Drunken Man Disrupts ZE:A’s Stage

ZE:A recently experienced an alarming stage incident that had netizens once again criticizing the lack of security around performers.
On August 8th, the members of ZE:A were performing “Heart For 2” at the World Cultural Expo in Kyungju, when a drunken audience member suddenly burst onto the stage.
The video clip recorded the drunkard going on stage during the performance, stealing Kevin’s microphone before he tried to take Dongjun’s. He was quickly restrained by security personnel, and ZE:A managed to complete their performance.
On August 12th, a representative from Star Empire stated, “A drunken audience member suddenly went on stage during the performance. It could’ve been a dangerous situation but it ended well without any injuries. The members first thought the man was a staff member and laughed it off. It was just an accident.”
Due to other events involving lax security, such as Taeyeon’s kidnapping incident and INFINITE's recent stage disruption, netizens expressed their concern for ZE:A. They commented, “It was a dangerous situation” and “The audience seems to be been losing their respect and conscience lately.”

2PM’s Chansung cracked up his fans by sharing a photo of himself with an udon bowl that’s bigger than his face.
On August 11th, he updated his me2day with, “Huge udon that I ate in Japan!! This is for 2 people…Although it tastes good, we didn’t imagine it to be this big…Ke Ke Taecyeon-hyung ordered (but couldn’t eat) an udon for 3 people… Haha either way, I’m eating it well“.
In the picture, Chansung poses proudly with the udon bowl that he was about to tackle, proving that the size of it really was bigger than his face.
Responding to the picture, netizens wrote, “The result of being greedy… It looks tasty” and “End your Japanese promotions and hurry back to Korea. I miss you.”

The talented ladies of Brown Eyed Girls, who are all busy preparing for their comeback this year, have revealed that they’ve extended their contracts with Nega Network for an additional four years.
Representatives of the industry revealed, “The Brown Eyed Girls agreed to an extension and are completely focused on their upcoming album. The girls will make a comeback by the end of September at the earliest.”
The reason the girls extended their contracts was because they felt that Nega Network was the company who best understood and catered to their musical style. Not only that, but they had also debuted and fostered the girls’ growth and unique color.
Commenting on their comeback, representatives revealed, “We’ve tried something completely different from the Brown Eyed Girls’ standard style. It’s a sound that’s never been heard in Korea. We’re still working on a release date, and the members are all busy with finalizing preparations.”

It’s just been revealed that SISTAR’s Bora received some minor burns due to a lighting accident on the set of KBS’s “Music Bank“. At the time, no one was reported to be injured from the incident, but it seems that Bora unfortunately sustained some minor burns.
A representative from SISTAR’s agency stated, “Bora received injury after coming into contact with a stage light. She received emergency treatment at the hospital for minor burns.” They added that afterwards, Bora returned to the set in order to prepare for her comeback performance.

The riot situation in London's downtown is spreading across the UK and is giving off sparks to South Korea's entertainment world.
Cube Entertainment will be holding a family concert called 'United Cube Concert' in London (Wembley Arena) in November. But a disruption came as they prepared for the concert. The planned concert preparation could not work well because some of the companies that are close to the riot.
Cava Entertainment who's on charge on 'United Cube Concert' revealed, “The work is pending right now because of the current riot situation, and we will back into discussion again after it calms down.”

‘Kukak High School‘ ulzzang Kim Ga Young (of Eric’s upcoming girl group, Stellar) recently shared her thoughts on her acting experience with KBS’s ‘Spy Myung Wol‘.
She revealed, “I don’t have a lot of lines in the drama, but I am working very hard on it. More than anything, I’m learning a lot through the seniors.”
Commenting on her rise to fame, she said, “I was fortunate enough to have caught the attention of the public through ‘1N2D‘. Although I’ve just now taken my first step as an actress, I’m going to work hard and overcome all of my obstacles. I’ll be working with the thought of learning everything step by step.”

The music video shows off DJ Koo’s trendy performance along with the upgraded level of his DJ-ing skills.
What was especially noticeable was that the music video wasn’t filmed on a set but in an actual club in Kang-nam. DJ Koo’s song was turned on as the clubbers danced along with the beat, making the viewers feel the same atmosphere of the clubbers.
Not only that, but the ’shuffle-girl’ has been recently gaining a lot of attention. For this music video, DJ Koo went to a club and personally cast the girl in the video who has since become known as the ’shuffle-girl’.
DJ Koo stated, “In this album, I focused on the popular shuffle dance. Through the ’shuffle-girl’ I hope that the shuffle dance will gain momentum and be loved by everyone.”

Passions have flared again in South Korea over the naming of the body of the water separating the Korean peninsula and Japan. But South Korean anger regarding the controversy is now being directed not only at Japan, but also at the United States.
US caught in middle of controversary
The United States is finding itself under criticism from officials and the news media here for restating a long-standing policy of referring to the waters between Japan and the Koreas as the Sea of Japan.

T-ara, who is currently receiving much love for their song “Roly Poly“, were special guests on the summer vacation special ‘A Best Friend is Necessary‘ for SBS Power FM’s ‘Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time” on August 12th.
When DJ Choi Hwa Jung asked the girls about their first kiss, T-ara didn’t hold back and shared their experiences, drawing the attention of the listeners.
Eunjung explained, “I had my first kiss with my first boyfriend before I even debuted. I went to a cafe with my boyfriend, they naturally placed us in a couple’s section where the curtains were drawn. At that time, I had hurt my leg so I was walking around with crutches, but for some reason, I felt like I had to go to the couple’s section.”
She confessed, “The mood was set naturally, so I had my first kiss, but I was so shocked that I started tearing up afterwards. My boyfriend felt very sorry.” To this, the other members asked, “Why would you cry?” – drawing much laughter in the studio.
Along with Eunjung’s story, each member shared their first kiss experience: Jiyeon had her first kiss in front of her house, Soyeon had hers at an amusement park, and Qri had her first kiss in a car. Hwayoung even confessed, “I innocently had mine in front of school” – surprising her other members with the news.

On July 12th, T-ara’s Soyeon was asked about the rumors of her being born in 1968 on Y-Star’s ShikShin Road.
The host Jung Joon Ha and Hyun Young asked Soyeon of her actual age, and Soyeon replied, “Seriously, I was born in 1987. I’m just a year younger than Qri. I usually hung out with my mom and aunt when I was little, so I guess that’s the reason why I’m so used to the trend of 70’s and 80’s.”
Soyeon went on to explain, “I grew up with my grandmother. About all those old songs… I had a lot of aunts in the house, and they all liked having a lot of fun. I was there with my aunts when they were at the peak of their golden ages, and I think I just naturally learned songs through that.”

Lauded screenwriter Noh Hee-kyung is finally ready to come back with a new drama, and has got A-lister Jung Woo-sung (Athena) in place as the leading man. The series is Padam Padam…The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats; the title refers to the French song by chanteuse Edith Piaf.
The story centers around a man, Yang Kang-chil, a tough guy who’s lived a rough life and served some hard time as a result of a friend’s scheme. Let’s hope that guy’s no longer a friend. He meets a bright veterinarian, Jung Ji-nah, and thus begins their love story.
Jung said, “I decided on this drama because I was drawn to the way Noh Hee-kyung writes ‘family drama.’ Whether mother-son or father-son, the love and pain experienced by families is something I’d like to try portraying in a realistic way.”

Jang will be playing two different characters, one in the 70s and one in present day, as themes of young love get explored through the differences in the two generations. In the 70s, he’ll be playing a passionate, sentimental artist, and in present day he’ll be playing a wild and carefree photographer. I can see both why Yoon PD wanted Jang Geun-seok so badly, and also why Jang wouldn’t pass up the chance to play two characters in one drama. That’s an actor’s dream.
Love Rides the Rain enters production in September, and plans to premiere early next year on KBS. I’m officially excited.
