INFINITE’s ‘Second Invasion – Evolution’ encore concert sells out

It seems there is no stopping INFINITE‘s popularity, for they have sold out another concert within minutes!

With the successful completion of the ‘Second Invasion’ concert that was held on February 11th and 12th, an encore concert was added for April 1st to give more fans a chance to witness the concert. With the tickets for the encore concert opening up for sale on February 28th, the servers became overloaded and caused much lag, as 150,000** people logged in to fight for their chance at a ticket.

The 10,000 seats available were wiped out right away, making this the fourth consecutive time that the boys have sold out their concerts, starting with their Japanese concert back in September.

A concert organizer stated, “The size of the gymnastic stadium is not one you can sell out easily. Additionally, it’s even harder with an encore concert. INFINITE, who possesses strong vocals as well as powerful choreography, is evolving as the divinity within the performance world.”

The encore concert, titled ‘Second Invasion – Evolution’, aims to perfect some of the parts such as the sound, lights, and special effects from the original concert to deliver an even more spectacular show.

Twitch Site: Elizabeth Olsen Offered Role in Oldboy Remake

The film website Twitch reported on Tuesday that actress Elizabeth Olsen (The Silent House, Martha Marcy May Marlene) has been offered the female lead role in Spike Lee's remake of Park Chan-Wook's live-action film Oldboy. Park's film was itself inspired by Garon Tsuchiya and Nobuaki Minegishi's manga Old Boy.

Tablo will appear on Strong Heart's "YG Family Special"

Tablo will make his return to variety TV for the first time in two years. According to officials from SBS, Tablo is set to appear on the March 15 episode of “Strong Heart,” which will be run as a “YG Family Special.”

Tablo hasn’t appeared in any network TV variety shows since March, 2010, through KBS “Happy Together.” Even after his comeback with his new album, Tablo rarely made any TV appearances, as only showed up a handful of music shows, including his comeback stage on SBS “Inkigayo” and a brief performance on MBC “I Am a Singer” to support Gummy.

Since early 2010, when accusations of a fake Stanford University degree surfaced, which later turned out to be false allegations, Tablo suspended all TV activities. He signed a surprise contract with YG Entertainment in September, 2011, and a month later released his comeback single, “Airbag.” In November, he also revealed his first solo album, “Fever’s End.”

Tablo was in fact one of the guests on the very first episode of SBS “Strong Heart,” which sort of makes sense why he chose it as his first comeback variety show. Ironically, the March 15 episode will be Lee Seung Ki’s final “Strong Heart” episode. He decided to withdraw from the show to focus on his upcoming MBC drama, “The King 2Hearts.”

The countdown to Etude's new promotional campaign Kiss Note, starring 2NE1's Dara and SHINee, is speeding up. Etude released this teaser today which shows the five boys and Dara posing cutely for the camera and pouting. The first part of Kiss Note, starring Jonghyun and Dara, will be released on Etude's YouTube Channel on March 1st, followed by Key, Taemin and finally Minho's version. The campaign has been well-received and fans are excited to watch SHINee fall prey to non-consensual kissing.

Part 1 of SHINee and 2NE1′s Dara ‘Etude Kiss Note’ Story revealed

Earlier, we reported that cosmetics brand Etude House picked up two of Korea’s biggest superstars to help endorse their products this year. After releasing numerous teasers and photo shoots with SHINee and 2NE1‘s Sandara Park, Etude has now revealed Part 1 of their “Kiss Note” story.

Part 1 is titled: The Story of Coral Color Lips in the Day Love Begun Shyly. In the video, Sandara Park is a student in class only to receive a kiss on the forehead from teacher Jonghyun after writing his name in the notebook.

Winners from the 2012 Korean Music Awards

The '2012 Korean Music Awards' was recently held at AX Korea in Seoul on February 29th, where singers were rewarded for their successful promotions in 2011.

The results of the Netizen choice awards were revealed earlier, in which Verbal Jint won 'Netizen-Picked Best Male Singer', while IU received the honor of 'Netizen-Picked Best Female Singer'. In addition, popular idol group, INFINITE, beat out the tough competition to become the 'Netizen-Picked Best Group'.

The 'Korean Music Awards' acknowledges the achievements made by music artists in the past year, and the winners are decided by a panel of judges consisting of music critics, music radio PDs, and other professionals within the industry.

NU'EST (PLEDIS BOYS) TO DEBUT MARCH 15 & MORE!

Upcoming Korean boy band NU'EST will give their debut performance in two weeks time, according to their agency Pledis Entertainment on Wednesday.

A PR rep with Pledis told 10Asia over the phone that NU'EST is scheduled to give their first televised performance on cable music channel Mnet's "M! CountDown" on March 15 and their audio and video teasers will soon be released.

The official also explained that the firm will publish a magazine featuring information about the group and photographs and fashion tips from the boys.

"We plan on releasing the magazine at least twice a year depending on the response from our fans and the first edition will soon go on sale."

The urban electro band is composed of members JR, Minhyun, Aron, Baekho and Ren. "NU," from the group name NU'EST, represents the word 'new' and the letters following thereafter stand for 'Establish,' 'Style,' and 'Tempo.'

Ahead of their debut, the members of NU'EST took part in the "HAPPY PLEDIS" project to release their joint song "Love Letter" with After School and Son Dambi in December last year.

2PM’s Chansung wishes Jay Park the best

2PM‘s Chansung cautiously opened up about former 2PM member and singer Jay Park.

On the February 29th episode of MBC ‘Radio Star‘, MC Kim Gura asked Chansung, “How do you feel when you see Jay Park working so hard on his own?”

“I wish him success,” Chansung answered honestly.

The singer was then asked, “Have you seen him since he left the group?”, to which he responded, “No, not even once.”

“2PM does not have a leader right now,” he added. “We are all well aware of each other’s shortcomings, and we are doing our best without a leader.”

Chansung also revealed his defined abs on this episode, evoking the envy of the male guests on set.
