Piggy Dolls drop 20 kg each for their comeback

Piggy Dolls, the girl group trio that debuted in January with their first EP, “Piggy Style“, have announced that they’ll be making a comeback later this month!

At the time of their debut, the girls earned more headlines for their weight instead of their outstanding vocal talents. Together, they had weighed a total of 230 kg, with 20-year-old unnis Kim Min Sun and Lee Jiyeon weighing in at 90 kg and 70 kg respectively, and 17-year-old maknae Park Ji Eun at 70 kg.

After shedding tears over their body image and the inability to perform to their heart’s content because of their weight, the girls will be making a comeback with a slimmer image; reportedly, they lost 20 kg each. Late night practice sessions have been revealed to be the cause of the dramatic weight loss.

The girls debuted with the hopes of giving other overweight people the confidence to stand out, so this weight loss has actually put the company in quite the predicament.

A representative said, “They lost weight naturally in the past few months while preparing for their comeback. We’re careful and worried in case people suspect the girls of purposely dieting.”

Moments after its release, the song ranked first on nine different real-time charts, including MelOn, Mnet, dosirak, Cyworld, Naver, Bugs, Monkey3, Daum, Soribada, and many others. Their title track, “Good Bye Baby“, retains the sexy, chic image the girls are known for, but with an elegant twist.

f(x) Amber and Victoria for Nylon Magazine [updated]

UPDATE: Amber becomes Victoria’s date for ‘Nylon’ [AKP] — f(x)’s Victoria enjoyed a night time date, not with her ‘husband’ Nichkhun, but with her fellow f(x) member, Amber.

The two ladies are busy to the point where they can’t take time off for their own personal schedules, so they sought to have fun in their photoshoot for Nylon magazine’s August issue.

Inspired by the title of Sofia Coppola’s movie, ‘The Virgin Suicides‘, the concept for the photoshoot was to document a couple enjoying some late-night fun.

Amber, with her pretty boy image, was dressed in a men’s shirt and jacket, which presented the look of a mischievous young boy you’d meet on a London street. Meanwhile, Victoria executed the look of a sexy, yet cute girl with her short skirt and big wavy hair.

The editor of the photoshoot praised Amber by saying, “Even though we styled her in a men’s shirt, T-shirt, and jacket, she absorbed the look very well without any awkwardness.” The clothes that Amber wore were from a newly launched line by G by Guess, a menswear and unisex line.

f(x) finished their first album activities, and after their last broadcast, they went straight to Hongdae for their late-night photoshoot. Despite their exhaustion, they showed an enthusiastic energy.

The two members also impressed staff on set with their thoughtfulness for each other by ensuring that they both had a meal; they also joked around with the crew, which created a cheerful atmosphere.

T-ara, Kara, Supernova, and FT Island to Appear on a Korean Food TV Program

On July 18th T-ara’s agency Core Contents Media stated, “Currently production is underway for a show titled as ‘Idol Parasitic Houseguest’ (Only a temporary name) which will have idols leading the Korean Wave introducing Korean food.” “There will be 8 idol teams in total including Kara, T-ara, Supernova, FT Island, and more.”

They continued by stating, “Idol Parasitic Houseguest will have the idol groups become narrators and explain about the way that certain Korean foods are made. Through different mini corners they will also explain about Korea’s culture in terms of the necessities of life, music, money, and history. We are anticipating the show as a new information entertainment program that will have idols playing a big role.”

The CEO of Core Contents Media Kim Kwang Soo will produce the show, and it is currently being planned to be spread throughout different nations.

According to Startoday, there just may be yet another idol couple in the works.

Rumors have been floating around that a star girl group member, labeled ‘S’, has ended her relationship with a senior idol member, and started dating an idol member with the initial ‘K’, who is of the same age.

With a cute, pure image, ‘S’ has built a huge male following. She looks especially young for her age and has been receiving much love for her bubbly image.

A music industry representative recently commented, “‘S’ is not the most popular member in her group because she belongs to such a popular group, but there are many good words said about her”, and that “she is very popular between seniors and fellow artists in the music industry, and she is approached very often”.

The person added that “‘K’ and ‘S’ were always very good friends, but when ‘S’ got out of her relationship, ‘K’ began flirting with ‘S’, and things are looking pretty serious between them. Their acquaintances have began speculating that they may have started dating”.

So who are these two lovebirds? After some thorough research on what the netizen investigators of DCinside concluded, the most reasonable pair is KARA’s Han Seungyeon and Super Junior’s Kyuhyun.

Singer Sean’s wife, actress Jung Hye-young gave birth to their fourth baby at a hospital in southern Seoul July 16.

YG Entertainment said that Jung and her daughter are doing fine. Her daughter was born weighing 3.1 kilograms.

“God gave us a fourth present as our precious pretty baby girl was born today. Both the mother and baby are healthy and pretty. We are happier today,” Sean tweeted.

Jung and Sean married in 2004 and now have two daughters and two sons.

As good-will ambassadors of Compassion Korea, the celebrity couple is renowned for helping needy children around the world and for other charitable activities. They support 100 children in 26 developing countries. Recently, they pledged to sponsor 100 Haitian children.

"Retro" T-ara to release a remake of Nami's "Round and Round"

Seven member girl group T-ara will continue with their retro concept for a new song.

On the 19th, a representative from T-ara's agency, Core Conents Media revealed that T-ara would be remaking the mid 1980's hit song by Nami called "Round and Round". They also revealed it will be out on August 12th.

"Round and Round" is a bright, cheerful song that T-ara will be giving a "rebirth" by adding a modern element. It's fun lyrics and joyful melody made the song a hit back in the day. They are going to be giving strong commitment into making the remake.

T-ara began promoting their new single, the disco track "Roly-Poly" earlier this month and have attracted attention for their retro concept.

Meanwhile, T-ara will release their first single, Bo Peep Bo Peep, in Japan in early September and begin full-scale activities.

The lovely ladies of miss A recently participated in an interview and photoshoot for Vogue Girl magazine.

The girls were dressed in elegant outfits for this black and white-themed photoshoot, which truly spotlighted their feminine grace.

Min and Jia were given similar hairstyles, making them look almost like twins, while Suzy showed off a mature look. Fei also greatly impressed the staff with her model-like figure and flexible poses.

During the interview, the girls talked about their new album, their ideal men, the type of style in men they disliked, what you should do if your boyfriend cheats on you, and many other fun topics about guys.

Infinite’s Sungjong, “I Know G.NA’s Body Size”

Infinite member, Sungjong, gave a surprise confession that he knows G.NA’s body size.

The format of the show for ‘Life or Death Situation 1%’ aired on E Channel, the entertainment channel affiliated with T.CAST, is the six members: Ji Sangryul, Kim Changryul, Go Youngwook, Park Hwisoon, Kim Yongpyo, and Sungjong, solving quizzes.

On this day’s recording, MC Kim Gukjin asked “A singer with the height of 168 cm, weighs 47 kg and is a D-cup, which differs from her slim body.” As soon as he was finished, the youngest Sungjong, quickly yelled, ‘G.NA’, almost at the same time and showed full confidence.

The other members started doubting Sungjong after he answered it correctly and said, “How do you know G.NA’s body age when you’re this young?” To this, Sungjong answered, “I know because she’s a noona I’m friends with.”

Meanwhile, Go Youngwook, who was making a loveline with Sungjong through his straightforward affectionate actions since the first recording, frankly expressed his interest in Sungjong through the corner where they talked about their inner feelings. Go Youngwook caused the set to burst into laughter after saying, “I feel affection for Sungjong’s looks that are prettier than a girl group’s” And, “Call me oppa from now on.” This airs on the 21st at 11 PM.
