Because of the K-POP craze, Korean government decided to make a 'K-POP photo Calendar'. They are distributed to about 170 embassies.
The calendars made by the government have included the introduction of Korea traditional musical instruments in order to introduce the wide variety of Korean traditions. Inside the calendars, a total of 12 groups of Korean singers are also introduced, namely Super Junior, f(x),Big Bang, Wonder Girls, 2PM, MissA, Kara, 4minutes,Beast, Tiara and Sistar, etc.
Netizens commented, ' I think the government would do something to lead the K-POP showbiz.' 'I am fine with it.' 'Put some solo artists' pages into it too.' 'This is a compilation of wonderful groups so I want it too.'

After School's Kahi celebrated her birthday in addition to Christmas today.
On December 25th (KST), Kahi uploaded the photo above and tweeted, "Ah, I'm totally happy today~ I had seaweed soup early in the morning, and celebrated with a cake as well~ To our makeup artist who prepares a cake for me every year ~ Thank you so much~! I'll also put the eye cream you gave me (worrying about the wrinkles around my eyes becoming deeper) to good use."
In the revealed photo, Kahi is seen holding the birthday cake given to her by her makeup artist. Her happiness is apparent in her expression as she closes her eyes to blow out the candles.

2012 will usher in an influx of boy groups, and many are looking forward to seeing which ones will come out on top. To stand out from the crowd, a strong marketing plan is crucial for success. JYJ‘s Jaejoong revealed to his fans how he spent his Christmas: indoors with toy elephants!
On December 25th, he posted a collage of photos on Twitter, commenting, “Did everyone spend a warm Christmas? For this time, the tree is only like that. Also, I’m alone.”
He continued, “At an extreme state of depression, a skull is looking at me. Eh? What is it? Let’s look at it closely. They’re all just elephants. With just elephants as audiences, I’m playing a soccer game alone.”

Firstly, this concert didn't have christmas feel at all + it was an anniversary live so "X'mas" should be cut off of the name. I can't say I was or wasn't underwhelmed about the concert itself, I got used to nowadays' standards related to BoA's stuff. Sadly. But then I don't want to be an usual azn music fan who always picks out only bad things so. JEWEL SONG sounded glorious and every single performance of Kimi no Tonari de and Meri Kuri never, NEVER disappoints. And Rock With You and Eien were nice. Such a pity they didn't air the one whole segment (this one with atrocious afro, before the sitting-on-chair-singing-ballads section), not even a single song from it.

After casting a slew of idol stars in its high school-age cast, Dream High 2 has put a trio of its leads into an idol group within the drama. The stars who make up the fictional drama threesome are T-ara’s Ji-yeon, Sistar’s Hyo-rin, and newbie Ailee, Wheesung’s protégé who made a splash on MBC’s program Singer and Trainee.
In the drama, the girls make up the idol group called HershE, which I suppose takes the place of Group K in the original series. (Groan at the group name; they’re girls — her, she — we get it.) HershE is the group that transfers to Kirin Art High School and ends up teaming with a boy group already at the school.

After School‘s UEE has literally ‘dolled up’ for her latest pictorial with fashion magazine, ‘Elle Korea‘.
UEE was perhaps the busiest After School member of the year, joining the group in all of their albums as well as their Japanese debut, while simultaneously juggling her acting career with ‘Ojakgyo Brothers‘ and ‘Birdie Buddy‘.
In the accompanying interview with the photoshoot, she talked a bit about her expanding career, and how she hopes to pursue everything possible.”
