Two days ago, we reported that singer Yoon Do Hyun and MC Kim Jae Dong would participate in the upcoming ‘Running Man – Sherlock Holmes special' from SBS.

Photos have emerged online, showing MC Yoo Jae Suk wearing a green checkered coat a la Sherlock Holmes. Netizens also managed to spot another cast member wearing the same coat, but in different colors.

A ‘Running Man’ PD explained, “Kim Jae Dong and Yoon Do Hyun were the guests for this special, and they completed their shoot on a Busan cruise ship. It was a special involving reasoning skills so we were worried [about the results], but the members and guests did well.”

The ‘Running Man – Sherlock Holmes special’ will air on January 29th.

In a recent interview with Sports Donga, girl group Nine Muses expressed that they want to move past their image as "model-dols" with their current comeback. Several members of the group had modeling careers prior to their 2010 debut, which some felt hindered their ability to be recognized as singers. The group is optimistic that their new single, "News", composed by Sweet Tune, the writers of KARA's "Mister", will bring success and change their image.

"We believe that it was all a remedy for us to be acknowledged as a unique group," the group said. "We felt really good. We even heard ghosts while we were recording [in Korea, a good omen]. We worked so hard during the shooting of the music video that Euaerin even hurt her hand and bled. Furthermore, it's the year of the black dragon and two of our members (Eunji and Euaerin) were born in the year of the dragon. There are lots of signs that say that we will do well this year."

Veteran comedian Lee Kyung-kyu (52), who regularly appears on several TV shows, recently confessed that he has been taking medication to treat panic attacks for four months. The revelation has instantly turned the spotlight on mental disorders or depressions many people in showbusiness are vulnerable to.

"I constantly felt like I was suffocating and felt scared of dying," Lee said. His fans were shocked by his confession, as Lee always exuded a happy-go-lucky persona on TV as an entertainer skilled at making viewers laugh.

Panic disorders involve extreme feelings of anxiety or even panic attacks for no reason and occur unexpectedly. Over the past several years, a growing number of entertainers have admitted to suffering from similar problems. Singer Kim Jang-hoon fainted last October as he was about to go on stage for a concert in Seoul and had to be hospitalized. He complained of lethargy, insomnia and a rapid heart rate.

Heavily wired South Korea is policing its Internet in new and aggressive ways, giving citizens less room to say what they want about their leaders, their society and, in some instances, their combative neighbor to the north.

The tactic reflects a government that has trained itself to stay on guard for threats. Officials here describe South Korea as a democracy in perpetual defense mode, needing special measures to maintain order on an ideologically divided peninsula — one that becomes even more volatile after North Korean leader Kim Jong Il’s death.

“We need to preserve social order,” said Han Myeong-ho, an executive manager at South Korea’s Internet watchdog commission.

For South Koreans, 80 percent of whom use high-speed Internet, government meddling has long been a part of Web surfing: Anybody here who tries to visit an official Pyongyang Web site, for instance, will be redirected to a warning message, explaining that the site is blocked by government regulations.

But in several recent cases, critics say, South Korea has gone too far, cracking down on speech that wouldn’t draw attention in most democracies.

They made history by being the first Korean act to ever chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and now Wonder Girls are back hoping to do it again with their latest single "DJ Is Mine." The Korean pop girl group recently released the video for its new track, featuring School Gyrls, as the first single from the upcoming Teen Nick movie "The Wonder Girls," premiering Feb. 2.

The track itself kicks off with a dubstep intro before turning into a high-energy dance-pop track with both Wonder Girls and School Gyrls taking turns in the song's spotlight. The groups trade off singing verses, choruses, and share rapping duties on the dubstep bridge that sounds like it incorporates original Super Mario samples (ie: a mushroom power up).

On January 13, childhood photos of
miss A’s Suzy and Kara’s Kang Ji Young surfaced online. Suzy’s childhood photo was posted on a local online community board under the title, “Suzy’s elementary school photo.” In the photo, Suzy is seen wearing a tiger hat and making a cute “V” sign with her hand. Her playful expression is slightly different from her current image, but her “porcelain-like” skin and big eyes are the exact same as now.
