Through the inclusion of their self-composed songs in every album, they are idols who dream of evolving into musicans - and they have taken another step to showing their own music to everyone.

B1A4’s 3rd mini album IN THE WIND starts off with a grand and mysterious atmosphere through its intro track, as if one is looking at a story. It is filled with 8 tracks with genres such as British modern rock, R&B, pop and acoustic pop, aiming to catch the hearts of fans.

As expected, the title song 걸어본다 (Tried Walking) is another song written and composed by Jinyoung, and you can see his outstanding producing abilities. Jinyoung’s self-composed intro IN THE WIND has footstep sounds alongside the tune of cello, violin and electric guitar, evoking a mysterious atmosphere as if something is going to happen soon. As if looking at a story, with soft wind sounds we move into 걸어본다 Tried Walking.

‘Tried Walking’ sees an exquisite harmony of acoustic and electronic sounds alongside strong drum beats, paired with the emotional voices of the members in the vocals and raps - making it a song suitable for late autumn. It is an emotional pop dance song that only B1A4 can express through their unique performance, and is worth the anticipation.

Moving on from guitar strings, IF..(너만 있으면) is a British modern rock song that shows off the members’ individual lyrical voices with a bass rhythm above jazz piano and vintage instrumentation. The participation of MISS A’s SUZY for narration of 나쁜 짓 안 할게요 (I Won’t Do Bad Things) makes it more dramatic and realistic.

뭐 할래요 (What Do You Want To Do) is a song composed by Jinyoung, and expresses the fluttering feelings of someone starting a romantic relationship with fresh lyrics alongside acoustic hiphop sound and humming urban stereo featuring guest vocalist Shina-E.

BE MY GIRL is co-composed and written by Lee Kyuhyun and Brown Eyed Girls’ JEA. With much affection, JEA even personally featured for the song. Paired with Jinyoung’s soft and sweet falsetto, this harmony gives new heights to the solo song. With the inclusion of IN THE AIR, an up-tempo song that expresses the want to fly up into the sky and escape from busy repetitive daily lives, it makes up 8 songs with a variety of genres.

They appeared like comets and received much attention as rookies in 2011. B1A4 has being broadening their spectrums through music, variety shows, musicals and acting. Not only in the music industry, they are artistes who are observed in the entertainment industry too.

Although I'm not a fan of the album cover, I do like how the flowers/leaves look like butterflies. And I don't follow them, but I thought Baby I'm Sorry was a really great song (all that autotune aside) so I'm looking forward to what they're releasing this time!

I like the cover. I am really excited to see what the boys turn out. Their music has been so on point this year in Korea and Japan. I'm just really excited to have even more music for them. We are so damn spoiled. This week is going to be the longest week ever.

On another note, I believe they have a really good chance of winning. No huge acts are coming back in November. Most are promoting in Japan right now. The only people coming back is Boyfriend, Dal Shabet, Fiestar, Son Dambi, The Seeya (rookie debut), and Park Jung Min. So hopefully they can get a win this time. It would be a perfect ending to their year.
