As for the album itself, I think it started off good, but towards the remakes it got.. not too good I guess :( (I even skipped Orion halfway through). I think We Set Off! is my favorite besides the promotional songs
i'd give the album a 6 out of 10. some songs were a mess and OP, i'm jamming to eeny, meeny, miny, moe too. it's decent :D
the album started all awesome with tick tack and forbidden love and suddenly there's a jumble of mess. but i think i have to give the album a few more proper listens. the ballads are okay... and i think i'm the only one here who kinda liked the japanese remakes... especially man man ha ni. i thought it sounded... sexier? lol.
nice effort but could have done better tbh. it's okay boys :) you have a long road ahead of you, don't worry :D
oh my!! i agree! show me your smile is placed right after a strong song but it sounded so... blah. and there's too much dubstep effort in this album and that's why it sounded messy.
oh! eli's a good rapper to me but ever since jaeseop joined, he is the STRONGER rapper so maybe eli kinda... drowned a little?
but i really have to give the songs more proper listens because i was listening to them while doing so many other things so i wasn't concentrating.
I can see why people say this album isn't very good. I think the songs sound very Jpop, which is, of course, different from Kpop. (Neverland will forever be my jam.) With that being said, I think this album is going to do very well.
I wish there weren't Japanese remakes that have Korean names with Korean in the song. Couldn't they translate it to English or Japanese?
I suppose, but don't they want to break into the Japanese market? I think it would be better to do that if there was not Korean in the song because other Japanese artists tend to in Japanese with maybe a scattering of English.
K-Pop is big enough in Japan now that I think the game is changing all the time. By releasing songs in Japanese and handling their public appearances in Japanese (I mean being able to speak it fairly well), they're making themselves accessible to a far wider audience and able to show their personalities more on TV, radio etc., but they can play on the exoticism factor too by throwing in some Korean words into songs.
I see what you're say, but I feel they would do better if they would do better if they tried to be Jpop artists not a group from Korea singing in Japanese. I mean, look at how well that did for DBSK. The strategies that work in Korea won't work in Japan.
Yeah, but as I said, the way that Korean artists are being introduced/marketed in Japan has changed a lot even over the last year. I think they're trying to play all their cards as it were, lol :) they're #2 on Oricon daily for the 29th, but the weekly chart is the important one so we shall see if it worked well or not I guess!
I RAELLY LOVE THIS ALBUM. Like, no, it's not Neverland level of good but then again, Nevrland is kind of hard to top. I'm also digging the Japanese remakes, esp. Shut Up!!
Overall, it's a different sound (what with it being more jpop-y than anything else) but I don't think that's a bad thing.
i like forbidden love, show me your smile, a shared dream, eeny meeny miny moe, & redial. the rest of the songs i need to listen to more to get used to, cause this album is a bit of a mess. also really like the man man ha ni & bingeul bingeul japanese versions, shut up is a bit weird.
I don't like 85% of the album? AJ singing is a good point though. It makes EMMM sounds good. Only the previously heard and title songs are good. And Forbidden Love, it's all about the fast raps and IMYME shit at the beginning of the chorus.
Please come back to Korea and oh Avex, stop re-using the same producers, Believe was written for a Tohoshinki comeback maybe? Oh and Redial on FB? Johnny's much?
I actually quite like this album since there are more songs to jam to than Neverland (Neverland and Obssession). Both albums has quite a different feel anyway. And this album definitely feel like J-POP sounding. And those awkard english sprinkle of the japanese is too common (I listen to way too much underated J-pop artist).
The only thing I don't like is the random dubstep like breakdown at bridge. That really ruins it. :S The rap seem acutally fine, even with Eli, but along with the breakdown ruins it.
I was actually hoping for them to sing URUSE!! (うるせー!) oh well :c
The CD is a mixed bag for me but I felt the same about Neverland... there is no nice way to say my other thought so I'll refrain lol (it's about the line-up)
I for one think it's a solid album. They definitely choose strong tracks as promotional songs. Some of the songs are passing by your ear, but I'm sure they'll be pleasant when you have listened repeatedly. No honestly, I'm content with the album, I hope the Japanese people like it too ^o^

Currently on "We Set off!!" Something about it strikes an emotional chord in me. Are there any lyrics for these songs yet? Or is it too soon for that?
