On November 3, one Chinese media reported that world star PSY and Girls’ Generation member YoonA were having an affair. According to the report, PSY, who often produces songs for other others, met YoonA about six months ago at a party. While YoonA hid in the corner and hardly said much, PSY was able to warm up to her with his fun and easy-going personality. Afterwards, YoonA attended parties hosted by PSY and developed their secret affair.

Netizens in Disbelief after Seeing the Photo that Sparked PSY and YoonA’s “Affair”

As we reported yesterday, a Chinese media reported that PSY and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA were in a secret affair over the weekend.  However, it’s been revealed that the report was based on a photo of YoonA wandering the streets with a man. In the photo that was included in the article, YoonA is seen wearing a hooded jacket. She’s seen walking and talking with a man who has his face covered with a cap. The Chinese report stated that his man was in fact world super star PSY.

Angry netizens, however, recognized the scene from popular SBS variety show “Running Man” that aired earlier this year. It’s been confirmed that the photo was actually taken by the “Running Man” team and uploaded as a BTS still on its website. 

Netizens commented, “Are you kidding me? Really? This is what you based your report on?” “This is unbelievable,” “Just because someone is Asian with single eyelids doesn’t make them all PSYs,” and more.

South Koreans Have ‘moderate’ English-language Skills

South Korea ranked 21st among 54 countries in the English proficiency index, indicating its people’s English-language skills are “moderate,” a global survey showed.

EF Englishtown, an education company, released its second survey for the year 2012, which asked 1.7 m people over three years in 54 countries to take a free online test.

The respondents were more urban and younger than the general population, the survey noted.

English proficiency was graded on five levels -- very high, high, moderate, low and very low.

Sweden topped the global list with 68.9 out of 100, followed by Denmark with 67.9 and the Netherlands with 66.3. The top 10 countries were all in Europe.

Among twelve Asian countries, Singapore scored the highest index with 58.6 and Malaysia came in second with 57.9 -- the two countries both have English as an official language.

As mentioned previously, ‘Birth of a Great Star‘ contestant, Noh Ji Hoon, is getting ready to make his official debut as a solo dance artist!

Cube Entertainment has released a second video teaser of the singer titled ‘Punishment‘ for his upcoming release “Next Big Thing“.

In the teaser, Noh Ji Hoon is tied and blindfolded to a chair. A beautiful lady visits him, eventually removing the blindfold. What happened to put him in this predicament is not revealed, but we are certainly intrigued.

Recall that in Noh Ji Hoon’s first teaser, his fellow labelmates HyunA, G.NA, and BTOB made an appearances with the BTOB members being sent on a search to find the whereabouts of Noh Ji Hoon, who is made out to be quite a womanizer through this teaser as the girls describe him as a guy who seems to know just exactly what to do and know exactly what they’re thinking.

Maybe that is why, he is now being ‘punished’. There are only a few days to wait for the answers to these burning questions and more.

Dal Shabet releases new jacket cover photo for “Have, Don’t Have”

Girl group Dal Shabet will be returning soon with their fifth mini album, ‘Have, Don’t Have‘ and revealed a new jacket cover photo of the girls on November 6th.

In the photo, the girls have transformed into “disco girls” for a colorful, more retro look, sporting a variety of accessories and flaunting their individual charms. It was revealed that the girls used a trampoline to create different poses for the photo shoot.

Ga Eun and Woohee also attracted attention with their new short-cut hairstyles. The girls raised expectations for their new mini album with a cute new look. Wearing unique stockings and leggings for the photo shoot, the group gave off a funky vibe to their new title song.

Dal Shabet’s “Have, Don’t Have” is a disco song that is easy for listeners to sing along to and the lyrics describe a girl’s cute feelings towards a guy.

Dal Shabet will be revealing their music video teaser on November 9th.

The Grace‘s Stephanie recently revealed the story of how she became close friends with actor Jang Geun Suk.

On the November 5th broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles’ Code 2‘, the singer confessed that she met the actor through an arranged date.

When MC Tak Jae Hoon asked, “How do you two become close when you work in two different fields?“, Stephanie answered, “I met Jang Geun Suk as soon as he arrived in Korea. The first time I met him was on an arranged date.”

She continued, “At first, we both thought I was the noona. However, later on we found out that we were both the same age so we became closer friends. Jang Geun Suk is a friend I can open up to and share things with“, explaining their close friendship.

D-Unit has released the second video teaser for “Luv Me” featuring member Zin.

The trio debuted this past August with their debut album ‘Welcome to Business‘ and its title track “I’m Missin’ You“.

Agency D-Business Entertainment previously explained, “We put a lot of focus on their style for this new album by trying out outfits that would normally be worn by male idols as well as the incorporation of tattoos.”

Dongwan’s ‘Be Strong, Mister Kim’ ranks #1 in viewer ratings on first episode

Shinhwa‘s Dongwan‘s ‘Be Strong, Mister Kim‘ brought in 23.6% in viewer ratings with its first episode.

The KBS 1TV drama ranked #1 in its time slot. It features Dongwan as the main character Kim Tae Pyung, an unmarried father who becomes a tenant at Baek Il Sup‘s house. While greeted warmly by Baek Il Sup’s character, Dongwan isn’t so welcomed by his son or his daughter in law, hinting at friction to come.

The drama is aiming to touch the hearts of people by telling the warm story of a 30-year-old single father meeting with various children and forming a family with them. It does not follow the usual story of an optimistic main character and an antagonist that is blinded by greed.

Dongwan’s acting also received much praise. The CP of the drama said, “I was with Dongwan in his 2005 drama, ‘Goodbye Sadness‘. He may seem fancy because he’s an idol singer, but he’s a healthy, honest young man. I decided to work together with him because I believed he would fit this character well. The character of Mister Kim fits well with Dongwan. Please look forward to him.”
