Code-V has returned with a new digital single titled "Summer Love," which was released on August 29th. The 5-member group released their full studio album "Honestly" this year in May after being away from the Korean music scene for so long, having been busy with Japanese activities.
"Summer Love" is a remake and has been redone to fit the summer mood. The song was originally included in their album "Honestly." Code-V is expected to return with a new look. "Summer Love" has been transformed into a dance song, very fitting for summer.
You can purchase their digital single on Bugs. What do you think of their remake of "Summer Love"?

It's good they're releasing a new song from their album, but I'm really not fond of the cover artwork.

On the 29th, 4minute’s Jiyoon tweeted four pictures of herself with Gayoon and Hyunah of 4minute.
In the pictures, Jiyoon and others do not have make up on. They are making funny faces like inflating their cheeks and pouting their lips. Jiyoon left a comment, “We’re at a hotel in Japan.”
On the 25th, 4Minute performed at Cube Entertainment’s United Cube Concert in Tokyo. Through this concert, the group has already taken a step to the world stage. Its next step is to be in Europe.

Boys Over Flowers star Kim Hyun Joong was in the country to promote his album, Break Down, and during his stay, he made a Pinay fan's wish come true. On August 26, at the press conference for The Face Shop, a popular Korean beauty brand he endorses, he met 74-year-old Patria Ragasa. She is such a big fan of Hyun Joong's that she and her daughter, Maria Rosario Ragasa, have been following his travels around Asia in an effort to have their photo taken with him.
Maria Rosario even wrote an open letter to the star, which has been circulating online in the past few months, in which she expressed her mother's desire to meet him up close and personal. In it, she also related how much she wanted to make things happen for her mom, who took care of Maria when she had a stroke.
Patria, who celebrated her 74th birthday on the day of the Face Shop event, finally saw her dream come to fruition when event host Grace Lee announced her daughter the winner of The Face Shop's charity auction held from August 18 to 21. Maria placed the winning bid of P100,000 for Kim Hyun Joong's autographed sports shorts and successfully got her mom a chance to have her photo taken with her idol.
Hyun Joong immediately approached the mother-and-daughter tandem after the announcement and shook hands with them. Both Maria and Patria couldn't help crying, especially after the Korean star gave them hugs. Patria was also able to present Hyun Joong with a scrapbook she made for him, and he thanked her with an embrace and a big smile.
Maria's winning bid went to the Abiertas House of Friendship, the beneficiary for The Face Shop's auction.

South Korean society is buzzing with anger over the government’s ban on numerous popular songs. More than 2,600 songs have been banned in the past two years after being flagged for ‘hazardous media content’ by the South Korean Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
Most singers had no options other than to accept the decision and adjust their lyrics to meet the government’s standards. One entertainment agency, however, filed a lawsuit against the government that deemed its singer’s album as “inappropriate for youths” and won the case on August 24, 2011. The decision was widely welcomed by South Koreans who have expressed frustration over the government’s regulation of their favorite songs.

TOP #1 in stars with 2% imperfection
2011-08-30 05:23 pmSuper stars also have 2% of imperfections?
On 23rd, Mnet ,' Wide Entertainment' has revealed the ranking of the superstars who also have 2% of imperfections.
#1 T.O.P.
T.O.P. can be said to be a homme fatale at his age and ever since his debut, he has been receiving a lot of 1st class treatments. Therefore, the confidence that he has in front of the seniors might put him to an unfavourable situation.
The seniors have many reasons to dislike him, especially when he had a chance to kiss Lee Hyori in front of the audience. Although it can be seen as only a gesture of politeness, wouldn't T.O.P. be more perfect if he tries to act more humbly and carefully when he is in front of the seniors?

lol these reasons
Representatives of Woongjin Coway revealed, “Ever since SNSD’s CF for our ice water purifier first began airing last April, sales for our water purifiers rose 400% in the second quarter compared to the previous year. Our recent releases have also been receiving the same effect, showing a higher rise in sales than ever before.”
SNSD signed on with the brand last March and have been promoting their ‘Coway, Look After Mom’ campaign. They’ve strengthened the brand’s image as the nation’s #1 water purifier and even managed to bring in consumers in their 20’s and 30’s when the brand previously only catered to those in their 40’s and 50’s.
Their influence doesn’t stop there, as Woongjin Coway also recently held an online survey with 100 women (aged between 25 and 39) asking two questions: which water purifier brand do you think of first and which brand do you prefer?
Woongjin Coway came out on top with 81% and 56% of the votes respectively. Their marketing team explained, “SNSD’s CF campaign has not only brought in a rise in sales, but also a new consumer base of those in their 20’s and 30’s. We’ll continue to use innovative marketing tactics with SNSD to continue our mark as the #1 water purifier brand.”

That's not a lot of seats.

I read before in your column that you have traveled to Korea. I am a huge fan of Koreanovelas. Can you share any Korean beauty secrets?
I got the chance to visit South Korea last summer. I love to travel because it not only allows me to discover the soul of a new city and the heart of a new country, it also gives me the chance to see how different cultures celebrate beauty and fashion.
If there’s one thing I noticed most during my trip, it’s that Koreans have exceptionally great skin. I always thought it was just the actors and actresses in Koreanovelas, but when I visited Seoul, even the elderly flaunt amazing skin for their age. They take skincare quite seriously. If in Manila we can find fast-food joints at every corner, in Seoul it’s not unusual to stumble upon stores of skincare brands on every block or two. You’ll literally find top Korean beauty brands like The Face Shop everywhere!
Last week, I had a magazine photo shoot and much to my delight, chief makeup artist Marge Apacible of The Face Shop Philippines did our makeup. It was my first time to work with her — I enjoy working with new people in the industry because I get to pick their brains and learn new things. Apparently, The Face Shop sends all their makeup artists on a one-week intensive makeup course in Korea. So I asked Marge to share unique makeup techniques she learned. Read on to find out some of the most interesting Korean beauty secrets.

After recently debuting in Japan, After School member Nana was picked to be the main model for the famous Japanese fashion show, “Tokyo Girls Collection.”
Working as a supermodel before becoming a celebrity in After School, Nana’s height and modeling skills were the reasons why she was picked. Several singers have modeled for this collection in the past, but none were chosen to be the main model.
An official stated, “Japanese girls are envious of the professional models in the ‘Tokyo Girls Collection,’ and for a singer to appear as the main model instead of singing / performing is quite rare.”
The Tokyo Girls Collection is held in Japan twice a year as a Fashion Festival and the latest Japanese fashion trends are shown worldwide. The event brings in an audience of over 30,000 and this event will be held on September 3rd.

CN BLUE Denied Entry Into Japan
2011-08-30 11:46 pm
CN BLUE’s visa into Japan was rejected therefore causing them to be held up at the airport.
CN Blue was planning to enter Japn via Haneda Airprot on the 31st, but due to problems with their visa they were denied entry. CN Blue was also denied entry into Japan for visa issues just as BEAST had been a few weeks earlier.
CN Blue has their major debut on September 1st. If their visa problems cannot be cleared up they will be forced to returned to Korea. CN Blue’s agency stated, “We are currently trying to quickly fix the problem along with their Japanese agency. We are trying are best so that this doesn’t affect their Japanese promotions too much.”
Koreans may visit Japan for 90 days without a visa as long as the purpose of the trip is for tourism. In cases of performing or making a profit, they must obtain a working visa in order to enter the country. BEAST was recently denied for the same reason and had to return to Korea.
