completely wrote, composed, and even arranged.
Kim Sunggyu has openly stated that his musical roots are Nell, and Kim Jongwan was even more than a mentor to him. Kim Jongwan gifted Sunggyu with ‘Shine’ for ‘Another Me.’ Agency Woollim Entertainment stated, “When Kim Jongwan first said he’d give him a song, Sunggyu was unbelievable delighted,” and “Because of that, Sunggyu was more nervous than ever during recording, and made an effort to learn a lot.”
‘Shine’ takes a genre form of hybrid music. Dream-like intro. The synthesizer that is reminiscent of synth pop. This with an electronic beat and rock-style drive guitar. And Kim Sunggyu’s sexy and delicate vocal control come together to show various musical appeals and give joy to the public at once.
Instead of his name Sunggyu as an Infinite member, he will be using his birth name Kim Sunggyu.

Psy will be receiving the Order of Culture Merit award from the South Korean government.
Psy is one of the 10 people who will be receiving this prestigious award along with actors Lee Jung Jin and Cho Min Soo, drama writer Kim Soo Hyun, and director Kim Ki Duk.
The Ministry of Culture & Tourism held a meeting on November 6th and decided to award these 10 individuals. On Psy winning the award, they stated, “Psy is receiving the Order of Culture Merit because he has spread awareness for Korean pop music and increased interest in Korea with “Gangnam Style” that was released back in July 2012. He has more than 600 million views on YouTube and has reached #1 in the UK and #2 on the American Billboard Chart, so his contributions are being noted.”
Psy will be receiving the Ok-gwan Medal (Jeweled Crown) which is rated fourth overall in the class of cultural merit. The official award ceremony will take place on November 19th at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul.

PSY will release his worldwide debut album early next year, around February or March, it was reported on November 7. According to the Yonhap News Agency, PSY said at a press conference in Paris that, “I am planning to release a new worldwide album next February or March.”
He added there will be both a Korean and an English version, as it will mark his official worldwide debut. When asked about his “Gangnam Style” flash mob that took place at the Trocardo Square a few days ago, PSY said, “I saw more than 20,000 fans gather and explode in front of me. It’s my first time to see this many people for a flash mob. It was really emotional.”
He also spoke about his “Gangnam Style” music and its worldwide success, saying, “I usually don’t believe what happens on the Web. I don’t think I’m that popular in France yet. I was really touched by French women singing my song in Korean. Since I’m Korean, I try to keep (my songs) in Korean.”
Meanwhile, PSY is scheduled to head to the UK on November 7 and give a special lecture to students at Oxford University.

President Barack Obama was finally asked about PSY's "Gangnam Style" this morning, disclosing in a radio interview with WZID-FM in New Hampshire that he's only recently caught wind of the craze.
"I just saw that video for the first time… I think I can do that move," he said of the gallop dance that has helped make the South Korean rapper into a household name and a major force on the Billboard charts.
Now, whether Obama plans on trotting around if he wins reelection is another matter. "I'm not sure that the inauguration ball is the appropriate time to break that out," he acknowledged.
"Maybe do it privately for Michelle," he concluded.
Since being uploaded to YouTube in mid-July, the splashy, tongue-in-cheek video for "Gangnam Style" has racked up a staggering 659,970,000 views. It remains the most popular video on YouTube. The song has spent the last six weeks at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and three weeks at No. 1 on Digital Songs.

A spokesperson for the agency said, “UKISS is currently arranging their schedule to hold an exclusive concert in Litchfield, Hampshire, UK.”
“Hallyu has been popular only in Asia so far but now it has spread all over the world through social network services like YouTube. Since U-Kiss members are good at speaking foreign languages and have over 100,000 fans abroad. The group will lead Hallyu in Asia, South America, and Europe.”

“The 3rd Hospital” is Sooyoung’s first drama where she takes a lead role. In the drama, Sooyoung plays the role of Lee Eujin, a viola player who has a crush on Kim Seunghyun, played by Oh Jiho. Through Lee Eujin, viewers can see the many sides of Sooyoung’s acting, from a happy-go-lucky aegyo girl to a mature young woman dealing with her illness. Not only did Sooyoung receive praise for her acting skills from the viewers, but she also received praise from her co-star, Oh Jiho.
“I've actually seen Euijin through the script since last year, so she was very familiar. She was so familiar that I can’t imagine living without her now, but I will try to adjust well. I’m crying.
The first time the director went ‘action’, I panicked, and didn’t know what I was doing, so the first filming was memorable. I think today is the most memorable day for me.
To ‘The 3rd Hospital’ viewers, a lot of effort was put into making this, so thank you for loving it so much. (T/L note: Sooyoung mumbled during the following part) I’m really happy that a great work came out as we’ve put a lot of effort into it. Girl band Brown Eyed Girls will give an adult-only concert this Christmas. The band's agency Nega Network on Tuesday said the concert, titled "Tonight 37.2°C", will be on Dec. 24 and 25 at Central City shopping mall in southwest Seoul.
The title refers to the body temperature reached when making love. It is the first adult-only concert by a girl band in Korea.
The group's four members are to "share their thoughts about love" while dressed in skimpy outfits, a press release promised.
It claims that the show is "art, not pornography."

Son Dam Bi just revealed additional photos from her upcoming album, ‘Dripping Tears’.
The singer has shown a unique and powerful performance as a performer, and she will finally be having a comeback after 2 years with her 4th mini album. Through the newly released photos, she shows that she’s still got that ‘wow’ factor as she shows some skin while striking alluring poses.

One of the recipients was Psy, who replied “Army… is good.. Eat a lot of greasy foods like Chinese food or fried chicken, and sweet things. If you have questions, you can always call me.“ The last portion of the text brought much laughter from the panel and the audience as it is widely known that Psy knows more about military life than the average Korean man as he had to fulfill military service terms twice, rather than just once due to an issue that was brought up towards the end of his first term.
Lee Seung Gi replied, “You haven’t gone yet? kekekeke I’m going to miss you too ㅠㅠ“, while 2PM‘s Taecyeon replied, “Hyung, take care~ But I think this is your first text to me, please contact me more often,” causing laughter to break out.

Core Contents Media has revealed the face of member Oh Yeon Kyung from the upcoming female group THE SEEYA. The original SeeYa disbanded in early 2011 and this group will be a reboot.
Oh Yeon Kyung is 19 years old with a somewhat boyish appearance and she participated in Brown Eyed Soul‘s album ‘La La La‘ as a freshman in high school.
Core Contents Media revealed, “The rest of the members’ faces will be revealed in order. Their title song, “Be With You“, is a song that Duble Sidekick (Double Sidekick) composed and will be released online on the 12th.”

Having released “Cute” last month with 10cm‘s Kwon Jung Yeol, Byul has returned with a new mini album titled ‘Nostalgia‘ to commemorate her 10th anniversary since debut.
‘Nostalgia’ contains five new songs including the song “Cute”, as well as the title track “You Are So Bad“, and “Memories And..“, “One Secret“, and “Phone Number“.

INFINITE members showed support for their leader Sunggyu‘s solo debut.
Sunggyu recently released his debut single, “Shine“, and his fellow group members took to Twitter to show their support. Maknae Sungjong was the first to tweet, “Leader Gyu’s song is out!!!! o.o It’s the be~~~~~~st!!!!!!!! The early release song~ Listen to the song “Shine” a lot ♥♥♥“.
Hoya followed a few moments later with, ““Shine”… Sunggyu hyung’s solo album’s early release song!!!!!! It’s really good… I’m going to be his fan from today kekeke“. Woohyun followed next with a simple, “Sunggyu – Shine“, and then L with another simple message of “Shine congrats“.
Dongwoo wrote the longest support message, and even included a selca of himself as he tweeted, “INFINITE’s leader hyungnim Gyu-jiji. The master of emotions has finally had his solo invasion! The early release song is right next to me! I get refreshed just from the name “Shine”. I’m going to spend this winter with this friend..☞☜ Hyung, the second oldest is next to you, fighting!!“.
